The Move

Jinx: Y/N?

Y/N: Yeah?

Jinx: This place is huge.

Y/N: Yeah.

You and Jinx were standing in front of your new home, which was quite large, as the movers began to move your stuff inside. Ahri told you not to bring any furniture but to bring stuff from your rooms instead. Of course you also packed your record player and all 103 records you had with it. And your cups.

You paid for those cups damnit.

Y/N: Still weird being here. Like, this is a really nice neighborhood.

Jinx: Yeah. I'm going to miss going to bed to the sounds of gunshots at night.

Y/N: It wasn't that bad.

Jinx: Agree to disagree.

You rolled your eyes before you nudged her.

Y/N: Come on. Let's go take a look inside.

Jinx shrugged and followed you into the house.

Jinx: Who paid for this?

Y/N: You know, I didn't think to ask.

You entered the the house and looked around. It smelt new still so it had to have been purchased recently. You set your motorcycle helmet on the counter and walked over to the living room.

Jinx: Look at the backyard!

You looked through the windows and smiled.

Jinx: Dude, this place is awesome!

Y/N: Yeah. Seems like it. There's a lot of windows.

Maybe too much. Whatever, you can deal with that later. Maybe. It didn't matter right now. You followed some of the movers to your new room and noticed it was completely bare except for the queen size bed. So that's why you didn't need to bring your mattress.

Boxes were already placed to the side with your name on them. Stuff like clothes and such.

Y/N: This is pretty neat. A bit echoy, but neat.

You took off your jacket and tossed it onto your bed. You caught your reflection in the mirror and saw the large scar on your forearm. At least the two bullet scars on your chest aren't visible with your shirt on.

You just sighed and returned to the living room. Jinx must've already been in her room since she was missing. You walked over to the counter and picked up your helmet before you winced.

It looked so beat up now. You've had it for as long as you had your bike, but it just looked so old and scratched and you may need to buy a new one.

Y/N: Sorry, buddy. You need to go.

Akali: Are you talking to your helmet?

You looked over at the entrance and found Akali and Kai'sa standing their with their bags. That was weird.

Y/N: Yeah. What's up? Akali and Kai'sa, right?

Kai'sa: Hello again, Y/N. Ahri told us that you and Jinx would be here early.

Oh! You just pieced it together.

Y/N: Wait, are you guys living here to?

Akali: Yeah. We all are.

What?

Kai'sa: Ahri said it would be better for all of us to be together. She went into detail about it but them she started mixing English with Korean and then she lost me.

Akali: Me too. Korean is my native language but she just spoke so fast.

Y/N: She always had a bad habit of doing that.

Seems some things never change.

Kai'sa: Are you guys already moved in?

Y/N: For the most part. We just gotta unpack and...

Jinx: Geronimo!

The three of you looked over at the loft where Jinx was standing in the railing. You then watched as she jumped down from it and into a pile of pillows she had stacked while you were in your room. Though the pillows cushioned the fall, you still heard a soft "thump" echo through the house.

Kai'sa: Oh my God!

Akali: What the hell?!

Y/N: Hahaha! Nice.

The two girls looked at you horrified as Jinx jumped back up with a huge smile on her face.

Jinx: I always wanted to do that.

She dusted herself off and walked over. You gave her a high-five before she noticed Kai'sa and Akali.

Jinx: Oh. Roommates. Yay.

Kai'sa: Don't sound too happy.

Kai'sa was going to talk to you, but her eyes fell on the large scar on your arm. It looked painful, and deep. Like something had cut into you or something similar.

Akali looked at the helmet in your hands and smiled.

Akali: So, you have a bike?

You nodded and pointed out the window where your bike was.

Akali: I love it!

Y/N: It isn't anything special.

Akali: I still love it! I always wanted a bike.

So did you. Ever since you watch Akira when you were a kid. And now that you were an adult, with adult money, you bought one. It had been a while now but you still rode it everywhere you could.

Kai'sa: My dad used to own one. He sold it when I was 16 though.

You nodded and tossed your helmet up before catching it. You'll put it in your room later.

Y/N: You guys should go drop your stuff off in your rooms. I'll be in mine if you need help or anything.

Kai'sa: Thanks.

Akali: When I'm done, I wanna talk about your bike more.

You gave a two finger salute and headed to your room. Once you reached it, you tossed your helmet on your bed. You then looked over to your boxes and sighed.

Y/N: Alright. Let's get this started.
----------
Y/N: And done.

You looked around your room and smiled at the fact that everything fit in it perfectly.

Y/N: Nice.

You gave a quick cheer and turned to your record player. You browsed through your records before finding the Johnny Cash album that you were given when you were a kid.

Mom: He's a real rock and roll star.

You smiled at the fond memory as you slid the record out and placed it on the player. You then turned it on and placed the needle on it.

"Ring of Fire" began to play in your room as you turned your attention to the bathroom attached to your room. You walked into it and looked around. It was really clean in here. You stepped out and looked over to the side of your bed where your skateboard was. It had been a while since you actually used it but you were going to get back into it. Eventually.

Though you did have one box left. It wasn't marked so you just figured it was Jinx's. You'd have to give it to her later.

You decided to go check in on the others and turned off your light. As you closed your door, you heard people talking downstairs. Walking over to the railing, you realized it was Evelynn talking to one of the movers.

Evelynn: That'll be all.

The mover gave a curt bow and left while Evelynn sighed. She rubbed her temples and sat on the couch.

Evelynn: I swear.

Y/N: Ah, everything good?

Evelynn shot you a look. Of course it wasn't good. If it was, she wouldn't be complaining. Her eyes landed on your scar but she decided not to say anything out of respect.

Evelynn: No. One of my boxes is missing.

You thought about it before it clicked.

Y/N: Oh.

You went back into your room and grabbed the box. You then returned to the living room and showed it to her.

Y/N: Is this it?

Evelynn quickly snatched it from your hands and glared at you.

Evelynn: Did you look inside?!

Y/N: What?

Evelynn: Did you look inside?!

Y/N: Ah, no. No I didn't.

Evelynn sighed a breath of relief as she began to calm down. You also noticed that her cheeks had gotten a bit pinker to. You just awkwardly laughed as you rubbed the back of your neck.

Y/N: The movers must've mixed them up. Sorry 'bout that.

Evelynn: It's fine. Not like it's your fault. As long as you didn't see what was inside.

What the hell was inside? Before you could even think to ask, Akali opened the door to her room and ended up hitting Evelynn. Her box went falling to the floor which you tried to catch.

You were too slow, and the box hit the floor. And it ended up popping open.

The three of you stood there, frozen, as the contents of the box spilled out. It was, lingerie and erotic novels. Some titles you recognized from Jinx's own collection.

You all stood there as Evelynn's cheeks went as red as a tomato. You then turned around.

Y/N: I didn't see anything.

Evelynn: You liar!

Akali: Dude! There's so much porn.

Evelynn: It's literature!

Jinx: Someone say porn?

Jinx walked out of her room and saw what was going on. She began to laugh while Evelynn gathered everything back into the box at superhuman speeds. She held the box close to herself and huffed before she stormed to her room.

You suddenly came to the realization that you would be living with five girls in this house. You were used to Jinx and honestly she was more of your sister than an actual roommate. As for the others, that will be rough to get used to. You could already see it.

Akali: That was totally porn.

Y/N: Please stop saying porn.

Jinx: What's wrong with porn?

Y/N: Stop!

Jinx continued to tease you while Akali laughed. It was now noon so you were getting hungry for lunch.

Y/N: Anyone want food?

Akali: Yes, please and thank you.

Jinx: I can eat.

Y/N: Cool. Kai'sa!

Kai'sa: Yeah?

Her voice came from her room meaning she was still upstairs.

Y/N: You want some food?!

Kai'sa: From where?!

You gave it some thought before you realized you didn't know what kind of restaurants were here.

Y/N: Good question!

You pulled out your phone and scrolled through the restaurant selections. This was some high end shit. Made sense. You were in a pretty rich place now.

Kai'sa eventually came down from her room and helped you look for a place while Jinx and Akali talked about what they wanted fo eat.

Y/N: Thai?

Jinx: Nah.

Kai'sa: Italian?

Akali: Not really in that kind of mood.

Y/N: Cajun?

Jinx: Eh.

Akali: Never had that before.

Kai'sa: Me neither.

Y/N: It's pretty good.

Evelynn walked out of her room, now looking a bit more comfortable but just as expensive, and noticed you were all sitting on the couchs.

Evelynn: What's this?

Akali: Y/N is buying us food.

Y/N: Yeah. You like Cajun?

Evelynn: I don't even know what that is.

Y/N: Cajun it is. You guys know when Ahri is gonna get here?

Ahri: Now.

You all looked back at the entrance of the house to see Ahri walking in.

Y/N: Food?

Ahri: Huh?

Y/N: You want food? Cajun?

Ahri: Oh. Sure.

Y/N: Cool. I'll order some dishes and whatnot. I'll go pick it up when it's done.

Akali's head suddenly popped up.

Akali: Are you taking your bike?

You looked at her with a raised brow.

Y/N: Uh, maybe...

Akali: Can I go to?!

She was suddenly really close to you looking at you like an excited child.

Y/N: Uh...sure?

Akali smiled brightly while you awkwardly chuckled. Tomorrow you got to work with the group. Today, might as well have some fun.

Ahri: Did everyone finish unpacking their stuff?

All: Yeah.

Ahri: Well, crap.

Y/N: Go unpack.

Ahri: But...

Y/N: Go!

Ahri rolled her eyes and headed to her room to unpack. It really seemed like you were going to have to play den mother as well as manager. Actually, you were really hoping Jinx would step up and help with cooking.

Ahri was never a good cook, as evidence of the forever present black spot on the roof of your childhood home. You wonder if you dad ever painted over it.

As for the others, Evelynn didn't seem like she cooked and Akali made a passing comment about how she had packed some instant Ramen. Kai'sa seemed like someone who could cook since she traveled around the world. She might know a thing or two.

Y/N: Alright. It's ordered.

Akali shot up and rushed to your room before she returned with your helmet.

Akali: Let's go!

You looked at her before you looked over to Evelynn and Kai'sa.

Y/N: Is she always like this?

Kai'sa: I haven't known her long, but I think so.

You just sighed and stood up. You then took the helmet and placed it on Akali, pushing her hair down, before you spun your keys around your finger.

Y/N: Come on.

You then walked out of the living room without another word.

Akali: What about you? Don't you need a helmet?

Y/N: Nope!

The girls heard the front door close. They then turned to Jinx.

Kai'sa: Is he always like that?

Jinx: Yep.
----------
Akali: This is so cool!

You just smiled as you drove down the road on your bike. Akali hung onto you as you avoided traffic. The wind hitting your face was nice and you were honestly a bit more relaxed now.

Akali: Thanks for bringing me along.

You just nodded since she wouldn't even be able to hear you with the wind and the helmet. You finally reached the restaurant and parked your bike before Akali hopped off. You then stepped off as Akali took off her helmet.

Akali: That was fun.

Y/N: Yeah. We didn't lose th backpack along the way, did we?

Akali was wearing a backpack that you used to carry food when you picked it up. She gave you a thumbs up and the two of you headed to the restaurant. Once there, you told them your order and the man left to get it.

Akali waited with you before her eyes fell on the scar on your arm. You really haven't talked about your past with anyone and Jinx seemed to be the type to keep quiet on things that didn't involve her.

Akali: Hey.

You looked over to her.

Akali: I don't mean to be rude but, where did you get that?

She pointed at your scar and you looked down at it. You rubbed it with your hand and shrugged.

Y/N: Got into a bad fight.

That was something at least. There was obviously more to it but it was also clear that you didn't want to talk about it.

Akali: It's pretty cool. Kinda looks like a tiger stripe.

You chuckled a bit.

Y/N: Yeah. It kinda does.

Your food came out and you packed it all into the backpack. You hopped on the bike with Akali right behind you. You started it up, and you were off.

You didn't know how your new life as the manager for this new group would play out. You didn't even know how living with them would come to affect you.

But this was the start of your new life. And you were thankful for it.
