The Deal

Y/N: Today is not the day for this.

Evelynn: I'd say. Rough night?

Y/N: Yeah, sure. Something like that.

Ahri: What happened?

You sighed as you leaned forward.

Y/N: Went to the club.

Jinx: Got groped.

Y/N: Punched a dude.

Jinx: Fight broke out.

Y/N: Arrested.

Jinx: Bailed out.

Y/N: The end.

You and Jinx did a mock bow before you took another drink of water. Everyone was now sitting in the living room, minus Jinx who was technically sitting in the kitchen, as you tried to figure out what was going on.

Y/N: What are you doing here, Ahri?

Ahri looked at you for a moment. Despite the fact that things seemed like they weren't the best, you looked well. Jinx did mention that you weren't struggling financially but Ahri didn't even know if you had a job. Or what you've been up to for the last 7 years.

Ahri: Well, I fired Roy and...

Y/N: You fired Boy Toy Roy?

Ahri: Y/N...

Jinx: I remember that dude. He was weird. Really dorky.

Evelynn: I said the same thing when I first met him.

Ahri: Guys....

Y/N: Why did you fire him? Thought he was gonna "take you far, kid" or whatever.

Ahri: Yeah, well, he would've. But he didn't give me what I really needed.

Jinx laughed and mumbled to herself about how "rich get to complain" before she went back to drinking her Sprite.

Kai'sa: Does she have to be here?

Jinx: I live here.

Ahri took a deep breath and continued.

Ahri: He wanted me to be this lifeless puppet to please the fans. He didn't care about what I had to say. The message I wanted to deliver.

You gave her an odd look before you shook your head.

Y/N: I dunno. You seemed pretty satisfied to me.

Ahri: Yeah, well, I wasn't. I was younger and dumb back then.

Jinx: Understatement.

Ahri shot her a look which made Jinx smirk.

Ahri: Anyway, I'm done with being "Pop Star Ahri". I left the label.

This was actually surprising for you. The last time you saw Ahri, she was so content on going down that road. Lifeless songs that were made for the sake of being catchy. No soul or emotion behind it.

Ahri: And I started a new group. This is Akali, Kai'sa, and Evelynn.

Kai'sa and Evelynn waved while Akali was too busy looking around the room. She actually liked the way it looked. Homey but also kinda like a beach house. It was so clean to.

Y/N: Uh huh.

Jinx: What are you guys called?

Evelynn: We're still working on the name.

Y/N: So what does this have to do with me? You tracked me down so I'm guessing this wasn't a just a friendly visit.

Ahri nodded.

Ahri: We need a new manager. Someone who stands with us and will help us show the world our message.

That was a bold statement.

Y/N: And you think that person is me?

Ahri: You told me how you felt all those years ago. How you wanted music to come from the soul. For music to become an art again. You were the only person to tell me that I was doing the wrong thing by being "Pop Star Ahri".

Y/N: And you told me that you didn't need or want me.

Kai'sa and Evelynn were surpised to hear this. Akali was just listening to the music being played in the background.

Ahri: I know.

Y/N: Then you left.

Ahri: So did you! You up and dissapered for 7 years. When I called my grandma, she said no one had seen you since your graduated.

Y/N: Yeah, well, I found my own way. And I don't think you really have room to judge me. When was the last time you went home?

7 years. Yeah. You had a point. But at least people knew she was alive.

Y/N: Look, Ahri, I know this might be hard to believe but I really don't hold on to pity crap. Especially after 7 years. But you can't honestly believe that I would just hop on board this "brilliant" idea of yours after not even speaking after all that time.

That was reasonable. It hurt, but you did have a point there. And at this moment, Akali decided to rejoin the conversation.

Akali: So what's the verdict?

You all looked at her confused.

Jinx: Did you space out through all of that?

Akali: Ah......no?

Evelynn: Why did you say that like a question?

Akali: Because I don't know?

Everyone just stared at her before you and Ahri turned back to each other.

Ahri: I know I left you behind in the worst way possible, but I really need you now. I know you won't just up and forgive me, honestly I don't deserve it, but you're the only one I can trust with this group. You know what I stand for. You understand what we want to say and how we want to say it.

You sighed and lowered your head. "Pop Star Ahri" was asking for your help after 7 long years of silence. Honestly, she had to be desperate. You couldn't even think about anyone who would know you were here. She went through a lot of trouble to find you.

Plus, you really did want music to mean something again. Words were just words, until you put your emotions behind them.

Darius: I can't stand this music, but my daughter loves it. It just makes me feel a bit closer to her.

That's what he said when you asked him why he listened to "Pop Star Ahri" during one of your patrols. It was stupid and most people wouldn't even understand why that stuck with you. But, he made a point. That music, Ahri's music, connected him to his daughter when though you were in the middle of a whole different country.

If this group can really do that for millions of people, with their heart and soul, then they should. Rather or not they really needed you, that was another story.

You didn't owe Ahri anything. Lord knows that. And you've never even met these other girls.

But they were asking for your help. Desperately.

Y/N: Tell you what, I'll be your manager.

Ahri: Really?!

She was surpised.

Evelynn: Really?

She was also surpsied, but more of a "you're joking" kind of surpise.

Y/N: Really. But don't think this is for you. If you girls really have a message and you really want to make something of this, then I want to help.

The girls all smiled but you stopped their celebration quickly.

Y/N: But, the moment you girls give up, and I'll know if you do, I'm gone. If you're doing this, I want 110%. No half assing. Deal?

Ahri nodded.

Ahri: Of course. We already talked about this and we're all in.

Y/N: Good. Oh, and Jinx is my partner.

Jinx: What?

Y/N: If I have to deal with this, you're suffering too.

Jinx just groaned as she dropped her head on the counter. Ahri looked over to the blue haired girl and sighed.

Ahri: Uh, sure. That's fine...I guess.

Akali: Woo! New manager. So, ah, when do we start?

Y/N: I dunno. Ask your fearless leader.

Ahri gave it some thought. She honestly thought this would take longer than it did. While she was thinking, Kai'sa noticed the chain peeking out of your shirt.

Kai'sa: What's your necklace?

You looked at her and tucked the chain back under your shirt.

Y/N: It's just an old chain.

She didn't believe that for a second. But she also wasn't going to risk losing you by pushing for answers. She could do that once she got to know you better.

Ahri: We can start at the end of the week. I'll arrange your move and then we'll....

Jinx: Woah woah woah! Move? Why are we moving?

Evelynn: So you guys can be closer to the studio.

Jinx: But...I just paid this month's rent!

Y/N: Just tell us where we need to go and we'll be there. I'll paid the landlord for breaking our contract.

Jinx pouted before you stood up.

Y/N: Now that everything is settled, for now, I'm going to take a shower and go to bed. See you all at the studio.

You gave a half wave and dissapered in your room. Jinx scoffed and stood up.

Jinx: Don't just leave them with me! I told you I'm not your damn maid!

The girls looked at Ahri who just sighed.

Evelynn: I really hope this guy works.

Akali: I dunno. Seemed cool to me.

Kai'sa: He's, ah, interesting?

Ahri: I need a drink.

Jinx: Y/N!
