New York , Jon's Apartment,
Brrring brrring - the Alarm sounds,
Jon trying to grab the alarm to smash it , and it's not the first or second time , more than he can count, he finally found it , right by his bed table , under the lamp, throw it on the floor and woke up..

"Damn this shitty alarm , I don't know why I still keep it.". He looks for his phone, looking at the window , he realised the sun is up , found his phone and checked the time , he was awestruck, " shit I will be late for work", he hurried up but fell on his knees with the bed shit wrapped around his waist, he stood up fast and went straight to the bath.

He came out of the bath, with a white towel wrapped around his lower part, still wet all over, he grabbed another towel and dried his curly black hair, he looked at himself in the mirror and smiled , he had grown , his dark and beautiful skin, his well built muscles, his five pack, which he still believes it's six , he is broad-chested and firm , his forearms ripped , a cross tattoo on his back specifically on his spin. He was no longer the young boy from his past..

He got ready for work, wore a white shirt , and blue black trouser and a black and white vase to go with it, with three bottoms opened exposing his bare chest , look at himself again in the mirror , nodded and took his bag and left for work..

45 minutes later he was finally at work, he had his own car, which he bought recently, he wanted to show off a little, he is working at a publishing company , the company is known as one of the 55th best publishing company in New York , he didn't say that , but the news did, it's a three to four storey building with over 100, 000 books and texts which have been published by them or others , kept in different sectors of the building , it has over fifty units covering advertisements, broadcasting, briefing , electronic texts, magazines and the list goes on and on..

The publishing company is named after the founder's late wife Victoria Anderson publishing company ( VAP) for short. He entered the building , greets the receptionist and walked to his office ..

"There he is the man of the hour, pretty much the latecomer" a woman said sarcastically.
"Keke don't you think it's too early for this , at least I am at work right".. Jon said to her as he place his bag on his desk right across the glass windows..

" says the man who always comes late" Keke said and chuckled.. " anyways I will just get straight to the point , the boss has assigned as to other job which I find it kind of complicated and I want.." she stopped and looked at Jon who isn't showing any interest in what she is saying, just looking through some papers , she is annoyed by that and went up to him and grab the paper in front of him.

" seriously Jon , were  you even listening to me?"she said , " of course I was", he answered, " tell me the last word I said", Jon trying to remember but failed " I alright I admit I wasn't paying attention , but I was still listening ok" he said trying to convince her. " it's alright, you always do that to me it's no news" she said in a low tone , showing clearing she wasn't happy, she walked away from him and Jon realising what he had done got up and followed her " ok I am sorry , I am just a little bit preoccupied, I will listen this time , and about the boss thing I know already , so you can tell me anything and I would listen ok.."

"You sure" Keke asked with a raised eyebrow "Yes" he responded with a smile, he pulled her over to where his desk is and seeing how Keke expression had changed he knew , he made a big mistake..

" ok , so Jon I read somewhere, that an Indian scientist named Rohit Pandey, made a claim that a suspected incurable virus will fall in our world in 2055, which surprisingly we in 2055.." she said spreading her hands , and looking at Jon.

"Ok so what about it" he said annoyingly

"We will be hit by an incurable virus soon and you say ok, fuck Jon , we are talking about a virus who knows what havoc it comes with it.."

"Yes I know what a virus is and what it can do , but we are left with three months till the end of 2055, so if there is really a virus , I'm guessing it's has to hurry up , since the end of the year is coming" Jon says ironically..

" you don't believe me do you? Fuck you Jon" she says pulling a middle finger up and chuckled, Jon smiled back at her, she steps further away from him , when suddenly a white man with brunette hair, wearing a sleeveless shirt and a black trouser with a sleek shoe , walking towards them..

" guys have you heard of the man who has been appointed as the finance minister of the state" the white man said and they nod in response, and he added " he is gay , can you believe that , and apparently he heads the LGBTQ+ something something, whatever they call it, how can that be possible, this world has really changed"

" And what seems to be the problem with that , Derek, he is gay so what , it doesn't mean he is not competent enough for the job" Keke says annoyingly..

" seriously, are you siding with them now , huh, I can't believe this , O I forgot , you have one of them as your friend right haha" Derek says sarcastically..

"Seriously Derek , you are an asshole , what does me having a friend got to do with me siding with them, and what do you mean by them , they bleed the same blood as we do fuck, Jon tell some shit to this guy he is pissing me off" Keke said and both of them turned simultaneously towards Jon waiting for his response..

He got up and signed , "we have a lot of things to do than to argue about what LGBTQ, or whatever it stand for".. he said..

"So you siding with him huh".. Keke said looking directly at Jon..

"Thank you bro, thank you , it really means a lot , man and man , woman and woman , hmmm nanaaa , it sends shivers into my spin.." Derek remarked..

"I am not siding with anyone, I don't care what they do or what they don't , they can have the world if they like , that is none of my business, I like women , and will always do , they like the same sex , that is their problem, I can't say they wrong or right so l let it be".. Jon explains himself..

"Come on who side are you on man" Derek says with his eyes shooting arrows at Keke..

"Let move , the boss has just sent in a message" Jon informs them, he took his tablet and instructed them to follow , and they did as such on they way to the door , he stopped and said

"But one thing that I am certain of is that , as long as you are different, you will be seen as a monster or abnormal in everyone's eyes.. let's go..

CNS news , interview with the Secretary of State;
"And that will be all for today Mr.Secretary, thank you for coming and we wish you good health" said the news reporter..

" the pleasure is all mine , thank you for having me" Mr. Secretary says as he got up to leave , his bodyguards follows him and direct him through the back stage , suddenly a man called him..

" Mr. Secretary of State please hear me out , I am a scientist and there is something important I have to tell you , please listen , please" the man said nervously, the bodyguards stopped him from approaching the Secretary , so he stopped and looked at the Secretary, giving him the sign to let him talk to him..

The Secretary signalled his guards to stand down and let the man talk, " go on Mr. Scientist, let me hear what you have for me"

" Sir, sorry for the intrusion, but it's very important for you to hear this , there is a virus spreading , and we don't know the cause or how it came about, but that is not the problem, the problem is there is no cure indefinitely.." the scientist explained, silence could be smelled across the place..

" what do you mean indefinitely, wait don't explain, I think I am getting it , so you saying there is a virus spreading , which has no cure and what.. arhm and there is nothing we can do about it right" the Secretary of State says ironically, the Scientist nods in agreement with it.

" how many times have we heard this" he says and look at his bodyguards who were trying to hold their laugh, " look Mr. Scientist, there is always a cure or antidote for everything , Ebola, cholera, all types of flu, HIV, COVID-17, etc. and we have find the antidote for all of them.
Note: in this world COVID came earlier..

" sir please this is different , right now it may seems as no threat , but it will soon, please we need the state help by providing more scientific .." the scientist was abruptly stopped..

"Let it come and we will face it head on, if it's the Chinese or Russians whoever , we will face them, go I will not hear anymore"

" no sir , it's not about countries.." "And I said no more" the Secretary of State signalled his guards to take him away, but the scientist refused and spoke again and louder this time

" it's the new born babies", "What?" ..
" they are the ones who carry the virus , we don't know how or why, but they are the ones carrying it and they will spread it , through breast feeding , and the mothers will also spread" the scientist explained..

"Are you suggesting we kill all the new born babies or what? Tell me , do the ministry of health know about this huh speak" The Secretary yelled..

"Sir we just need time an..", " take him away now , I don't want to hear it, fuck" he instructed his guards, he is now not in his right state of mind, he needed to leave before they drew any attention to them, as the scientist was being dragged he kept pleading to be heard..

Something unknown to the human race is coming, and this time nothing can stop it..

Flashback..
"What did you do , tell me !!" Micheal yelled at his brothers, " you're telling me you framed papa's death on Jon because he told you to do so , are you out of your minds , wait did you guys even think before agreeing on that , look at me I am alive because Jon brought me here, he even helped the others and now , you framed him and he is gone too".. Micheal stated in an angry tone..

" don't speak to us like that, we did what we had to do and nothing more, whether he killed him or not , does not matter he is no longer here.." Jacob said to his brother ..

Their conversation was interrupted by the doctor who came to check if Micheal was ok for him to leave.. " sorry , may I ask?, where is that brother of yours, he was pretty much worried when he brought you , he didn't even want to be treated at first , I thought he would be visiting you more often but no..

" sorry doc, due to some stupid decisions made by some people my brother couldn't come" Micheal says in an irate tone.

" O that is sad, I wanted to tell him something important, it seems your brother is no ordinary man...
