This is mostly a note to self but also a news to the readers of TMR so I thought I should make a post on this. I have decided that I would write TMR like a light novel series.

So what is a light novel and what am I getting at here?

Well, I think not many of you know but one of my main inspirations for the story of TMR is Re Zero. It is an anime but originally adapted from a light novel series. I have been a fan of the series for quite a few months and have marveled at its storytelling. I was at first most captivated by it's wonderful execution of mystery, and later on its brilliant plot and then again later on the depth of the characters. It's an all rounder to say the least.

So a light novel is like an actual novel like what we are accustomed with. The difference being- it has a few illustrations in it and it is most commonly found to be in numerous volumes. These are not sequels but the actual continuation of the story. So its basically a really long story arranged into volumes. I still might not have explained it properly and you all might think this is what a book series is, so let me explain a bit more. Point to be noted, all of this explanation is solely based on what Re Zero has been doing. It is spanned in arcs. Each arc covers a certain conflict and we get some answers but the story is far from being over. These arcs are completed through volumes so an arc may take multiple volumes to cover. (I have never read any light novels so there maybe a few errors in my explanation. However I am reading two at the moment.)

What I want to do is, make TMR into such a series and span it in arcs as well. We will have insight on different challenges get some answers and face new adventures with yet new challenges and like that the story would progress. This needs a lot of planning but I am happy to say that I have done a fair amount of planning already and need to work on only a few in-between arcs. I am really excited for this! This might be a long journey but it surely would be interesting and enjoyable!

I don't have plans for any illustrations at the moment though. And all the arcs that I have spoken about will be compiled into the current book. We won't be needing volumes as this is an online medium :D
