Daniel: Hey Kels, do you wanna maybe go out with me sometime?

I hand the phone to Kelsey and she squeals excitedly and types a quick 'yes' and I give her a hug and we have a happy moment before we go to the couch. They continue to text and I just watch a movie that I put on and we both eventually fall asleep talking.

Monday

I walk into school and look for Kelsey, Caleb and Daniel. Instead I find Emmet looking sadly over at me as soon as he sees me looking at him he turns around and walks down the hall. 'Weird' I think and finally find Kelsey, Caleb and Daniel.

I walk over to them "Sup" I say waving slightly at them and they all turn to me. "Hey Liz" they say to me and we all start talking about random things. When the bell goes we all separate and walk to our classes, I walk down the hall and run into a girl who was holding a bunch of books in her hands that are now sprawled out across the floor.

"Sorry" I say bending down and picking them up. "Its fine" she says and does the same. We both get up off the floor and I apologize again. "Are you new?" I ask her and she nods her head shifting her books to the other side in her arms. This is the first time I get a good look at her. She is so pretty. She has black long hair that goes till her waist and a slim figure. She has blue eyes and she has a couple earings in her left ear, she is wearing white jeans with a black top and brown leather jacket with black leather boots.

"So, do you want to sit with my group at lunch?" I ask her and she nods her head. "Thanks" she says and I wave at her before walking away towards my class.

At lunch

"Hey guys" I say and sit down at my table. "Hey Lizzie" they say. "I invited a new girl to sit with us" I tell them and they all nod and say ok. The girl walks towards us a couple minutes later. As soon as she reaches the table and slides in next to me, Caleb looks up "Hey it's nice to meet y..." Caleb begins and as soon as he sees her his mouth drops open. "Hello Caleb" the girl says sarcastically sweet. "Meghan" Caleb says grinding his teeth. "Long time no see" this girl who's name is Meghan says smiling sarcastically and Caleb glares at her. "You guys know each other?" Daniel asks and Meghan turns to him "Caleb and I go way back" she says her voice cold as she turns back to Caleb. Caleb grits his teeth and storms out of the Cafeteria.

After lunch

Kelsey and I head to the changing rooms to get ready for gym. I get changed quite quickly and wait for Kelsey. I sit on the bench inside the changing rooms and ponder over the question that has been bothering me since lunch. How did Caleb know Meghan. Obviously whatever happened was not a good experience and I can tell Kelsey knows something by the way she glares at Meghan when she thinks I'm not looking.

Kelsey comes out the changing room and I stand up. "Finally" I groan and she glares at me and I give her an innocent smile. We walk outside together and I decide to speak up. "How does Meghan and Caleb know each other?" I ask her and she immediately tenses. She waits a little bit before answering "Its not my place to tell you, ask Caleb" she says not looking at me and I decide to just nod and say ok. She relaxes and we continue walking towards the outside track field.

After running a couple of laps around the field I was making a good pace, but Kelsey not so much. "Can...we...slow...down...please" she said in between gasps of air and I stop. She stops and puts her hands on her knees gasping heavily.

"Come on Kels it's only been 3 laps 7 more to go" I point out and she holds up a finger as to say wait a minute. She breathes in and out one more time before she stands up straight and nods at me. We start running in a slow pace.

We finally finish and Kelsey collapses on the grass and I sit down next to her drawing my knees to my chest. I look over at the football field and see a guy looking at me but I never saw what he looked like because he turned his head away before I could see him. I turn to Kelsey and see her sprawled out on the grass and I laugh before lying down next to her.

After school

The final bell rings and I walk out of the school and into the parking lot. I look around at all the students getting into cars and finally spot Caleb. He is walking to his car with Kelsey. "Caleb!" I yell and run to him. He turns and sees me before telling Kelsey some thing and seconds later she nods and walks to the car. I reach him and he looks at me. "What's up Liz?" He asks me and I decide to just ask him. "Hey Caleb I wanted to know... How do you and Meghan know each other?" I say the last part quickly and his smile immediately drops from his face and he tenses. He relaxes slightly and he responds.
