Elizabeth's POV

The next day seemed easier, I woke up to sunshine shining through the opening of my curtains. I checked my phone and saw I had 3 texts.

I opened the first

(A/N main girl is Gabbie)

Main Girl❤🌻: Girl just saying went to the gym this morning and there was a guy and damn🔥 Will tell more at school

I shook my head and texted back

Me: Gabbie lmao 😂 See you soon ❤

Next one was from Emmett

Emmett🌵: Morning sunshine 🌻

I shook my head at this too and replied.

Me: Morning 🌵

I open the last one and it sends chills down my spine

Unknown: I will get you Elizabeth, you will be mine. Have fun for now love❤

My eyes read the text over again and again, it's probably a prank Elizabeth don't worry about it.

I get up ignoring the text and set my phone down next to my bed, I make my bed and then hop in the shower for 5 minutes. When I get out I blowdry my hair and then brush it, then I brush my teeth. I get my outfit for the day which is a cream coloured wool sweater, a red/maroon skirt, pairing that with some black stockings, one of my favourite necklaces and some black ankle boots. I smile liking the outfit. I then go to my vanity and curl my hair before applying some basic makeup. Primer, foundation, concealer, eyeliner, bronzer, contour, highlight and light blush before applying some lipbalm.

Satisfied, I grab my bag and put in my makeup, my phone, a water bottle and some other items I need. I grab the books that are scattered across my desk and grab my car keys before heading downstairs. I grab a breakfast bar and walk out the house to my car. I open the door and climb in before closing the door once more. I turn to face the passenger seat  when I notice a letter that I'm pretty sure wasn't there before, I take it and open it.

Dear Elizabeth

I can't wait to see you my love, you don't know me or maybe you do but let me tell you something I definitely know you and I love you dearly. See you soon p.s tell Emmett to back off of you

As I read the letter I look around expecting someone to pop out at any second but nobody does and it's just me alone in my car. Who wrote this? What do they want from me? Why me? What should I do? These questions raced in my head yet I could answer a single one. I put the letter on my passager seat and drive to school, maybe Gabbie can help.

When I get to school Gabbie is standing by my locker. I walk in and smile at her but it's a fake smile and even she can see. After I finish taking books out my locker and putting them in I close my locker door and Gabbie pulls me to the bathroom. She checks if there is anyone else in there and seeing that there isn't she turns to me. "What's happened?" She asks and I sigh and open my bag pulling out the letter and my phone. I show her the text first and she looks at me, "Who is this creep?" She asks and I shrug. "But what's worse is I found this in my car" I say and hand her the letter. She reads it and looks at me. "You need to take this to the police, Lizzie" she says and I shake my head taking the note back. "Not until I find out who is behind it and it it is a prank or not" I say and she shakes her head. "He was in your car Lizzie and he got your number, he could be dangerous" she says worriedly and I look at her sternly. "Not a word to anyone" I say to her and she sighs before nodding. "Thank you" I say as the bell rings for first period and as I exit I hear Gabbie mutter, "I hope you know what your doing" and I think to myself, 'I hope so too.'

As I walk into my first classroom I see only one spot open and it's next to suprise Emmett. I didn't even know he was in this English class. I walk and sit down next to him and he gives me a smile. "Hey Lizzie" he says and I smile back at him, "Hey Emmett" I say and then turn to the teacher. "Alright so Romeo and Juliet, who knows the story" everyone puts up their hand. "Who has read the actual book" and a lot of people put down their hands except for me and...Emmett. He's read Romeo and Juliet?

"Ah interesting well I'm putting a copy on all of your desks and I suggest you read it quickly because I have an assignment for all of you. You will submit a book report about Romeo and Juliet as well as perform a short play on it as well. You will be in pairs of two so who ever your sitting next to will be your partner, good luck you may read the book or discuss with your partner about the assignment.

I have to be partners with Emmett, I turn to face him and he is smirking at me, "This is gonna be fun isn't it Lizzie" he says with a small laugh and I try convince myself to try and be friends with him so that's what I'm gonna do. Set aside the past and be friends with him but...can I?
