Chapter Twenty-Seven, A New Discovery

Jasper and Valerie had been home for a few days now and decided to stay with her Dad. As they had missed Jace and her Dad so much, and they wanted to spend time with them. They haven't gone to see Carlisle yet, but they were going today. Then apparently, Charlie and Jasper have a surprise for Valerie, and she couldn't help but wonder what it was. And where her Dad is as she's barely seen him since they got back and Valerie missed him.

Valerie was startled out of her thoughts when a little hand grabbed a finger and a larger hand ran gently through her hair.
"Hello baby." Valerie said kissing Jace's lips making him giggle before she kissed Jasper's lips. "Hello handsome." She said against his lips, making him smile.
"Are you alright darlin'?" Jasper asked concern clearly in his tone, from where he lay on the other side of Jace. Since they came back from our honeymoon they've had Jace in bed with them after they woke up, the past two days, the three of them just cuddling together in bed.

"I'm fine Jazz. I was just lost in thought." Valerie assured smiling happily at him. Jasper didn't look convinced for a moment before he nodded and kissed Valerie and then Jace made him giggle again.
"Good. I'm glad, my love. We'll head to Esme's today and get Carlisle to check you over." Jasper said.
"Okay, well we better get this munchkin some breakfast then." Valerie said tickling Jace, making his giggles ring around the room.
"I love you. Both of you." Jasper said suddenly,  kissing Jace and Valerie, before tickling Jace making him giggle again.
"I love you too. And Mama loves you." Valerie smiled, kissing Jace and Jasper again.
"Wuv Dada. Wuv Mama." Jace said cutely. Before Jace and Valerie tickled Jasper who pretended to laugh for Jace's sake.

Once they had breakfast and got a squirmy Jace dressed in dark blue tracksuit bottoms that had a lighter blue patch on the knees, white socks, a white T-shirt, a light blue jumper and white trainers.
"Now, my little wolf, what toys shall we play with?" Valerie asked, sitting on the floor in her pyjamas while trying not to be sick. She had been feeling nauseous since she woke up this morning. "This one?" Valerie asked when Jace handed her a story book that made noises and had fabrics he could touch. "Okay then." Valerie smiled, kissing his head as he sat down in her lap and started the story. After reading the rather short story for the fifth time Valerie heard a voice behind her just as she was about to reread it.

"Shall we let Mama get dressed, Jace and Dada read you the story?" Jasper asked coming to sit next to Valerie, dressed in dark indigo jeans, a black shirt with a blue over shirt, brown shoes and a green bomber jacket. "Are you okay baby?" Jasper whispered to Valerie concerned as he held his arms out for Jace. Valerie nodded her head whispering she felt a little sick but otherwise okay.
"Mama." Jace denied shaking his head.
"I'll be back in a minute baby, you go to Dada and have cuddles." Valerie coaxed smiling when he walked over to Jasper and sat in his lap with the book now in Jasper's hand. Kissing them both Valerie raced off for a shower. 

Climbing into the shower Valerie let out a sigh as the hot water hit the tense muscles in her back, instantly relaxing. Quickly she washed and conditioned her hair, shaved and washed before climbing out, only to notice she had a little bump, smiling happily Valerie ran her hand over the bump just staring at it in the mirror for a minute or two. Drying herself off and wrapping her hair in a towel, she did her routine before finishing off with deodorant and went into her room. Changing into her black underwear, socks, blue jeans and white trainers, a white off-the-shoulder  top. After hanging the towels up in the bathroom on the towel rack. Valerie sat at her vanity running a brush through her curly hair, deciding to leave most of it down but braided a section backwards on her head and ended in a bun.

She also decided to go with natural eyeshadow, winged eyeliner, and mascara and red lipstick before she slipped on my black leather jacket and leaned on the doorframe watching Jasper read to Jace enthusiastically and making him giggle and try to copy him only for the words to come out in a cute baby babble. Valerie just stood there watching them silently until they finished the book letting them have an adorable daddy-son moment.
"You ready darling?" Jasper asked standing up with Jace on his hip after he put the book back like he was asked. "You look beautiful my love." Jasper said kissing Valerie happily and letting Jace kiss his mum before he kissed the little bump and Jace copied, of course he noticed, and that was just adorable. Valerie knew Jace will be a great big brother.

"Thank you, and you look handsome." Valerie said, kissing Jasper. "And you, my little prince, look dashing." Valerie said, taking Jace into her arms kissing all over his face making him giggle while Jasper put Jace's jacket on him. "Now we're ready aren't we?" Valerie asked. Jasper and Valerie laugh when Jace clapped his hands happily.
"Everything is already in the car." Jasper agreed, linking his hand with Valerie's as they went downstairs.
"Oh, look at that, my little prince. Daddy takes good care of us, doesn't he? Yes he does." Valerie exclaimed, rubbing noses with Jace making him giggle before kissing Jasper's cheek gratefully.
"You okay my love?" Jasper asked as he got in the car taking Valerie's hand and kissing the back of it.

"Perfect. Are you?" Valerie asked leaning forwards to kiss his lips tenderly.
"I'm perfect, baby." Jasper kissed her hand once more as he started the car. Pulling out of the driveway we made the familiar journey to Esme's. Coming up to the house we saw everyone was waiting outside with large smiles on their faces, Emmett and Iris bounding towards the car before they even pulled into the driveway, and before Jasper had turned off the engine Emmett was opening the door, and Iris was helping Valerie out of the car pulling her into her arms.
"I was going to hug Val first!" Emmett complained, stomping his foot like a child making Jace and Valerie laugh.
"Well too bad. You snooze, you lose, big brother." Iris argued, turning her back to Emmett so he couldn't take Valerie out of her arms.

"My turn!" Emmett exclaimed, taking Valerie from Iris and into his large arms, lifting her up and spinning Valerie around, making her feel sick and dizzy again.
"Emmett! Put my wife down!" Jasper ordered looking rather hot with Jace on his hip as he glared at them.
"No!" Emmett denied. "You had her all to yourself on your honeymoon and since you came back. I missed my sister."
"Emmett please put me down, I feel sick." Valerie asked, trying not to throw up. Emmett looked at her for a second before gently putting Valerie down and rubbing her back apologising but Valerie just waved them away while taking deep breaths.

Once she was alright again Bree, Rose, Alice, Esme and Carlisle pulled Valerie into a hug.
"Carlisle, can you check Val over? We think she's pregnant as she felt something move and she brought up animal blood when I gave it to her. That's why we came home early." Jasper asked.
"Of course, son. Val let's head to my office and we can figure out if you are or not." Carlisle smiled reassuringly as he led the way back into the house.
"Rose, can you watch Jace please?" Valerie asked her.

"Of course." Rose agreed. "After Carlisle has checked you over, I want to know everything about your honeymoon." Rose winked laughing as she took Jace into the living room and Jasper and Valerie followed Carlisle upstairs, the three of them shaking their heads at Rose.
"Right, hop on the bed Val and we'll take a look." Carlisle said as he set up the ultrasound machine. After undoing her high-waist jeans and rolling up her shirt Valerie hopped on the bed and laid down, grasping Jasper's hand in hers nervously.
"It's okay darling." Jasper said holding her hand just as tightly as he kissed Valerie's temple lovingly and sent her calming waves.

"I know you're used to this, but it's going to be cold." Carlisle warned as he put the gel on her stomach causing Valerie to gasp softly, but she tried not to move as he moved the wand over her stomach. "Okay. It looks like you're having twins." Carlisle smiled, turning the screen to face them as he pointed out the white dots that were their babies.

"Jasper, our babies." Valerie said in awe and her throat tight, much like she was when she saw Jace for the first time.
"I know darlin'." Jasper said in awe as he wrapped his arms around Valerie holding her tightly and kissing her head every so often, both of their faces sporting blinding smiles.
"Congratulations Valerie, Jasper. They're both doing well and it appears you're nine weeks pregnant with non-identical twins. That's why there's two sacs." Carlisle explained when he saw their confused faces.
"So Val and the babies are alright?" Jasper asked worriedly.

"They're fine Jasper. Val is doing well despite how fast the babies have grown and the babies are fine too." Carlisle assured. "But, we can try blood to make sure." Carlisle added, going to the corner and coming back a few minutes later with a cup of blood. Only, the same thing happened like with the animal blood, Valerie ended up throwing up, a lot.
"I'm sorry." Valerie gasped after she finished dry heaving, wiping the tears from her face.
"Don't apologise, love." Jasper said, kissing her forehead as he handed Valerie some water.

"It seems the babies don't want that blood either. As all of you are fine and you can keep food down apart from the morning sickness, everything should be fine. It could be due to you being a werewolf. But if they've grown again at your next scan or perhaps before that, we'll try again." Carlisle assured.
"Thank you Carlisle." Valerie said gratefully, giving him a hug after she'd sorted herself out.
"You don't need to thank me, you're my daughter now Val. Here, I thought you'd like these." Carlisle said, handing Jasper and Valerie scan pictures.
"Thank you Carlisle." Jasper said gratefully. "Shall we go see our son now?" Jasper asked. Valerie nodded and almost pulled Jasper out of the room making Jasper and Carlisle laugh.

"Calm down darlin'." Jasper said, kissing Valerie's head as they walked down the stairs more calmly, well in her case.
"Well?" Iris asked, being the first one to spot the newly married couple.
"Twins." Jasper exclaimed excitedly as he passed around the scan photo. "Val can't keep blood down but Carlisle's not worried for the time being as they're all fine. He thinks it's due to Valerie being a werewolf."
"And you, my little munchkin." Valerie said, taking Jace from Emmett and rubbing their noses together. "Are going to be a big brother to the babies in Mama's tummy." Valerie said, kissing all over his face and letting him rest his hands on her stomach as she sat in between Rose and Bree.
Jace giggled when he felt them move and rested his hands there again giggling.

"Bay-bee." Jace said looking up at Valerie and Jasper who stood behind them.
"That's right, my lil wolf and no one, no one is ever going to make you feel second best, my little prince for how can they? You're our little wolf prince." Jasper declared and subtly sent a look to everyone, (who all look affronted at his suggestion), before he leaned over the back of the sofa and Valerie's shoulder to press kisses all over Jace's face.
"I'm so happy for you auntie Val and uncle Jasper." Bree said gently leaning into Valerie's side to give her a hug. After that everyone came over to give them all hugs and congratulations.
"Two surprises in one day!" Emmett exclaimed before he was cut off by everyone.
"Emmett!!!!" They all shouted annoyed.
"What?" Emmett asked, confused. "Oh sh- crap! Sorry." Emmett apologised.

"What surprise?" Valerie asked, confused.
"I was going to tell you later. You up for a little trip darlin'?" Jasper asked sending a glare to Emmett before he held his hand out to Valerie.
"Okay." Valerie said confused, placing her hand in Jasper's as he helped her up and they wrapped Jace back up in his coat and put his shoes back on. "Are you all coming too?" Valerie asked confused as they all got into their cars as Jasper strapped Jace in.
"Of course I want to capture your reaction. Like I did when Jace felt the twins." Alice exclaimed cheerfully, holding up her phone briefly before she got in her car with Iris.

Once Valerie, Jace and Jasper were ready and got in the car, they were driving aimlessly for a while, or at least to Valerie it seemed, until she noticed where they were going. It was to their spot, the spot Jasper and Valerie always went to. Turning away from the window to Jasper and raising a questioning eyebrow at him, but he just smirked and kissed her hand.
"Mama." Jace called.
"It's okay my lil wolf, we'll be there soon." Jasper said, looking at their son through the rear view mirror. Not ten minutes later Jasper pulled the car over and Valerie couldn't believe her eyes. She actually couldn't believe what was in front of her.
