Chapter Ten, Girls Day Out

A few days after the summer holidays had started and two days after the last Full Moon, the girls had finally come up with a day that worked for all of them, and Valerie was so excited to spend time with all of them. She'd also promised Emily to have a girls day, just them, the following day, which the elder woman appreciated. Jasper laughed at Valerie's excitement that he could feel before she even opened her eyes; he kissed her head lovingly as she opened her eyes.
"Morning darlin." Jasper said, kissing her again and holding her closer.
"Mmm. Morning babe." Val hummed, against Jasper's lips. "I love you." She hummed, kissing his lips as she wrapped her arms around his neck, and used her wolf strength to flip them over so she was on top. Surprising Jasper but he didn't mind.
"I love you too." Jasper said huskily, kissing Valerie passionately causing them both to moan as they ran their fingers over each other's sides.

"What's wrong?" Jasper asked concerned, pulling back when he felt pain course through her.
"Nothing, just feeling a little full." Valerie assured, massaging her breast a little before kissing her mate again. They weren't having sex yet as they had agreed to wait until they were married. They'd discussed it a few days ago as Jasper has always wanted that since he was human and Valerie wanted to do that for him, especially as Maria ruined a lot of things for him. But that didn't mean they couldn't do other things.

"You sure?" Jasper asked, his hand resting on her short clad hip. Instead of answering Valerie pushed her assurances, love, happiness and lust at Jasper and that was all he needed. He slipped his hand beneath her pyjama shorts groaning at how wet she was. He locked his darkening eyes on her face taking in each emotion that passed over her face as he slipped a finger slowly inside her. Major purring proudly in his mind. Valerie gasped, closing her eyes and tilting her head back, breathy moans passing past her raspberry lips.

Slowly Jasper slipped in finger after finger until Valerie was a squirming mess on the bed.
"Come for me darlin." Jasper whispered huskily, in her ear as he kissed down her neck. With that Valerie came undone crying out Jasper's name, when Jasper got her g-spot and kissed a certain spot on her neck leaving her panting. Jasper kissed her lips lovingly before slowly removing his fingers from her and licking them clean, when Jace woke up.
"I didn't get to help you." Valerie complained, noticing his tented pyjama bottoms.
"This was about you darlin. I'm fine." Jasper assured, kissing her lips again. "I'm gonna have a shower, then run you a bath when I get out, and I'll get the lil' wolf some breakfast after you've fed him."

"Thank you babe. I'll get him dressed though as you gave him a bath last night." Valerie laughed, remembering a soaked Jasper. "Enjoy your shower, don't have fun without me." She teased, laughing as she dodged his playful swipe and went to feed Jace. She was slowly weaning Jace off breast milk and on to follow in milk, but sometimes like today she just felt too full. And other times like after when he had his injections, and now that he's teething he just likes the comfort and assurance it brings him.

Jasper quickly dressed in a tracksuit after his shower as he was going hunting with Emmett and Iris, while Rosalie and Alice went hunting together. Carlisle had a shift at the Hospital, and Esme had volunteered to help Charlie at the police station.
"Don't you look handsome, my lil wolf." Jasper smiled, standing in the doorway spotting Valerie sitting on the floor and Jace holding her hands as he bounced on his feet laughing. He had on a striped T-shirt, white trainers and denim dungarees.

"Dada." Jace shouted, causing Jasper to smile wistfully at him as he joined Valerie on the floor.
"You know he can be a big brother eventually, right?" Valerie hinted, spotting the wistful look on his face.
"What?" Jasper asked hopefully, he always dreamed of Jace being a big brother to a little brother and sister with curly blonde hair, one with green eyes and one with his brown human eyes.

"Male vampires can have kids with humans, Dhampires. A Dhampir pregnancy is faster than a normal pregnancy, and can sometimes be dangerous if the human doesn't drink blood. They can also have kids with werewolves, Hybrids. A Hybrid pregnancy is slower than the Dhampir pregnancy, but it is slightly faster than a normal one. Female vampires can also have kids, but only if they have that specific gift." Valerie explained, listing it as if she knew it off by heart and watching Jasper's face carefully.
"How'd you know?" Jasper asked eagerly.
"My Grandad told me. He made certain to learn everything he could about vampires, he called it a strategic advantage as an Alpha." Valerie explained, only to suddenly have her lips claimed in a passionate kiss.

"Thank you for telling me darlin. I love Jace as a son, my son, and I've dreamed of him being a big brother to a little sister and a little brother. But I always thought it was just that: a dream. To learn it's not; I can't explain how happy I am." Jasper said passionately, one hand resting on Valerie's cheek brushing against her cheekbone gently, and the other on Jace's back making sure he didn't fall.
"I always want you to be happy, Jazz, and I have no doubts on how you think and feel about Jace. All I have to do is watch and listen to see how much." Valerie said, kissing his lips. "You got him? I'm gonna have a bath. The girls will be here soon and so will Emmett and Iris."
"I've got him." Jasper assured, watching as his mate rubbed noses with Jace making the eight month old laugh as Valerie kissed him and proclaimed her love.
"And I love you." Valerie said, bending down to kiss Jasper.
"I love you too." Jasper said, with the biggest smile watching her leave for her bath.

After a relaxing bath Valerie quickly dried off, did her necessities, and put on her underwear and entered her bedroom in just her white underwear and socks, as Bella left before they got up, her Dad was at work and Jasper was downstairs with Jace. Humming to herself Valerie put on 'Crazy Love' by Jason Manns, as she looked through her wardrobe for something to wear. Finally she decided on a pink cami crop top, light blue ripped jeans, a white cardigan and white trainers. She put on some light makeup and left her hair down in its natural curls but twisted the sides back and pinned it with some hair grips. Turning off the music she put her phone, purse, door keys and car keys in the already packed changing bag and headed down stairs for a quick breakfast. As she entered the kitchen she couldn't help but laugh at the faces Jasper was pulling at Jace.

She really did get lucky in the mate department. She missed Jason a lot, but she knew he'd be happy she and Jace were both happy. Kissing them both as she turned on the kettle, and headed for the fridge. Grabbing the tub of prepared fruit and mango and passion fruit yoghurt she'd made last night; Valerie leaned against the counter eating her breakfast while she waited for the kettle, smiling in between bites as she watched her mate and son play.
She had just finished her honey tea when she heard a horn from outside.
"You get the lil wolf in his car seat and I'll wash up." Jasper said, already filling the sink with hot water and washing up liquid.
"Thank you." Valerie said gratefully, grabbing the bag and placing it over her shoulder, she kissed Jasper's cheek and picked up her son. "Shall we go see your Aunties?" Valerie asked Jace, who babbled excitedly in her arms.

The moment Valerie stepped outside she was swarmed by Cara, Leah, Kim, Angela and Rachel.
"Cara!" Valerie exclaimed, carefully pulling her friend into a hug. "I've missed you! How's your Grandma? What did you and your Mum do? Rach! I've missed you too, how's college? And how're things between you and Paul? What about you, Kim? How's the Boutique and things with Jared?" Valerie asked excitedly, rapidly firing off questions to her friends making them laugh as they all carefully hugged her.
"Calm down Val." Leah laughed, taking Jace into her arms, bouncing him on her hip.
"Grandma is fine thank you, she was happy to see Mum and I. But had a go at Embry for not completing his work so he couldn't come see her." Cara laughed. "Mum and I spent some time on the beach just having mother daughter time really."

"College is great, can't believe I've finished my first year there already though. And things with Paul are great too, he's less of a hothead now." Rachel laughed.
"Yeah, that's because you and Val put him in his place." Kim laughed.
"Someone's got to." Valerie said nonchalantly, shrugging her shoulders causing the girls to laugh.
"Things are going great with Jared. We actually went on our third date yesterday, and the Boutique is going really well. We can go shop there if you want? There's some new clothes that have come in that will suit you perfectly, Val and some baby clothes that will make Jace look even cuter than he already is." Kim exclaimed, pretending to eat his foot making Jace laugh.
"What Boutique is it?" Angela asked curiously, she had been nervous at first but she got along really well with Jake's sister, Rachel and the other girls were great too.

"'Sunshine Boutique'. It's a shop she set up with her Mum." Leah explained, as Kim was busy pretending to eat Jace.
"Mama. Mama. Mama." Jace cried in between his laughter, reaching for Valerie just as Jasper exited the house.
"Don't worry baby, Mama will rescue you from Auntie Kim." Val laughed, scooping her son out of Leah's and Kim's clutches. Jasper laughed, kissing Valerie on the head causing her to smile up at him. He was so happy to see her relaxed and happy around her friends instead of just around him. Bella is causing her so much stress and he hates it.
"Here darlin." Jasper said, pulling $100 out of his wallet and giving it to Valerie. "I want you to treat yourself and Jace from me. You've been so stressed because of Bella lately, it's so good to see you happy and smile around someone other than me. And you deserve it, you're an amazing mother." Jasper said passionately, speaking over her protests.

"Jazz, thank you but I can't this is your money," Valerie said shocked.
"And I want to treat you, by you treating yourself, and our son. I love you so much, you deserve this, darlin." Jasper argued gently. Tears in her eyes slightly she slipped the money into her front jean pocket and kissed him lovingly.
"Thank you." Valerie whispered, against his lips.
"You don't have to thank me." Jasper refuted, tucking some hair behind her ear and kissing her once more.

"Have fun with your friends. And you, my lil man, be good for your Mama and Aunties." Jasper said firmly, before kissing Jace's head. "I love you my baby boy and I love you, darlin. Before I forget, some teething gel and teething ring fresh out of the freezer." Jasper said, handing the ring to Jace who stuck it straight in his mouth, sighing happily as he chewed while Jasper put the gel in the changing bag.
"Thank you, what would I do without you? I love you too." Valerie said happily. Her friends watched on with a happy smile. The future wolves and imprintees had been worried as Jasper was their natural enemy, but seeing him like this they knew without a doubt: how much Jasper loved Valerie and Jace. It was like they hung the stars and the moon for him and it eased their minds.

They bid goodbye to Jasper as Emmett and Iris arrived in Emmett's jeep. The twins came and hugged Valerie and Jace, greeted everyone else before taking off again.
"Let's get this girls day started." Valerie said excitedly. "Who's coming with me? I can take three with Jace and I."
In the end it was decided that Cara, Leah and Angela went in the impala with Valerie and Jace while Kim and Rachel took Kim's car. The first stop in Seattle was the nail salon where they all got their nails done. Leah and Angela got matching nails in a beautiful matte grey coffin style. Rachel and Kim got their nails done in a Yin and Yang style; and Valerie and Cara got theirs done in a beautiful pink colour with a glittery rose gold coffin style.

As soon as Valerie and Cara were done they couldn't help but take a picture of all of them together and in their separate colours. They were excited; it was their first time being back together in who knows how long and it was the first time that Angela and Valerie got to properly hang out without Jessica and Bella harping on. Afterwards they went to a Play Cafe where they had a small play area for children under five and they could get Jace and themselves something to eat. Jace loved playing in the small ball pit with his mother and numerous aunties. While his Mum smiled and waved at him from the table every time he looked up, it gave Valerie a bit of a break to know he was with someone who would love and care for Jace as much as she did. At home she doesn't get that unless her Dad and Jasper were there as Bella couldn't be trusted with Jace so she never got much of a break.

"Are you okay, Val? You're rather quiet." Angela asked, concerned, as she took a sip of her cappuccino.
"I'm good. You have no idea how nice it is to sit here and relax and drink a hot cup of honey tea without worrying about Jace." Valerie sighed in relief, smiling as her baby laughed at Aunties Cara and Leah.
"I still can't get over Bella acting like that." Angela said, shaking her head.
"She used to be all bratty as a child too. Wouldn't play in the mud with Jake and Val, and wouldn't play with dolls with Becca, Val and I." Rachel said, rolling her eyes.
"Whether it was because I played with both Jake and you I dunno, but she's always been like that. But she's got worse since she started dating Edward. Jasper said; even Edward has gotten worse, they are so toxic together." Val said, shaking her head, smiling and waving when Jace looked for her again.

"So," Angela said, with a mischievous smirk on her face. "Are there any little siblings on the cards for Jace?"
"Maybe." Valerie said, with a secretive smile that made her friends groan at the lack of details. "Jasper hinted at wanting to get married the other day." She revealed.
"WHAT!!" The three girls at the table exclaimed excitedly, causing a few heads to turn their way. All three of them started to talk over each other in their excitement, making Valerie laugh.
"You better make us bridesmaids." Leah called, from where she stood holding Jace and sliding him down the slide making him laugh. He was so active, crawling all over the place, trying to climb everything and be everywhere at once, that they didn't know how Val did it. She must be exhausted, but they felt pride for their friend, and wanted to help her more if they could. Even if it was just babysitting Jace for the day while she had some sleep or went on a date with Jasper.

"Of course. Who else would I have?" Valerie teased. They spent two hours in the Play Cafe which had successfully worn Jace out as he was now fast asleep in his buggy as they headed for 'Sunshine Boutique' for some shopping.
"Someone's going to sleep well tonight." Valerie said happily, as she picked up the cutest outfit for Jace and the outfit Kim had recommended for her. It was gorgeous and she loved it.
"I think we're all gonna sleep well." Cara mumbled, making them laugh. It was true Jace had worn them out. They spent a few hours shopping before they stopped at the Italian restaurant in Port Angeles for some dinner. They'd all had an amazing time, it was great just having a girls day out away from everything.

The next day Valerie was still tired from the day before and Jace waking up on and off teething didn't help. But half way through the night Jasper saw to him when he came back from hunting, so she did get a few hours of good sleep. Today Valerie dressed Jace in the outfit she brought him the day before. It was a navy long sleeved shirt that said in red cursive letters, 'Daddy's little prince' with matching dark blue baby jeans, and cute little navy pumps. Valerie was also wearing what she brought the day before. She had on high-waisted black shorts, a green bra-let, a black waterfall cardigan, a black hat, and black and gold ankle boots. She left her hair down with only mascara and lipgloss on today. Kim was right Jasper loved both their outfits and couldn't stop kissing them both making them laugh and late to meet Emily outside.

"Sorry Em, someone was handsy today." Valerie teased, with a pointed look at Jasper who came out with Jace who had a fresh teething ring in his mouth.
"That's alright." Emily laughed. "Oh, is he teething?" She moaned sympathetically. "My mother told me a trick or two that should help. We can get the stuff in Seattle."
"That would be great thanks, Em." Valerie said, hugging her friend gratefully.
"You're welcome Val. Nice outfit by the way." Emily complimented.
"Thanks I got it at Kim's Boutique yesterday. I love your outfit it suits you." Valerie complimented, looking over Emily's striped T-shirt, blue ripped jeans, white trainers and her hair in a bun with a few strands framing her face. Simple but perfect.

"Thanks. See you later Jasper. I'll take good care of them." Emily promised.
"I know. Be good for your Mama and Auntie Emily, my lil wolf. I love you. I love you darlin, have fun with Emily." Jasper said, kissing Jace lovingly on the forehead and kissing Valerie lovingly and tenderly on the lips.
"I love you too Jazz. Have fun playing video games with Emmett and Iris." Valerie said, kissing him back before stepping aside and letting him strap Jace in. Once Jasper was sure Jace was safe and secure in his car seat he pressed a tender kiss to his head and shut the door.
"I'll see you later." Jasper said, opening Valerie's door for her and giving her a quick kiss. "Bye Emily." Jasper said, offering her a small wave before taking off into Forest for the Cullen house.
"I have an idea on where we can go." Emily said with a devilish smirk, as Valerie started the engine.

Emily's idea turned out to spend the rest of the money Jasper gave her in Victoria Secret, buying sexy underwear and lingerie. Valerie couldn't help a small blush make its way to her cheeks as they both went to the check out with baskets full of lingerie and underwear sets.
"He's so handsome, his Daddy won't know what hit him. Perhaps he'll end up as a big brother." The woman behind the counter said, winking at Valerie, causing her blush to increase.
"Sorry my sister is a bit shy." Emily apologised, at the next till paying for her own basket full.
"Don't worry honey, he is going to love it. The trick is to act like you're wearing normal pyjamas and be yourself. I apologise if I came on too much." The woman, Stacey, apologised.

"No it's okay and thank you for the tips." Valerie said, handing over the money.
"You're welcome honey." Stacey said softly. "And your fiancé is going to love it," she says to Emily, noticing the ring.
"Thank you." Emily said, a wide grin on her face. Leading Val out of the shop laughing a little. Valerie was just thankful Jace was asleep the whole time they were in there. The next shop they went to was the nail salon where Emily got her nails done in a pink, white and a light grey marble style and it looked gorgeous. As Jace was a little cranky today they decided against the Play Cafe and went around the shops instead. Picking up or ordering things for Emily's wedding including her wedding dress and Valerie's bridesmaid dress, as her wedding was coming up soon.

After the bridal shop Valerie couldn't stop thinking about Jasper's hint and what they'd brought in Victoria Secret and couldn't help but wonder when to use them. She knew Alice would've seen them in that shop, proven by a sudden text Valerie got as they were eating a late lunch, Jace had finally woken up.
Alice: don't worry I know the perfect time ;) and Jasper won't know what hit him. Trust me you'll look amazing xx

Feeling slightly more reassured, Valerie enjoyed the rest of her day out with Emily and started planning how she could get Emily and Leah to talk and work things out. She knew if they didn't work things out before Leah changed it would only spell trouble. Not just for Leah, Emily and Sam, but for the whole pack and the pack dynamic. They all had to trust each other in wolf form and while fighting vampires and if there was tension it would affect them all and could possibly lead to someone being seriously hurt or worse. But she knew she had to tread carefully as she didn't want to make things worse. This was gonna take a lot of thought.
