Chapter 1: Kōchi
A young woman ran across the office hallway with many papers stacked in her hands. Some of the papers began to fly out of her clutches and she tried to catch them, almost tripping in the process. She frantically looked around, searching for the person to give the papers to. After some search, the woman finally found the person she was looking for: an older woman with short purple hair, golden eyes, and blue earrings. She was Mina Semington, the assistant of the director of New Domino City and Sector Security, which was Rex Goodwin. The woman sighed in relief and walked up to Mina.
"I-I have the papers that you've s-sent me for," the woman said to Mina, holding out the papers to her.
"Oh, thank you, Kōchi," Mina said with a small smile. She grabbed the papers from Kōchi.
"I-Is there anything else you would l-like for me to do?" Kōchi asked softly.
"Not now. You can head back to the office room."
"Y-Yes, ma'am." Kōchi then went off, keeping her head low. As she left, a smaller in size fellow walked over to Mina.
"I can't believe she's still here," the man scoffed.
"What do you mean?" Mina asked with crossed arms. "Kōchi is doing just fine despite her clumsiness, Lazar."
"But look at her!" Lazar exclaimed. "She keeps her head low just to make sure she doesn't talk to anyone. She won't stop stuttering either. Ugh, it's so irritating!"
"Well, at least she gets the job done!"
Lazar just scowled and went off, leaving Mina to only watch. She sighed softly and turned to where Kōchi went. Mina gasped because she saw Kōchi still there, hearing the whole conversation. "I'm sorry that you heard that," Mina said, approaching Kōchi.
"I-It's fine," Kōchi said as she lifted her head to meet Mina's eyes, showing her orange tinted eyes. "I-I don't mind."
"Are you sure? I wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable with working here because of what my associate said."
"I-I'll be fine." Kōchi gave a small smile to Mina so that the latter wouldn't have to worry.
"Well, all right then," Mina said. "Let's get back to work. Master Atlas has an upcoming duel and we need to prepare for it."
"Y-Yes, ma'am," Kōchi replied with a nod. The two walked off to prepare for the upcoming duel.

I unlocked my apartment's front door and took my high heel shoes, which were giving me a pain. After closing the front door, I took off my office jacket and collapsed on the couch. I let out a groan. This was harder than I thought. "Why did I agree to do this?" I said to myself. "It was supposed to be quick...I've been here for three weeks!" I let out a longer groan and turned to the small table I had. There was a small ball that was the size of a baseball on the table, its color in distinct red and white. I grabbed the red and white ball and pressed a button that made the ball bigger than my fist. I sighed and threw the ball into the air. The ball opened midair with a red flash beaming out of the ball. The red flash configured into a four-legged figure until the figure grew more detail.
The little figure had oval, yellow eyes with blue and black fur. His front legs were blue with a yellow stripe and his back legs had black fur. His black tail with a yellow, star-shaped tip was high up in alert because he didn't know where he was. The ball came back to me and I said, "Lucky, I'm right here." Lucky turned to me and immediately looked angry, his tail glowing yellow and electricity was forming. My eyes widened because I forgot that he didn't recognize me. I quickly took off my glasses and sat up straight to let Lucky see me. "It's me, Lucky, it's me!" I exclaimed. Lucky's tail stopped gathering electricity and he looked at me curiously. I laughed and gave him a silly smile. Lucky then relaxed completely and jumped onto my lap.
"Shinx!" Lucky cried happily. He rubbed his head on my stomach in affection.
"Glad to see you too, buddy!" I grinned. "Sorry that I kept you in your pokéball for so long. I had to know if this place was safe for us to be at."
"Shinx?"
"Yeah, safe! Do you see what I'm wearing?" I pointed out my office clothes. "I'm working for a woman, who's been very sweet to me, that has a jerk associate and their superior is basically in charge of the city and the police force! That's nowhere near the work I'm supposed to be doing for my people." I collapsed again on the couch and groaned. "How am I supposed to find this Crimson Dragon thing? This city is way too big to search for something like that?" I felt something on my stomach and tilted my head up to find Lucky biting on a magazine with people on motorcycles on the front cover. "Oh, that's a new style of playing Duel Monsters," I explained, taking the magazine from Lucky. "It's called Turbo Dueling, and it's super cool!! If I wasn't undercover, I'd totally try it." I flipped through the magazine and found a familiar face with blonde hair, wearing a white and blue outfit. I sat up again and let my little friend take a look at the picture.
"Shinx?" Lucky said, tilting his head curiously at the picture.
"That, my little buddy, is Jack Atlas," I said. "He's the Turbo King of New Domino City. It turns out that Mina, the person that I'm working for, is his manager. Interesting, huh?" Lucky looked at the picture and then at me. He did this a few times before smiling at me.
"Shinx!"
"What?! Nonono, him and I are not a thing! I'm not here to get into a romance. I'm here for business. Besides, he's way over his head about his "kingly" title. He's not my type of guy." With that being said, I threw the magazine on the table. "I don't need romance right now. All I need is to complete my mission and get home."
"Shinx?"
"Yes, I need you too. How could I forget my little partner in crime?" I grabbed Lucky and held him close. He in turn nuzzled my arm, smiling. I sighed softly. "I hope that this doesn't take too long."
That's the end of the chapter!! To be honest, putting Lucky (Shinx) into this story is the reason why the title includes Pokémon in it. I just thought it would be more interesting!
So what do you think?
