Chapter 57: Akia Hotel, No More!
No POV
The four guardians could barely see a thing, but Simon had a clear view. Soon enough, they would be able to see the damage that the mysterious lady had brought to the town.
Simon, was barely damaged, and Astrid only had a few bumps and bruises. But, the rest of the guardians weren't so lucky...
As soon as they were able to see the bad situation that they were in, they knew that this meant bad news.
The place that was once known as the Akia Hotel, had completely been crushed into pieces. The bright orange and red carpet had turned ash grey. The windows were shattered into thousands of little glass shards. The couch looked like it had been through a battlefield.
"What the..." Astrid said to nobody in particular, as he looked around for the lady. His body still full of shock, he knew what he would have to do.
"Ells?! Anybody?! If you are conscious, say I!" Simon yelled, desperate for answers. He had never felt this before. What was he feeling?
"I!" Astrid yelled. That's when he noticed Hunter. His leg had started to swell up, turning into many colors that weren't normal.
"I..." Hunter muttered, his leg loosing more and more blood by the minute.
"I!" Violet and Dimitry shouted at the same time. Violet's right arm seemed not to move, but she never complained, as she helped Dimitry up to his feet, his one eye black and bruised.
Simon looked at the injuries he had to deal with, as his mind began to calculate for answers.
"Ok, I know what to do." Simon mumbled to himself, as he got some potions out of his belt.
His first priority was Hunter. He was in the most trouble and risk of dying.
"Hunter, drink this, and give your body a rest. This should stop the swelling, and decrease any amounts of pain that you're experiencing. Astrid, can yo-"
"Oh my gosh! Ells!" He said, as he looked around the place frantically. Violet tapped his shoulder with her good hand, and pointed to the other side of the destroyed room.
Ells had blacked out, a huge knot on the side of her forehead. Bruises were all over her body. All Astrid could do was stare, a mixture of shock and pity in his eyes.
"She got the most impact out of all of us. She'll be the longest to heal. But, anyways, can you look around and see if you can find anything remotely useful?" Simon asked, aggravating Astrid deeply.
Astrid wanted to tell Simon how sick he was of him acting like the boss all the time. But, his care for Ells pushed him back.
"Whatever you say." Astrid said, walking out of the broken hotel to search for something, or to just take a walk away from Simon and gather his thoughts.
A/N: I am so so sorry that my updates haven't been as often as they used too! With all of this complicated mess in my life (school, drama, art, etc.), I've not been able to focus on this book as much as I would like too! But, I am trying my best to get all of these things resolved as quickly as possible! Please hang in there!
