Ells' POV
I woke up slowly, staring right into Astrid's eyes.

The storage room was dark and gloomy, but his face was full of light and hope. It washed away any of the fears I had, even if it was only for a tiny bit of time. It was so worth passing out to look at.

My cheeks flush bright red, as I looked into his bea- his eyes. Just his eyes.

"S-So, your the last guardian, Astrid..." I said, trying my best to speak to him with the recovery of passing out.

Then, the next thing he did made me practically explode inside.

He kissed me.

It wasn't one of those long, drown out kisses. But, it wasn't really short either.

My face lit up brighter than the bright red, as a million thoughts raced through my mind. Does he like me? Like, like like me?

"A-Astrid, I-" I stuttered, but he cut me off.

"Ells, you've gotta hear me out. I've liked you... well, I've liked you since the day I first laid eyes on you. You've changed my life, Ells, and showed me more then anybody else would in this world. More then my sister, and all of Sector 13. You may not like me back, but I'm sure wowed I met you, Ells Ender."

Time just seemed to stand still, and only focus on me and him. Me and Astrid. My heart couldn't stop beating loudly through my chest. My face couldn't stop blushing, no matter what I tried. I continued to look into his fantastic eyes, smiling.

"I-I... feel the same way, A-Astrid..."

This is the happiest day of my life. Nothing could ruin this moment.

"Yes! I knew it! I win the bet!" Hunter said, smiling brightly, as my lovey dovetail magical heart moment went to a stand still.

"What bet?" Astrid asked them, blushing, though I think I have a general idea on what they were talking about, but I kept my mouth shut.

"Well, me and Violet made a bet that you guys would eventually become a couple. I thought it would happen, but V-"

"Shut up. We get it. You won. Take the money." Violet said, giving Hunter 20 dollars in cash.

"Wait. When did they say that they were officially a couple?" Dimitry asked, as we all became silent. He had a point.

"Think about it. Ells likes Astrid. Astrid likes Ells. What more proof do you need?" Hunter said, as we looked down to the ground, blushing like bright tomatoes. I still can't believe this is even happening.

"Ells. Do you... wanna... give it a shot?" Astrid asked me, as I felt my heart yearning for his love.

This could be the most perfectest thing in the whole entire world! Everything would be so perfect with him! He cares, understands, and, not mention his looks! His hair, lips, especially his eyes! He would be everything I ever dreamed of, and more.

But...

"I can't."

A/N: I think I just mangled, crushed, burnt up, and destroyed every single Ellstrid fan (including myself) on this planet. So sorry!
