Astrid's POV
It's been almost an hour, and Ells still hasn't shown up yet, and I'm starting to get really worried about her.

Should I wake up the others and tell them what happened? What will they say? Will they think I'm crazy? Will they be proud of what I let her do?

Astrid. This is Ells we're talking about. Ells Ender. The one with those magical eyes that you just can't look away from, no matter how hard you try. The one with the most softest skin when your fingers accidentally touch.

I walk over to Violet, and shake her slightly, trying to wake her up. Her eyes open wide, making my body shiver all over with fear.

"Astrid? Why did you wake me up? I don't know if you know, but I actually enjoy my sleep." She said, annoyance in her voice.

"Violet, Ells and Wendy went on patrol outside. I told Ells it was a bad idea, but they didn't listen. They haven't come back yet." I said, worryingly.

"You did WHAT?! Astrid, how could you?!" Violet said, banging her fist against the wall.

"What?! Is Ells ok?! What happened to her?!" I said, worried. I knew sending her off was a bad idea! I am so stupid!

"No! Astrid, you won't understand! Ells is more important to this then any of us combined!" She said, just about yelling in my face.

"I'm just worried, Vi! Don't you understand?! I love her!" I said back at her. My face instantly brightened, as I covered my mouth.

We just stared at eachother angrily.

"Astrid, just..." Violet started, but instead let out a long sigh. She woke up the other two and told then what had happened and where Ells had gone.

As they got ready to go, I did the same. You surely messed up this time, Astrid...

"Astrid. Can you, just, stay here? I don't know what else will happen over there..." Violet asked, giving me a look like we'll discuss this later. But, I didn't care.

"What?! No! I care about Ells very deeply, and I am not going to stay here and wait until I know that Ells is safe and with me! Anyways, I can do something! I'm not s-" I said, upsettingly, but Violet cut me off.

"Astrid, please."

I sighed, knowing that I messed up big time, and that I had lost this battle. They ran out of the room, leaving me in the room to think.

This would always happen! Especially with Crystal... She would always leave me and not let me do anything with her, no matter what it was!

I can't believe this... I failed Ells... my beautiful Ells... The one who never stopped hoping for the right thing to eventually come to her, no matter how long it would take.

Then, it hit me.

If I wanna save the one I care about so deeply, then I just do it. No matter what anybody says about it.
