Chapter 30: Walking in a Winter Wonderland
Ells' POV
I've done a lot of studying on magic as a kid, and I know that frost is either used for blinding someone, or from stress. Either result could end badly.
"Violet's in trouble! We have to get her out of there." I said, as Astrid and Hunter nodded.
"I'm going to transform. If anything, it would help with whatever is beyond that door." Hunter said, instantly sending alarms up and down my body.
"But, you can't! People will know! It's too dangerous!" I said, worried about what Mrs. Kuro said about not telling people about this.
Ghost Violet told me that Mrs. Kuro was not what I thought she was. But, I don't have any prof telling me otherwise.
"Ells, don't be such a worry wart! I just got this. Anyways, you're starting to sound like Violet..." He said, as he stepped back, and muttered something, which was too quiet for me to hear.
Then, he transformed. His outfit looked almost like Pit's from Kid Icarus, but his outfit was black. His belt a light blue.
This outfit was new, but probably because he gained control of his new ability.
A/N: I will add a picture here soon on what I mean by Pit and Kid Icarus.
He went to open the door, but he sort of pulled it off it's hinges instead.
"Whoops..." He muttered, as he tried to place the door back. It seemed that, along with gaining ultra cool Water Magic abilities, he is super strong.
When the three of us finally got to walk inside, my eyes grew huge. It didn't even look like Mrs. Kuro's office anymore!
It looked like a forest. a snowy wonderland of a forest, that is! The snow was pure white, shimmering off of the surprisingly warm sunlight that was shinning through the trees.
"This is... beautiful..." I muttered, looking at the beautiful scene before me.
"Hey! Guys! Help! I found him! Come quick!" I heard, as I saw Violet screaming to us from a distance.
So me, Astrid, and Hunter ran as fast as we could in the knee-deep snow. I fell down once or twice, but managed to stand and scurry up with the others.
When we caught up to her, we saw what she meant.
Up in the sky, there was, literally, a chunk of the ground floating in the air. Like a mini floating island.
Dimitry was up there on the very top.
Violet and Hunter exchanged glances at eachother. That was all they needed.
Violet muttered something, also too quiet to hear. And then, she transformed.
She looks similar to Hunter, but not the same. Her outfit was grey, her belt a shimmering white color. Her black hair into a high ponytail braid.
And then, in sync, they flew up to the island in the sky.
They seem so important now. It was like they were completely different people when they transformed. Like superheroes...
"Good luck guys." I muttered.
"You'll need it."
