Ells' POV
It is strange. It is as if none of the kids remember Mrs. Kuro bursting through the doors. None of the teachers seem to remember anything that happened today either.

Right before I got to the classroom, I noticed a guy with green and red eyes with ice white hair staring at me. I stopped and looked back at him again only to see that he had disappeared.

Strange. The guy was gone. As if he never appeared in the first place. I walked into the science class and opened up my science book.

~*2 Days Later*~

I open my eyes to the alarm clock ringing off like crazy! I creep my hand towards the alarm clock and slam it shut with my hand. Meh. My body aches from sleepiness, as I get out of bed and slowly walk to the mirror. My long brown hair was an absolute mess!

So, today is the day. The day I travel to the Iron Lantern to begin my Queste. I turn on the shower, wash up, and get ready for the day.

You are the Keye. That's what Mrs. Kuro said. But, what does it mean? And, what did she meant by Keye?

I brush my hair out and dress into my magic robes.

No, it is not a bathrobe. It is a magic robe.

Magic robes are kind of like wizard robes, except without that stupid pointy hat. We do wear it over our normal clothes, and we have a belt to wrap around our waist.

This may sound like a bathrobe, but I swear, it's not.

We have hoods as well, in case of bad weather. And, each magic robe looks different, based on personality, magic, and rank. Nobody really knows the secret for cracking the code of the robes, though.

My robe is purple, with bright white stars. I liked my robe, but I can't wear it in public. Unless I want everybody to know about my powers, which I don't.

I look in the mirror and stare into my bright purple eyes.

"I can do this." I say out loud to myself. Even though, inside, I had a pinning feeling that I am gonna die out there.

No! I can't think stupid stuff like that, or else that will really happen! I will win! I know I will!

I go downstairs and get my bookbag on.

Mom is already at work. Her work always started really early in the morning. But, she got enough pay to take care for both of us, which is good.

I open up the fridge to get a water bottle, where I find a sticky note already attached to one of them. I take it off the bottle and begin to read.

"Ells, I just want you to know that I love you very much. I know that you will do great at the games. Your father always knew there was something special about you, and now look! My little angel is in the games! The Magic Trials! I love you! Best of luck!
- Mom"

I smiled, folding the sticky note, and putting it in the pocket of my robe.

I take the water bottle out of the fridge and take one last look at my house and try to remember as much as possible about it.

"Welp! Good bye, house. Nice knowing you!" I said, as I open the door, and, with a small smile on my face, I take the first steps towards my new life.

My new magical life.
