Ells' POV
When I got into my room, I collapsed onto the bed. I was the first one to arrive into the room, so I had exactly what I needed.
A few minutes of peace and quiet.
All I could think of was everything that had happened in the past few days.
I got a letter, telling me that I had made it into the Magic Trials.
Then, I got here, and met Violet, Astrid, Wendy, Dimitry, Hunter, Mr. Coal, and Mrs. Kuro. Violet is Mrs. Kuro's daughter.
Violet and Hunter were also... Guardians. Violet was the Guardian for Air, while Hunter was the Guardian for Water.
How about Dimitry, Astrid, and I? What's gonna happen to us if we get separated from Violet and Hunter?
What if I lose one of my only friends?
"W-What am I gonna do?" I mumbled quietly to myself, thinking of all of the worst things possible.
"You don't have to do anything."
I sat up from the bed and looked around worryingly. I couldn't see anything. I'm hoping that this is all in my imagination...
"Just continue your task, as you always did, Ells..."
There is somebody here! But who?! I never heard the door move!
This might sound crazy... but I'm gonna talk to myself.
"W-Who are you?" I said, my voice shaking slightly. I got up and looked around, ready to strike at any moment.
I heard something behind me creek, and I jumped, turning around to see what it was.
But, nothing was there.
But then, something was there. Slowly, something fog-like seemed to appear in the air, it looked almost like a ghost.
So, I asked my question again. She responded with this.
"I am your friend, from the past."
Then, it all seemed to come together. Those starry eyes. That black hair. That serious, scary, yet calming voice. I could tell from anywhere who that was.
"V-Vi?"
She nodded, a smile on her face. I've never seen her smile like this before. She actually seemed... happy.
"Ells, I've come for a reason. It's vital to your mission, and mine."
Those ghostly eyes of hers were starting to make me feel a little insecure. In a bad way, but also a good way. I wasn't exactly sure what to say or do.
"Listen. Ells, you mustn't tell anybody that this happened. You've gotta promise that."
"Promise." I said, crossing my heart.
"Ok, good. They've said stuff about you, Ells. In the back of your mind, you probably know something about you was a little off... You must leave this place! Mrs. Kuro. She's not who you think she is. She won't stop until she has you in her control. Your like a feather, Ells... You can't break! Not again! I can't do this much longer..."
Then, I woke up to the sound of the bell ringing in my ears.
Was I asleep? I thought I was awake. How long have I been asleep? And, what the heck? How did that even happen? Was my dream telling the truth?
So many questions rattle in my mind, as I hear my friends enter through the door.
A/N: Another chapter! Yay! I'm so glad I finished! I've had the worst of sinus pressure, and it got worse when I woke up in the morning...
Also, for us Americans, happy Election Day! Time to see which idiot wins this year. Queen Clinton of emails or King Trump of walls. *sarcastic* I'm soooo excited...
Anyways! Hope you enjoy!
