Chapter 23: It's a Battle, It's a War
Astrid's POV
"Oh my gosh! I can't take it! Astrid, you are crushing so hard on Ells!" He said, causing my face to instantly light up like a Christmas tree.
"I... uhh..." I stuttered, trying my best to think of a comeback, with no luck.
"Don't deny it, Astrid. You're always thinking about her, and talking to her, and gazing into her eyes. You love her, Astrid. It's love, I say!" He said loudly, as butterflies flew like crazy in my stomach.
Even just thinking about her makes me smile.
"She's never like me, Dimitry. She's just so, perfect... her face, her personality, her smile. This is love, right?" I asked him, as he smiled and nodded.
"Astrid, before the games, you are going to ask Ells out, and you are going to be happy." He said, determination in his voice.
"I can't do that, Dimitry. She deserves better than me." I said, my feelings going all out of wack.
"Well, if you don't, I'll do it for you!"
"What?! No!"
Then, at the door slams open.
It was Ells. She looked as worried as ever.
"guys, we need to go to Mr. Coal, now." She said, her eyes full of concern.
"Let's go." I said, me cheeks during, as me, Dimitry, and Ells run out of the room, shutting the door behind us.
"Remember! You've got until the games, Astrid!" Dimitry said, as we were running.
"Got what until the games?" Ells asks, causing my face to explode.
"Oh, nothing. He knows what I mean." Dimitry says, smiling, as we got to Mr. Coal's door.
Hunter's POV
They walk into the door, my stomach churning in all kinds of wonky directions. Mrs. Kuro helped me transform back to normal. Well, except for my hair. That's permanent now.
"Hello again." Violet says, back into her emotionless self.
"Sit down, guys. This is gonna be a long story." Mrs. Kuro says, as he three of them sit down criss-cross on the floor.
I don't want to tell them. What if they don't want to be my friend anymore? What if this changes everything?
"So, what is it that you wanted to tell us?" Ells asked us.
I think she knew that this was bad. I clearly knew.
"I'll tell it." Violet said. I was really worried on their responses, but didn't say a word.
"The world is going to end. This year, it's not a trial. It's a battle. It's a war. My mother has been searching for the Four Guardians of Magic, and now, two have been found. Hunter is one of them. He's going to face the battle of the End of the World." She said, as my stomach felt like puking.
A/N: Hey guys! Guess what? So, all of those flashcards I wrote this story on, yeah. I got them all glued down into a notebook now, so I can update the story again on a daily basis! Sorry for the 3 day delay! But I'm back and ready to update for you guys!
Also, I decided to do a plot twist here. Hopefully it's ok and not getting to much off the main topic here!
