"Kelsia."

"Coming, Father." Kelsia rushed down the stairs to meet her parents who were waiting at the bottom of the stairs.

Everything was perfect. Thought Kelsia. With Sancha getting married on new year eve,Lisa coming over for new year and he perfect family,Kelsia was filled with bubbly happiness.

After all that happened two years ago,Kelsia already knew what she wanted to be in the future.

A detective.

Her father and new mother supported her all the way. Like she said earlier,everything was perfect.

"Are we going somewhere?" Kelsia's gaze darted to her mother in question.

Kate shrugged. "Ask your father that. He dragged me away from the kitchen claiming he had a surprise for us."

After they got married,Kate decided that she want to keep the new name and that Allegra Dante was dead to her anyway. Katherine Donovan was a new person and that the way she wanted it. The house was donated to the orphanage, the company was sold out and the cars also went to the orphanage.

Even though reporters were always taking their pictures anytime they went out,Kate was content with her new life.

"I did say that. Come with me."

Fredo lead them to the basement. Kate and Kelsia gasped at the sight that greeted them.

It looked like winter wonderland. Fake snow was everywhere in the basement. A very large Christmas tree that seemed to Have thousands of lights hanging from it, stood in one corner of the room. The gifts under it was so much that Kate was sure that they would never unwrap it all this year. A snow man sat in the middles of the room, on the chest was a large card. Kate's eyes flooded when she saw the words written on it.

"For many birthdays and Christmases you missed. Merry Christmas to the most beautiful women in my life and my unborn son."

Kate's hand went to her protruding belly. On cue,the baby gave her a sharp kick,making her wince. Fredo was beside her in an instant.

"What is it? Is the baby hurting? Do you need something?"

Kelsia rolled her eyes at her father's over dramatic performance. "I want to make a quick call,mom. Would be right back."

Kate nodded her consent. Kelsia dashed out of the basement with a squeal. Once their daughter was out of sight, Kate threw her arms around Fredo and kissed him long and hard. When they parted for breath, Kate rested her head on his chest.

"Thank you, Fredo. For everything."

"I love you." Fredo kissed her head.

" Ti amo."
