3 - The Gems are Found... sorta
About two days later, Kelsey was sitting at lunch, listening to her friend, Jennifer drone on about the pranks her sister played last night. Kelsey was only half-listening and mainly thinking about her difficult algebra. Her ears perked up when Jennifer started talking about a peculiar red diamond ring her granny had found and was going to offer it to anyone who wanted it.
"Really?" Kelsey said, brimming with curiousity.
"Yeah, she was, but then she lost it in the store Claire's at the mall."
"Aw, man," Kelsey said, trying to hide her disapointment. "That must be horrible, right?"
"Yeah for me it was, but my gran's not worried. She was anyways going to give it away, so it's like finders keepers."
Right then, the bell rang, and the two girls ran off to their next class.
That evening, Kelsey and her mom went to Claire's at the mall. She asked the cashier to check out their lost and found. He gladly showed a wicker basket filled with old scarves, hats, sunglasses, and othere miscellaneous items. She sifted through the basket till she found a rather peculiar gem with a weird haphazard shape, but a beautiful shade of deep red outlined with white diamonds. "I've found it!" Kelsey said a little too loudly, pumping her fist in the air. Customers from all over the store stared at Kelsey. "Sorry!" she muttered, slowly raising her outstretched arm. Everyone went back to their shopping. At that time, the jewel shrunk and fitted itself into the locket. One down, two to go!
Kelsey found the next one, Non-Fictisima, in her P.E. gym locker. It was the opposite of Fictisima, a proper blue topaz. It also shrunk and fitted itself into the locket. But the hardest one was the Magadilli. It was mid-March time which meant the Easter Egg Hunt at the public library. Kelsey and her older sister Karmin were excited because at the library if you want to, you can trade in your eggs for a book, and that was what Kelsey and Karmin always did.
Finally, the day of the Easter egg hunt came. The kids and teens started trickling in and soon, the hunt started. Sometimes, there were five-dollar bills in them, or maybe a bookmark, or something useful for school. Near the halfway point, a 7th grader girl from Kelsey's class, Gretchen, screeched, "Oh my gosh, I found a hazel stone and its all mine!" Everyone turned to look at Gretchen. The moment Kelsey saw the stone she knew it. That was the Magadilli, and it was in the hands of the biggest diva in the whole 7th grade.
"Knock, knock"
