Escape
Chapter One: Escape
Heisa sighed as her band members and her walked to their homes, her band members talked to each other as Hesia was silent. They were all childhood friends who loved music.
Hesia was the lead singer of the group. They all performed at a pizza place as work and they got payed for their performances which was lucky to them. It was her and three of her friends, Kate who was her lead guitarist, Kate's twin brother Robert who was their basset and David a perv of a childhood best friend to Hesia who was their drummer.
Since to her, no one really liked who she was. She kept it a secret even from her band mates that she still loved her childhood show though. Toa Tahu has been her favorite out of the show since she first watched it and has been to this day. She has grown from her puppy crush on him into an actual crush.
"Hey Hesia." Kate asked getting the said girl out of her thoughts as she looked at her. "Wanna get some dinner with us? So you could bring home some food for your uncle too?" Kate asked her.
"If it keeps me from having to cook ramen or order pizza, then sure." Hesia said making the three laugh. "Let's head then." Robert said, "Where to?" Hesia asked. "Zaxby's. I'll pay for your food." David said. Heisa rolled her eyes. "Yea thanks, I still need my money to pay for Netflix and other Bills." Heisa said, David laughed at that. Heisa saw David as a brother, never as a love interest. They known each other since they were ten. Yet Heisa didn't have any interest on dating him.
They made it to Zaxby's after about ten minutes of waking and they ordered their food and their drinks. Talking to each other as they ate with occasional laughter emitting from the group of teens.

Hesia made it back home by herself and walked inside her house. Kicking the dirt off the bottom of her shoes with the rug as she heard snoring coming from the living room. She sighed as she shook her head as she walked into the living room to find her Uncle Sam, passed out on the couch with a half full bottle of Vodka in hand that was nearly close to falling from his hand as he slept.
She sighed as she shook her head and placed his food on the coffee table in front of him, she grabbed the bottle of vodka placing it next to food and then grabbed a blanket that was on the arm chair, unfolding it and covered her uncle with it.
She kissed his cheek, "Night Uncle Sam." She said as she took the bottle of vodka with her to the kitchen. She grabbed a mug and poured some Vodka into it and took some small sips from it.
She sighed as her thoughts began to wonder as she stared at the contents of alcohol in the mug, fiddling with her necklaces and ring on her finger. She wondered if she was ever gonna success in life if she had to take care of her uncle almost 247. It would be more so of taking care of him once she gets out of high school. Not really wanting to suffer from collage. Especially since she had enough when it came to high school.
She wasn't just gonna drop out of high school. She knew better than that, even though she drank alcohol under the legal age limit. She sighed as she shook her head as she walked to the sink and poured out the remaining Vodka in her mug, filling the mug with water and walked upstairs after putting the bottle of Vodka away. She had an idea she had thoughts on doing for years.
She made it to her bedroom and grabbed a small backpack, stuffing it with her music player that ran on batteries, many unpacked and unused earbuds, she grabbed her inhaler for her asthma, and a pocket knife which she slipped into her drink holder of her backpack along with her phone.
She sighed as she slipped her backpack on her back. She walked out of her bedroom and walked back downstairs, leaving an old note she had long written down for her uncle at the kitchen island.
She made it to the front door and looked behind her of her childhood home. She couldn't remember any happy memories of her parents. Just the day of their death from a fiery car crash that took their lives as they were arriving from the hospital with Hesia's new and now late baby bother Oscar.
She sighed as she shook her head as she opened the door and walked out of her house and closed the door behind her and began walking into the town. The late fall snow falling, as cars drove passed her, ignoring the teen girl as she walked. Heisa didn't even mind it. She was on her own now. She didn't need help with her life now.

After about an hour of walking in town. Heisa walked passed an alleyway, only to see a fire like glow in the depths of it, curiosity got the the best of her and she walked into the alleyway.
"I know it's cold but who in their right mind, would start a-".Heisa cut herself, not seeing a fire, but instead a Lava like crystal, glowing at the center of the path of the alleyway. "Fire." Heisa finished, rather shocked to see a crystal like this in a city, especially one left alone.
"Huh, maybe I can sell this to get some good money of where to start." Heisa said to herself as she grabbed the crystal in her hand. Only for darkness to flood her vision.
