Dark flames held her tight. She held back a scream as her life was slowly dragged out of her soul. Her body now a hollow shell, as the life bled out of the weak body she once held. Her heart was changed, not in a way physically, but mentally, as dark, sinister evil spread through her body. Her eyes lost its glow, who were now black as night. Her glowing blue hair now slowly turning into black. Every part of her was changing--- not only her body, but also her mind, which was occupied with negative thoughts, her memories rearranged into a violent story. "Don't! Don't! Don't..." The word echoed in her mind before she knew what was going on, and a loud beeping sound grew closer and closer...

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Millicent woke up with a gasp, feeling her body, which was rigid with cold sweat that trickled down her forehead. Her clothes now damp with her own sweat. She  slammed down on her alarm clock, causing it to fall to the ground. now fully awakened with the living horror that still tasted on her lips, she took a deep breath and calmed down. She climbed out of bed, still shaky and went to wash up. "Just a normal day." She repeated. "Just a normal day." Then went to the living room counter, where her mother was making some delicious pancakes.

"Morning dear!" She said cheerfully, using a glowing blue fingertip to heat up the fire for pancakes. Millicent smiled, "Morning mother." and sat down on the kitchen table, when a green glow surrounded the plate that held her breakfast. "Dad!" She giggled as a strong man sat down beside her, devouring the hot cakes. The silver-blue haired lady pretended to look cross at the silver-green haired man. He chuckled and pushed the plate towards the young girl sitting beside him. "Joseph! Eat your own breakfast!" mother shouted and gave him a heaping plate of eggs, beans, toast, bacon and a fresh strawberry yogurt. Millicent quickly finished her pancakes, grabbed her backpack and ran out of the door, saying, "Bye mom! Bye dad!" 

She went out, feeling the cool breeze flowing across her soft skin. "Yo Milly!" A voice sounded beside her as she walked a bit more. "Hey!" Millicent waved back, seeing her best friend, Ophelia, who had glowing amber locks, so was her magic colour. They walked for a little while more in silence, then Millicent said, "Ya know, I'm kinda excited to finally start year 4." "Mhm." Ophelia replied, humming along a cheerful tune.

"No, you're not going to take my music player and headphones again, I'm telling you for the third time!" "So? I'm just gonna take them so I can listen to one single song, you selfish bee!" "I'm not a bee, you jaguar!" Ophelia sighed. "Welp, there comes the rest of our squad." 

"Hey Saffron, Sarah." Millicent nodded, ruffling her short blue hair as a leaf got stuck in it. The yellow haired twins nodded hello while giving each other death stares. She laughed at their silliness.

"Well, looks like we're all here!" Sarah announced, giving her twin a dirty look as Saffron called her a bee again. She had yellow and black hair in stripes, while Saffron had yellow and black hair too, but in spots. 

"Ready to head into the world of fantasy?" "Ready as I'll ever be." Millicent and Ophelia held each others' hands, took a deep breath, and walked into the magic, then disappeared into mist. The twins did the same, and soon no one saw them in the living world again.
