I slowed down, remembering what Lord Nightmare said..

"LEAVE THIS KINGDOM AT ONCE AND NEVER RETURN OR I'LL HAVE YOU ROTTING DOWN IN THE DUNGEON! IF I EVER SEE YOU AGAIN IN THESE WALLS I'LL HAVE YOUR HEAD OR FEED YOU TO HORROR! I SHOULDN'T HAVE NEVER AGREED ON HAVING YOU HERE EVER SINCE YOU WERE THAT LITTLE CRYBABY BITCH! I should have disowned you.."

Those last two sentences.. they broke my heart, really. Shattered into many little pieces.. he was more gentle in the past, huh? Father..

14 years ago...

I was thrown rocks at, yelled, abused. I had enough of this pain of this stupid kingdom! People are treated like trash! People like me... I have made up my mind and I'll live in the forest, even if I'm only 13.. I'LL SURVIVE BUT NOT HERE! I cried and cried and.. cried, running down the alleyway, trying to find a secret way to leave this place. I found a way, a vine, hanging down the tall wall that kept the village inside. I held onto my dusty bag and grabbed onto the vine, slowly climbing up.

It felt like it took hours but as soon as I got my head peeking above the wall I was meet with a monster.. a skeleton! He looked young. About.. 7? Why was he up here!? I then saw another skeleton walk up behind him and placed their hand on his shoulder. They had a hood covering their face. They also looked young but older than me. "Cross, who's that?" They asked. By the voice I could tell it was a male. "I don't know.." the younger one said, still staring at me. "W-why are you two?.." I asked. "We have full permission by King Nightmare! Why are you here!?" The hooded one growled. "Let me up first and I'll tell you". The younger one, called Cross, helped me up. We stood there in silence before I turned my back at them and started running.

"HEY!" I heard the older one yell and chasing after me. "I'M NOT GOING BACK DOWN THERE!" I yelled, crying before bumping into something. I looked up and saw the hooded skeleton. I could see his face more clearly now. His pupils where multicoloured which is cool but he had a crazy look in his face... I backed up but then hit something sharp, making my back ache in pain. I turn around and see a knife pointed at me by Cross. I started shaking before feeling a wave of negative aura from behind. Only one person had aura... NO! I PREFER TO BE DEAD THAN BEING TAKEN BY THEM!!...

I looked down at my left, seeing the cliff, the other side of the wall, the cursed forest. With no hesitation I jumped to my left, jumping off the wall. "HEY!!" I heard Cross yell but I closed my eyes, my face facing the ground as I waited for either death or impact- something wraped around my waist, the gush of wind that was hitting me then stopped, leaving me confused. I opened my eyes and looked down at my waist. It was a goopy and slimy black tentacle. I tried to wiggle out of it but it's grasp got tighter, hurting me slightly. The tentacle slowly and gently started to bring me back up onto the wall. I kept my eyes closed, shaking and crying. I then felt a pair of arms rap around me, making me flinch. I didn't want to look, I just.. wanted to.. I leaned into the arms of this mysterious figure and fell half asleep since I was to tired and stressed to bother. I heard mumbling and muffled yelling but I was to tired to understand what they were saying. Then I completely fell (666 words from here-) asleep.

I then woke up, looking around. I was in a bedroom. A dim lighted one. I then heard a knock on the door. I replied with a raspy and tired "H-hello?". The door slightly opens and I see Cross peeking behind the door. He walks in and sits down in front of me. "Hi sis!" He says, making me quite confused. "Sis?.." I mumbled, tilting my head to the side a bit. Dust then walks in, answering my question, "Father adopted you for some odd reason when you fell asleep in his arms". I was even more confused. Dust sighed and started explaining, "King Nightmare adopted you with no explanation so now you are now our sister. We're also adopted by him when we were little". I blinked twice, adopted by the King!? What the hell is this piece of crappy story? I'll just have to see..

Few weeks past, I've been getting along with everyone. Turns out there were others; Killer, Horror and Error. The oldest one was called Error. You could say he was an adult now. Horror was the second oldest, 15 years old. Then comes Dust, 14 years old. Cross and Killer were the same age, 7 years old. Cross was calm, obsessed over chocolate where Killer was very childish and hipper. I had a dream, I got everything I wanted. THIS was what I wanted, this is the type of family I was hoping to have ever since the start..

I was surprised how caring, loving, protective and gentle King Nig- I mean, father was! There were a lot of rumors about him. Him being evil, killing anyone he met, having their heads hanging outside the walls. But, he's like a biggy cuddly teddy bear when you get to know him! The real him! The first time I realized this is when I was walking in town, buying food since father asked me to go grab some since we suprisingly ran out...

I was running down the street with the right 'mount of gold in my pocket, going in each shop to get what Nightm- I mean, dad requested. I really need to get use calling him that. I was now trying to find the fishermen for some tuna, until of course I got snatched and thrown into the alleyway. I got thrown onto the ground, and punched in the face. I flinched at the sudden pain, sobbing. I opened my eyes, my eyes meeting with those four people who always bullied me when I was all alone. They kicked me in the gut. I tried to scream but my head was under water. They called me weak, like I'm not just somebody's daughter. Could've been a nightmare. But it felt like they were right there. I coughed and sobbed in pain as they kept leaving scars and bruises here and there. They then knocked me out but I could still feel the pain in every inch of my body. I just let the darkness consume me. But when I wake up I see, Nightmare hugging me tight. He then said,

"As long as I'm here
No one can hurt you
Don't wanna lie here
But you can learn to
If I could change
The way that you see yourself
You wouldn't wonder why you hear
They don't deserve you"

I held onto Nightmare, crying. He picked me up and gently patted my head, hushing me. He then teleported back home. He sat back down as I heard running from behind me then someone hugging me. I opened my eyes and looked at who it was. It was Dust. Suprisingly over the past few days after we met he's been a bit clingy and over-protective. Cross was the same but not that protective. Talking about Cross, I just realized he was on Dust's back, trying to hug me. I chuckled and hugged him and Dust. Both Horror and Error were busy and Killer was asleep. But oh boy, if they were here this would have became a doggy pile but without Wally Talky Window Vista...

Such good old memories.....

WOAH! Long chapter there! I got this idea from the song at the top and did decide to add a pinch of the lyrics in it. The original song, "Everything I wanted" is by Billie Eilish.
