"You called me an idiot! Now I'll show you who really is an idiot!" I said as I held her hand and started pulling her towards the door of the basement.

"Laksh! Please no! What are you going to do? Please... I'm sorry... I'm so sorry for hiding it from you. I'll never ever hide anything from you. Please don't hurt me." she started pleading.

I stopped and turned to look at her. Her eyes were flowing endlessly with tears and her face was showing total fear.

"I'm not going to hurt you this time. Not physically at least. So relax! But I'm definitely going to give you a reality check. You have no idea what all you don't know." I said as I turned back again and continued walking down the stairs, pulling her with me.

She didn't say anything after that or protested.

We reached the room where my brothers were tying the bastard to the chair. I noticed him getting shocked as his eyes fell on her. My brothers also looked at me with confusion about why did I bring her but they didn't say anything.

I left her hand as I pulled two other chairs and put them at the other side of the table, right in front of Sagar. Then I held her hand and forcefully made her sit on one of the chairs.

"Don't move from this chair and just stop shaking!" I said to her as I sat on the chair besides hers.

She immediately stopped moving and sat like a statue.

I then took out the knife from the drawer and kept it upon the table, along with my gun.

"Untie his hands." I said to my brothers.

Arjun came forward and untied his hands.

"Keep your hands on the table, palms down and don't you dare to move them until I say." I said warning him.

He gulped and did as I said.

"Ok! I'll just ask some questions to you. Give me the honest and true answers. I don't like liars. Try lying and see what I do with you." I said smirking.

I saw his hands shaking on the table and that made me feel satisfied.

"Whom you work for?" I asked as I crossed my arms around my chest.

"Ka... Karan Shekhawat..." he replied stammering.

"From how long?"

"One month!"

"You know her?" I asked pointing towards Ragini.

He looked at her and then at me. He nodded his head slowly in a yes.

"Who's she?" I asked tapping the tip of the knife on the wooden table.

"Ragini Gad... Gadodia... Daughter of Shekhar Gadodia... Jai's ex-fiancee..."

I noticed Ragini getting shocked at that.

'It's just the starting.' I thought.

"Hmm... Very good! Did he send you here to kill me?" I asked lifting my brows up even though I knew the answer already.

"No!"

"Why did he send you here then? What was the motive?"

He didn't answer but stayed quiet.

"I asked something." I said in a higher pitched voice this time.

He jumped, getting scared.

"To... To know about your work and men..." he started.

"Hold his right hand!" I said to Yuvraaj.

He held his hand tightly on the table and I cut his little finger.

"Nooo!" Ragini screamed as she closed her eyes.

He started screaming and crying in pain.

"Just keep your mouth shut! Didn't I tell you not to lie?" I asked glaring him.

He stopped screaming but pain was clearly seen on his face.

"I don't joke. When I say something, I mean it. Lie again and lose another finger!" I said.

"Keep your hands back on the table." I ordered and he followed with blood flowing from his one hand.

"So, why did he send you here?" I asked again.

"To know the code of the gate of your house. To inform him when there are not many men around you to safeguard you and to keep an eye on her, whenever possible." he said in a pained voice while looking at Ragini.

I didn't need to look at her to see that she was getting more and more shocked with every revelation.

"Look at me not her!" I shouted and he immediately turned his eyes from her to me.

"What was his plan?" I asked gritting my teeth.

"He wanted to take her away in front of you and later kill you to seek his revenge." he answered.

"So sad! I poured water on his fabulous plan! This beautiful dream of his is never going to be fulfilled." I said shaking my head.

"Where's he now?"

"He's out of the country. He left immediately after the plan got failed." he replied.

"He knows me very well! Where did he leave for?" I asked knitting my eyebrows.

"I don't know."

"Huh... Till when he'll run away from me!" I said smirking.

"Okay! I know you don't know anything more. So tell me, how would you like to die? With the gun or the knife? Or any third way?" I asked pointing at the gun and the knife.

"Please don't kill me... Please..." he started begging.

I looked at him with a bored look.

"You have to die. It got decided the second you sold your loyalty. I'm giving you an option about how you want to die. Isn't it enough?" I asked uninterested.

"Let me go from here. I can't see that." I heard Ragini's low and pleading voice.

I looked at her and shook my head in a no.

"Nope, buttercake. You need to see him dying." I said as I pulled her hair out of her face.

"Please..." she tried convincing me but of no use.

"You didn't answer." I said as I turned my face back to Sagar.

"By... By the gun!" he said crying.

I smiled as I picked up the knife.

"And what made you think that I'll grant any wish of yours?" I asked and didn't give him any chance to answer because I passed the knife through his neck.

Ragini screamed at that and I felt her holding my arm. I looked at her. Her eyes were closed shut and there was blood on her face, like mine. She was crying now. I moved my hand and wiped the blood from her face.

"It's done! And with this, your punishment also gets over." I said.

She opened her eyes and looked at me with her drained and pale face.

"Can I go from here now?" she asked looking down.

She was trying not to look at the body on the chair in front of us.

"Let's go!" I said as I got up and pulled her up as well.

Both of us made our way out of the room and then upstairs.

We walked silently till the stairs. I turned around and was about to go back to the basement but stopped when she spoke.

"How did he know me? Who's Karan Shekhawat? I don't know anyone with this name." she said.

I turned back to her.

"There are many things which you don't know and your answers lies in them only. But you'll get to know everything, very soon." I said as I took a step closer to her.

"They came here and attacked on your house because of me. I'm very confused. They wanted me! Why? What they have to do with me?" she asked with a confused look on her face.

"Yes! You are the reason of that attack! Everything happened just because of you. If you would just have told me about him that moment itself then all this wouldn't have happened. They wouldn't have gotten into my house. My ten loyal men wouldn't have died." I said with a clenched jaw.

"I thought it wasn't important." she said and I saw her eyes turning glassy again.

Damn, how much she cries!

I moved more close to her and slipped my hand around her slim waist. I held her chin and made her look into my eyes.

"In our world, every word matters! Every f*cking action has a reason behind it. Nothing is supposed to be ignored! A small ignorance can lead to a bigger disaster. Keep it in your small brain." I said calmly yet dangerously as I ran my thumb on her chin.

"Go to your room and sleep." I said as I left her and walked away from her.

I heard her footsteps fading as she started going upstairs. I saw my brothers coming out of the door of the basement.

"Bhai, I have a question." said Ryan.

"What?" I asked.

"How does your mind works? You're too good! I mean how did you catch him so easily?" he asked with wide eyes.

"That's the reason my boy, that I am the boss!" I said smirking.

The four of them chuckled and then nodded.

"Indeed!" they said in unison .

"Okay, I'm going to sleep now. I have a class test tomorrow." said Kabeer yawning.

"You will go to the college to give a class test!" I said not feeling satisfied with what he said.

"He's going to the college to meet Ashi. It's her birthday tomorrow. I think!" said Yuvraaj rolling his eyes.

"Did you also bring any gift for your girlfriend?" asked Arjun while making faces.

All of us turned to look at Kabeer. He showed all his pearls in return.

"Good night big brothers." he said and ran upstairs to his room.

"If you don't give any gift to your girl that doesn't mean no one else should." said Ryan looking at Arjun.

Arjun glared him and left for his room without saying anything.

Gifts? Huh...

Kabeer is such a kid! Sometimes he acts like a crazy lover boy. Totally opposite to the nature of the rest of us.

Ryan and Yuvraaj also left for their respective rooms. I sighed as I also started walking upstairs to my room.

I entered into my room and closed the door. I made my way to the washroom. I pulled up my T-shirt and threw it aside. I washed the blood from my face and hands. I then looked at the bandage around my abdomen.

"No one can save you from me! You'll die with my hands only. Run how much you can!" I said looking at my image in the mirror.

I moved out of the washroom and lied down on the bed. I took out my phone and started going through it. Then I dialed Tushar's number.

"Tushar..."

"Yes boss!"

"I want you to crosscheck the backgrounds of all of the men who works for us along with their current activities. I don't want any other deceiver among my men. If you find anyone or anything suspicious then inform me immediately. I'll tell anyone of Arjun or Yuvraaj to help you." I said.

"Okay boss! The work will be done."

"And also, keep telling me every detail related to Karan Shekhawat and his location."

"Okay! I'll keep telling you."

I disconnected the call and tossed my phone aside.

"Aaahhhhhhhh.... Someone help!!!!!!" I heard Ragini's loud scream.

I got shocked and immediately got up from the bed.

"I guess someone else is also going to die out of my hands today." I said making a fist of my hand.

I picked up my gun and stormed out of my room to Ragini's but she wasn't there.

"Where's she?"

I heard her scream again and it was coming from downstairs. So I started running downstairs.

The area was dimly lit because it was night. My brothers also came running out of their rooms with their guns in their hands.

"Who's there?" asked Ryan.

Right then we saw Ragini running out of the kitchen to the hall and then towards the stairs where we were standing. We also ran towards her. She looked at us with her scared face. She moved towards me and hugged me tight.

She was shaking and sweating.

"What happened? Why did you shout? Did you see anyone in the house?" I asked with my temper rising.

"There's someone in the kitchen." she replied trembling.

"Someone has come to our house to die out of our hands!" Yuvraaj said angrily and the four of them stormed in the direction of the kitchen.

I looked at them and then at Ragini who was still hugging my bare upper body.
