Hailey's POV
*ring*
*ring*
*ring*
I groaned loudly as I continued to listen to my phone vibrate on my night stand. It couldn't be morning already, could it? Even then, it was the weekend, why would my alarm be going off? My phone vibrated a couple more times when it finally settled down, for a second at least and then it started right back up again. Finally giving in, i turn around to see that my phone is actually ringing. I pick it up and see Angela's name across the screen, quickly glancing at my clock on my night stand I notice that it's barely 20 twenty passed midnight, I've only been asleep for a couple hours, yet it felt so much longer. Why the hell would she be calling me so late for?
I motioned to answer her phone call as it's still ringing, quickly placing the phone next to my ear, "hello?" I croak, but don't get an answer in return.
"Helllooo," I try for a second time and nothing. I pull the phone away from my ear only to realize that Angela had hung up by the time I answered. There's two missed class from her on my screen, along with some other irrelevant notifications, and about a million messages from Isaac.
Ignoring her calls for a few more seconds I open Issac messages first, there's about six of them in total. They start off where we left off, and then like always I fall asleep on him. His first message reads, "what if I get Dion to do it? I technically wouldn't be starting it then."
I giggle quietly as I continue to read his messages. Isaac was at a kickback with his friends before I fell asleep, and apparently there was some guy there who kept staring at him and he was asking me, and I quote "if he could bash his face in." I of course said no, and asked him to behave, have fun, and not start anything, therefore why he said what he said.
I continue to smile as I read his other messages, "I'm kidding princess, I promise I'll behave."
"Did you fall asleep or are you punishing me by giving me the silent treatment?"
"God I hate when you fall asleep.."
"Lmao I fücking bug you a lot, I'm sorry."
"Baby.."
My smile starts to die down a bit as I continue to stare at his message thread. His last text came in 32 minutes ago, and Isaac rarely called me baby while we texted, it was always princess, princess, princess. I had a good feeling deep down in my stomach that he was probably drunk, and I asked him, please, please, don't drink so much because he was gonna have to drive home. I glance at the top of my phone to check the time, it was 12:27. I wonder if he's still out. I click on Isaac's contact info, about to call him, check if everything's alright, when my phone starts to ring for a third time with Angela's name on the screen.
I instantly answer it this time and I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little anxious as to why she's calling me so much, "h-hello?"
"Oh my God, Hailey! About time you answer!" She yells into the phone, there's a bunch of background noise so it's hard for me to hear her. "Were you asleep already?"
"Ang, i can barely hear you!" I speak loudly into the phone, although my side of the end is quiet.
"Ugh," she groans, "hold on!"
I wait quietly for a few seconds while Angela goes to a more quieter place so that I can hear her, or so I assume. A couple seconds later she's speaking into the phone again," okay, can you hear me now?"
"Loud and clear captain, what's up?"
"Your boyfriend that's what!" She exclaims. "He's thrashed!"
"Thrashed?"
"Drunk," she chuckles. I knew it. "I keep forgetting how innocent you are."
"Hey!" I exclaim.
"It's not a bad thing, babygirl!" She continues to chuckle.
"Oh my god, are you drunk?"
"Not necessarily," she giggles. "I stopped drinking to take care of Isaac. He tends to want to fight the whole world when he's drunk, and he keeps fucking whining about wanting to see you. I even had to hide his keys because he kept wanting to leave."
I sigh deeply while shaking my head, "that boy.. where is he now?"
"Ummmm," Ang hums into the phone. "Dion took him out to the back to calm him down, that's when I took the opportunity to call you."
I sigh again, "I'll go get him, can you send me Vinny's address?"
"Yeah, of course! But if he ask's I did not call you."
I laugh softly, "I'm deleting your call as we speak."
"Okay now you're just lying.." she says jokingly. "I'll text you the address right now, okay?"
"Okay," I reply and she ends the call.
Using the light from my phone screen, i turn on my small lamp on my night stand and carefully try to get out of bed without waking waffles up, who's laying at the end of my bed like every other night. I grab my brothers black Adidas hoodie that has became mine over time, and throw it over my spaghetti strap that I was sleeping in. I quickly change out of my sweats and throw some ripped jeans on. I didn't plan on staying long at Vinny's, I was literally just going to pick my drunk boyfriend up, take him home, and get back home before my dad found out that I snuck out without permission, but I still didn't wanna show up in sweatpants to a party, I at least wanted to look some what decent.
I put my shoes on really quick, threw my phone in my bag and quietly headed down stairs. I left my door slightly ajar incase waffles decided he needed to use to restroom while I was gone. My dad had installed a doggy door for him going out into the backyard that way he could go in and out whenever he wanted a few days ago, and Waffles absolutely loved it. My phone vibrated in my bag upon making my way down the stairs, I opened it and reached for my phone to see that it was Angela with Vinny's address. I turned my flashlight on and quietly headed towards the side table near the front door, my dad usually kept his keys there, or in his room and I was praying to baby Jesus that they were out here tonight, if not I would be very screwed.
Just like I was hoping they would be, they were laying on the table next to a couple bills. I reached for them trying my hardest not to rattle them and reached for the door knob, when a deep voice from behind me makes all the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. "Where you going, Hail?"
I quickly turn around to find my brother standing near the kitchen island, a water bottle in his hand. "Oh my god, Caleb! You scared me! You sounded like dad for a second."
He chuckles quietly, "funny, I never pegged you to be the sneaking out type."
"I'm not," I answer and Caleb arches an eyebrow, looking in my direction. "Are you gonna tell dad?"
"Did you ever snitch me out all those nights that I snuck out?" I shook my head no. "Exactly, but where are you going, Hail?"
I inhale a deep breath and tell him the truth. "To a party... but it's not what you think, Isaac's had too much to drink and I don't with him driving like that, I was just gonna go pick him up and take him home."
My brother doesn't say anything instead he stays quiet, and starts to limp his way around the small island. It's been about a week since Caleb's incident, and thank God that he didn't have any broken ribs. My dad obviously found out about what happened and wasn't to happy that Caleb wouldn't tell him anything. He dragged him to the hospital that same morning, where he had X-rays done and turns out that his ribs were only bruised, not fractured.
Caleb stops a couple feet away from me, taking the keys out of my hand. "I'll drop you off," he says. "This way if dad does wakes up, it'll look like you at least asked someone for permission."
I smile up at him, "thank you."
"Yeah, whatever." He shoves me out of the way, making his way out of the front door, and I follow behind him, locking the house up.
We load up into my brothers car, rather than my dads and I give him the address and we take off. The drive to Vinny's house is about only a 10 minute drive, and I'm not surprised to see that he also lives in a fancy ass neighborhood like the rest of his friends.
We drive up to the address and Caleb stops the car a couple feet away, "do you want me to wait for you?" He asked.
I shake my head no, going to undo my seatbelt and reach for the door handle, "Ima drive Isaac's car home so he doesn't have to leave it here."
"Alright, call me if you want me to come back for you."
I nod my head, step out of the car and thank him one last time before closing the door. A couple seconds later Caleb drives off and I'm walking towards a huge beautiful two story house. I come to a halt when I'm at the front door, not really knowing if I should knock or just walk in. I've never been to a kickback, I don't really know what to do. I pull my phone out of my bag and dial Angela's number, but it just rings and rings until it finally hits her voicemail. I grunt quietly and hang up. It might be a long shot seeing how he's drunk, but I try calling Isaac too and it instantly goes to his voicemail. I roll my eyes and hang up the call when a husky voice behind me startles me.
"What's a pretty thing like you doing out here in the cold?"
"Oh my God!" I yelp looking behind me, and I'm immediately met by a devilish smile, followed by a deep chuckle.
"My bad, I didn't mean to scare you," he says, flicking out his cigarette.
"It's fine," I smile softly, while shaking my head.
I take a quick second to get a good look a the stranger standing a few feet away from me. He was obviously from the Italian descent, no doubt about it. He was incredibly tall, maybe an inch or two taller than Isaac. He looked a couple years older than him too, maybe around my brothers age. He had one of the nicest beard I'd ever seen in my life, and it went perfectly well with his long dark hair that he had up in a bun. Everything about him screamed with masculinity.
He walks up the steps, standing on the front porch, easily towering over my own height, "so what are you doing all alone out here? You do know that the party's inside, right?" He smirks sarcastically.
Something about this handsome fellow immediately makes me uneasy for some strange reason. I cautiously take a step back, waving my phone at him. "I was trying to call my boyfriend so he could come out and get me, but he's not answering," I tell him.
"Ahhh," the guy smiles mischievously, and reaches and arm behind me, I take a step to the side and see that his hand is on the door knob. He opens the door, waving a hand inside, "well we wouldn't wanna keep Matteo waiting, would we now?"
"How-"
"You'd be a fucking idiot not to know who's dating the mob bosses son," he smirks. "Last I seen him he was out back by the fire," he winks before stepping into the house.
I walk into the house right after him and realized that there's a lot more people here than I would have imagined. Vinny's house has a similar layout to Angela's house, but I'm gonna have to say that her's is bigger, a whole lot bigger.. There's a few people in the living room playing beer pong on two long white tables, and some more just hanging around. I scan the room for any familiar faces but the only person that I recognize is Isaac's friend, Niko, from our foods class. He doesn't pay me no mind though, he's too busy tonguing the blonde girl on his lap. I shake my head and continue making my way through the house, when I finally see a friendly face in the kitchen.
"Hailey!!" Patrick hollers as he continues to make three mixed drink in front of him. "I didn't know you were coming tonight, Red. Where's your fine ass best friend?" He winks.
"Hey, where's everybody at?" I ask cheerfully, totally ignoring his comment on Carmen.
"Shit," he looks up at me. "I don't even know, man. Your boyfriends on the back porch, Angela's somewhere dealing with Dee because he started puking his brains out," he chuckles. "And these bad boys," he waves a hand over his drinks, as if he's created a master piece. "Are for Vinny, Bert and myself. We're in the pool house if you wanna come hang," he grabs all three drinks, walking towards the back door.
I shake my head, "I'm alright thank you. I just came to pick up my drunky."
Patrick chuckles, "good luck with that, come get me if you need help loading him in."
I nod my head and follow him out through the back doors, and he points over to a pit fire that's surrounded by comfortable looking chairs, and sure enough there's my drunk boyfriend passed out in one of them, with a hoodie draped over his head. I walk over to the sitting area and crouch down in front of Issac's chair, nothing that his dead phone is in his hand.
I grab it, stuff it into my bag and place my hand on his lap, lightly shaking, "baby.." i say softly.
A couple seconds later Isaac starts to stir, slowly peeling his eyes open. He smiles the second he recognizes me. "Hey," he manages to rasp out. "You're here."
"Of course," I tell him. "Where else would I be?"
Isaac closes his eyes for a good 5 seconds, then opens them again, "I'm sorry," he slurs.
"Sorry for what?"
"Getting drunk," he continues to slur his words. I don't answer him. "I- I know you don't like it."
"Shhh, why don't we go home, huh?" He nods shutting his eyes again. "Where are your keys, baby?"
"Keys?" He questions, slowly shoving his hands into the pocket of his jeans, then jacket only to come up short. "Ang took'em."
"Angela? Are you sure?" He nods, his eyes still closed. "Okay, Ima go get them, I'll be right back."
I stand up from my crouching position, when Isaac's hand laches onto my wrist. "I came in Acura," he mumbles.
Great, how am I gonna get him home now! I can't drive stick shift!
"It's cold out here, baby, why don't we go inside while we figure out how to get you home."
"Find Dion, trade keys with him, he knows stick."
I nod my head and help Isaac out of the chair, but then again he doesn't really need much help. For being as intoxicated as he was, Isaac was functioning pretty fine, or maybe it just hadn't hit him yet. He could definitely handle his alcohol a lot better than I could, although he still stumbled around here and there. I grab ahold of his hand to keep him a bit steady and walk back into Vinny's house. I quickly sit Isaac down in the kitchen, on a stool, and go around looking for Angela or Dion.
I walk back through the living room to check if they're in there, and immediately notice the guy with the beard and bun from the front porch is hanging around in here, almost watching my every move. I don't dare look in his direction and continue making my way towards the other side of the house, when I finally run into Angela coming in from what looks like the garage, two water bottles in her hands.
"Oh my god! You actually came!" She exclaims. "Wait, where's KP?" She frowns.
"I left him in the kitchen really quick, have you seen Dion? Ric mentioned that you guys were together."
"Wait, you left him alone?" There's a sudden panic in her voice, and I swear that she looks a shade lighter.
"Yeah, just for a couple minutes, he'll be fin-" but Angela quickly cuts me short, rushing towards the way I just came from.
"No, no, no," she mumbles under her breath, as she passes by me.
"What? What's wrong?" I exclaim.
"Axel is out there!" She shouts behind her as I try to keep up with her fast pace. "They'll kill each other if you leave them alone together!"
"What are you talking about? Who's Axel?"
She doesn't answer me, she continues walking towards the kitchen until we finally reach the opening and she's exhaling deeply, relief written all over her face now. There in front of us, sitting where I had left him, was my boy friend, her best friend, asleep on the kitchen island, alone.
I turn to look at Angela, "start explaining yourself missy, who the hell is Axel?"
She shakes her head, "nobody, I shouldn't have said anything. Why were you looking for Dion?" She quickly tries to change the subject.
"Don't you dare change the subject, woman! Who is he, and why we're you so worried just now?"
Angela looks up at me with a sadden expression, "I can't, Hailey. You should know by now how Isaac is with his personal life."
"Fine," I reply flatly, starting to make my way towards Isaac. I was trying my hardest not to be upset, but it was literally starting to get annoying how much in the dark Isaac is keeping me.
I hear Angela sigh behind me, "don't be mad, Hailey."
"I'm not mad," I mutter. "I'm annoyed. I'm irritated. I'm upset. I'm everything you can possibly think of, but I am not mad," I scoffed. "Believe me, Ang, I get it. Him," I point to Isaac behind me, who's still passed out on the kitchen island. "Wanting to keep me safe, away from that part of his life, but how do you get to know someone completely, when they won't tell you about such a big part of their life.. I'm not as delicate as he thinks I am, I could handle it if he just trusted me. I mean really, just because he doesn't tell me what he does personally, doesn't mean I don't know."
"Oh, Hailey.. KP doesn't keep you in the blind because he doesn't trust you, he does it because he has to, because there's certain rules he has to follow.. Ugh, I'm gonna get into so much trouble for this," she mumbles, softly shaking her head. "Axel.. he.. he comes from another family business, just like KP does, if you get my drift." She says looking up at me. "Mr. Matteo, no wait," she pauses, attempting to choose her words wisely.
Angela quickly glances back at Isaac and lowers her voice, "Ax and KP both play some big similar roles in their families, they're so alike, yet different in so many ways, and when you put two Alpha males in the same room together the only thing they're bound to do is want to tear each other's throats out.. I don't know, am I making any sense?"
"A little," I frown. "They're like each other's competition then?"
"Yes and no," she sighs, when Isaac starts mumbling behind us and I quickly make my way towards him.
"Did you get the keys, Hail?"
"Not yet, baby."
"What keys?" Angela asks.
"Dion's. That's why I was looking for him. Isaac came in the Acura, and I can't drive manual so he told me to switch cars with him."
Angela's scoffs loudly, "Dee's worse than he is! Why don't you take my car, I'll take Dee home in his since we live closer to each other."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah," she smiles. "You have your license right?" I nod. "Then there you go, let me go get my keys and check on Dion really quick, I'll be right back."
"Okay," I reply and Angela disappears back into the halls. I turn back to my left to find Isaac getting off of the stool I had sat him in, "where do you think you're going, mister?"
"Outside," he slurs. "need air."
"I'll go with you," i tell him.
Isaac shakes his head no, "wait for the keys, I'll be by the car."
I walk up next to Isaac and latch my hand onto his, "I said I'm going with you," I tell him.
Isaac narrows his eyes for a quick second and looks like he wants to protest, but he then starts chuckling softly, releases my hand and wraps his arm around my shoulder and we start heading towards the front door. We wait next to Isaac car, which is parked right a crossed the street from Vinny's house, where Angela can easily see us. It's the middle of the night still and the night air is freezing right about now. Isaac wraps his strong arms around me, pressing my back towards his car, burying his face deep into my neck.
"What are you doing here instead of being warm in bed?" He hums against my skin, and looks up to meet my gaze.
"Something told me that you needed me," I smile up at him.
Isaac scoffs, "something or someone?"
"Does it matter?" I asked, wrapping my arms behind his neck, and Isaac's hands slide down to my waist pulling me closer to him.
"No," he smirks. "In fact you should've been here sooner."
"Oh, you mean before you got drunk?" I say sarcastically and raise an eyebrow at him.
Isaac snorts loudly, "I am not that drunk," he grins, leaning in for a kiss.
"Mhm," I giggle as our lips connect, then quickly tear them away when we hear a deep voice coming from behind Isaac.
"Aye, love birds!"
I remove my hands from around Isaac's neck, yet Isaac keeps his hold firm on my waist. If anything he pulls me closer towards him as I try and look behind him, and see Patrick making his way over to us, a wide grin on his face.
"I've been looking for you guys all over the house," Ric says, holding a pair of keys in front of him. "Ang asked me to bring you these."
I smile and reach for them, "thank you, Patrick."
"No big," he smiles in return. "How you holding up, KP? You want some help getting him to Ang's car?"
"We're good, Ric, you can leave." Isaac grumbles.
I slightly frown looking up at him, "Isaac.."
"Nah, its fine, Red, I should get back anyways. Ang said to text her to let her know you're safe."
I give Patrick an apologetic look for Isaac's sudden attitude, "I will, thank you, Patrick."
I quickly shove Isaac off of me when Patrick is no longer in sight, "you didn't have to be rude to him," I say and start walking down the street towards Angela's camaro.
"Baby!" Isaac calls behind me. I can hear his uneven steps starting to pick up until he finally catches up to me. "Hail, stop please." He grabs ahold of my arm, turning me to face him. "I'm s-sorry," he hiccups.
"I'm not the one you need to be apologizing to, Isaac!"
He chuckles, "you're cute when you're trying to be mad."
I try my hardest not to smile, but I'm clearly failing. "Stop, Isaac! Im trying to be serious here!"
"Okay, okay, okay, I'm sor-" he starts to say, but hiccups right in the middle of his sentence.
I'm about to ask him if he's okay, when Isaac suddenly doubles over and starts throwing up all over the curb. I chuckle softly rubbing his back as he continues to puke his brains out, "I'm not that drunk my ass," I comment.
I open my bag and pull a water bottle out and hand it to Isaac, I had a tendency of always carrying one around with me incase I ever got thirsty while I was out. Isaac takes the bottle, uncaps it, and nearly chugs the whole thing, only two spit some back up.
I continue to rub his back as I click the unlock button on Angela's remote, "come on, let's get you home."
Isaac nods his head and takes the last swig of water but doesn't drink it, he swooshes it in his mouth and spits it out. Slowly but surely Isaac makes it to the passenger seat and immediately passes out by the time I've started Angela's car. The drive from Vinny's house to Isaac's takes approximately ten minutes, and the whole drive there I was afraid that Isaac would upchuck in Angela's car, but thankfully he didn't. I pull up to the front gate, totally forgetting that my boyfriend's house was secured from the rest of the world. A tall, muscular, scary guy shines a flash light into the car, tapping the end of it on the glass window, indicating that I lower it. I take a quick glance at the gun tucked into the side of his waist band before lowering my window.
"You're not Ms. DeSoto," he mumbles, looking a bit surprised. "It's a little late for visiting hours, don't you think, Ms. Summers?"
I'm actually a little surprised that the scary body guard knows my name, knows who I am. "Uh, I'm just bringing Isaac home," I point to the passenger seat.
The guy leans down lower, looking into the car and quickly looks behind him, mumbling something to the other guy who's sitting inside of the little post house.
"Fuck that," the other guy mumbles, shaking his head. "I'm not gonna be the one to wake him up, call Bevens."
The guy standing near the car nods his head and pulls his phone out, quickly placing it next to his ear. It's quiet for a couple seconds, when I assume that Bevens answers that phone. "I have Ms. Summers here at the gate with Isaac passed out in her car, should I let her through or wake the boss up?... I'm not sure... Okay, I'll send her in right now."'
The big guy shoves his phone back into his pocket, grabs something from the other guy and hands me a clip board. "Mr. Bevens is gonna meet you at the front door to assist you with Isaac, but I still need you to sign in.. Signature here, and time here," he points at the sign in sheet with the pen, and hands it to me.
I take the pen from him as he hold the clipboard in front of him, and I can't for the love of God control my hand from shaking as i attempt to sign the stupid paper. "Relax, principessa," he chuckles. "You're not in trouble, it's just for safety precaution," he says. I quickly sign the paper and hand him the pen, and he continues to chuckle while shaking his head. He raises a hand, making some hand gestures and the gate opens, "Go right ahead, Ms, Summers, Bevens should already be outside," he smiles.
I roll my window up and release the long breath that i hadn't realized I was holding, and drive up the estate drive way. Sure enough, just like Mr. Scary bodyguard mentioned, Bevens is outside on the front doors steps, in his pj's, with a fancy black robe over it, waiting for us. I put Angela's camaro in park, kill the engine, and hop on out as Bevens makes his way towards the car, immediately greeting me.
"Evening, Ms. Summers," he smiles, wrapping his robe tighter around him. "Chilly night tonight, ain't it?"
I nod rapidly, throwing my hoodie over my head, "I think my dad said that it's suppose to snow this week, I'm so sorry that they woke you up by the way."
Bevens shakes his head, "no you're fine, sweetheart," he chuckles. "It's sort of my job, to look after the Matteo's, anytime, any reason," he smiles. "May I?" He gestures towards the passenger door.
"Of course, please," i smile.
Mr. Bevens reaches for the door handle and gently shakes Isaac on the shoulder and he almost instantly wakes up. "Master Isaac?"
Isaac inhales deeply, staring up at his butler, "hey B," he slurs while grinning.
"Shall we get you inside before the big boss wakes up?" He continues to smile. Come to think of it, every single time that I've seen Bevens he's always smiling, whether it was the middle of the day or middle of the night.
Isaac then nods and steps out of Angela's car, "shall I assist you, sir?" Bevens asks kindly as we watch him attempt to hold his balance.
"No," he utters, finally glancing in my direction. "You're still here," he grins.
"Mhm," I wrap an arm behind him, "it's freezing, let's go inside," I tell him.
Isaac nods his head and we make our way up the steps, into his mansion, following closely behind Bevens. Once we're in doors there's another big, scary guy, waiting near the stairs. Bevens does a quick introduction and I learn that the big guys name is Tito, and apparently he's here to help out with Isaac. I carefully step away from him and Tito takes over, helping Isaac up the stairs. I get a little anxious because Bevens decides to leave me alone with the big guy, he said he would meet us up stairs in a couple minutes, and went to grab a few things for Isaac.
The only time Tito engages me in any type of conversation is when he politely asked me to get the bedroom door for him. I open it and step inside, quickly getting out of his way and he takes Isaac towards his bed, dropping him onto it and leaves without saying another word. I shut Isaac's door and sigh deeply as I watch him roll onto his side, and make my way towards him.
I roll him back onto his back, grab his arms and attempt to sit him up, but fail miserably. "Isaac!" I grunt, as I hear him chuckle softly at my failed attempts. "You gotta help me out here, baby, I have to go soon."
This makes him sit up quickly, and he's frowning deeply. "Y-you're not staying?" He slurs.
I take a step towards him, standing in between his legs and drape my hands on his shoulders, locking my hands behind his neck, as Isaac hands trail down my thighs. "I can't, my dad will kill me if he found out I snuck out."
"You snuck out for me?" He smirks.
I smile, ignoring his small statement, "let's get you out of these clothes so I can leave, yeah?"
Isaac's small smirks then turns into a wide grin, "if I get out of these clothes you're not going anywhere," he says.
I chuckle softly, placing a kiss on his lips, "you need sleep," I murmur.
"Stay with me," he mumbles back. "Just for little bit."
"Fine, but just until you fall asleep, okay?" He nods eagerly and I kiss him again. "Are you really going to sleep in your flannel and jeans?" I ask him. Isaac then looks down at his shirt and snorts, shaking his head no and starts to unbutton his shirt, well tries to. He fiddles with the button for about 30 seconds when I grow a bit impatient just watching him struggle over and over again. "Stop I'll do it," I tell him and he laughs deeply.
"I really am sorry," he says as I work my way down his shirt.
"Stop being sorry, Isaac, it's okay," I smile.
He doesn't say anything in return as I continue working on his shirt. I eventually manage to undo all the buttons and get the button up off of him, leaving him only in a wife beater and his jeans. I'm about to reach for his hat, remove it off of his head, when Isaac suddenly lets himself fall backwards on the bed, instantly breathing heavily. I giggle a bit and lift his legs up onto the bed, remove his shoes, toss them to the side, and walk over to the other side of the bed, making myself comfortable.
Isaac instantly turns around on his side, pushes himself up and reaches an arm around me, instantly pulling me towards him. Someway, somehow, Isaac ends up laying on top of me with his face buried deep into the crook of my neck. It's actually nice, him laying on me, rather than me on him. I wrap my arms around him, one of my hands softly scratching the back of his neck.
He's quiet for a couple minutes and I think that he's finally passed out. I feel his hot drunk breath at the base of my neck, when he murmurs something under his breath. "You're so beautiful."
I snort softly, "I know, baby," I tell him, removing his hat from his head so he can lay more comfortably. "You're always telling me." I toss his hat onto the night stand to my left.
"Cause I don't want you to forget," he slurs. "I don't ever want you to think less of yourself." I smile to myself, continuing to scratch the back of his neck. For being the big bad mafia's son, Isaac had such a sweet side that I'm sure no one else got to see, and I loved that.
We stay quiet for a couple more seconds, hoping to God that he finally fell asleep, when he murmurs 7 little words. "I think I'm in love with you.."
"W-what?" I stutter.
The butterflies in my stomach immediately go crazy as I'm easily caught off guard. Did he.. just say what I think he said?
Isaac chuckles softly, adjusting himself on me. He opens his eyes looking up at me, as I look down at him and my heart instantly melts when he smiles, "I don't have the balls to say this sober, but I am, I fücking love you, Hail. I've never felt this way about anyone, you're so fücking amazing."
"Isaac.."
He shakes his head, insisting that I let him continue, and I do. "You make me feel shit that I've never felt before," he adds. "God you don't even know how nervous you make every time we're together, and that's highly unlikely for me." He gets nervous? "I know that I make it seem like I know what I'm doing, like I have it all together, but I don't," he chuckles.
My eyes slowly start to glister with tears as isaac continues to drunkly pour his heart out.
"My heart instantly starts to fucking race every time I see you, you make me forget the little things I want to say every time I see your fücking smile. I actually get upset when I have to take you home, I'm moody when ever you're not with me. It's like.. it's like, I'm this little love sick puppy who has to be at your side every hour of the fucking day, or my days completely shitty."
He starts to chuckle, slowly shaking his head, "fuck, I'm sorry, i know its probably too soon, but I just love you so much."
I smile down at him, but I don't necessarily say I love you back, I can't really find my voice at the moment, I'm choked up by all his words really. Instead I lean my face down and lock our lips together.
Isaac combs one of his hands into the back of my hair, deepening the kiss. I start chuckling softly, "you're not gonna remember anything you said tomorrow," I murmur, smiling against his lips.
He snorts softly, "remember what?" And I giggle meeting his lips again.
