Natsu grabbed his collar, looking as furious as he felt. "What do you mean with 'my members will.' What are you planning?"

Jason grinned again, his face was all bloody but he didn't care. "You can torture me all you want, I won't tell. They are getting revenge though."

Natsu was looking at him with the darkest eyes he ever had. He hates Jason, no secret. Lucy looked at him questioningly and Gray and Jellal were having a pokerface on.

"Why? I do know I hate your little mafia, but I never murdered any of you guys," Natsu spat out. He wanted nothing more than to kill the man in front of him, but he needed answers.

"You never did huh? You're so fucking funny right now. No wonder you're the leader. You lying, manipulative asshole."

Jason was on his knees while Natsu stood in front if him, knowing fully well he found himself in a compromising position.

"Jason. Don't talk about Natsu that way. You don't even know him," Lucy stated with composure, though she wants nothing more than him taking it back.

Jason turned at her with a glare. "And you do?"

Gray snorted while Jellal looked at him with amusement in his eyes.

"I am his wife and I know him for 7 years already. You don't, so don't chicken nuggets say I don't."

Natsu raised his eyebrow, wanting to laugh at her choice of words. Jason was clearly confused. "Chicken nuggets? What the fuck has that to do with this situation? I swear Lucy, you are a weirdo."

Jellal couldn't help but laugh. "Lucy sometimes says chicken nuggets instead of fuck or fucking. Weird, I know." That earned him a smack on the shoulder.

"Well your face is weird."

Jellal crossed his arms. "How come?"

Lucy looked at him straight in the eye. "With your weird tattoo over your face and just the way it is shaped, Blueberry."

"What th—"

"Shut the fuck up," Natsu roared at them. They really are making jokes right now? Jellal turned around and mumbled a quiet 'sorry boss.'

Lucy also turned around. "Okay, sorry."

Jason couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. "You want to know what?"

This took Natsu's interest and he turned at him. Not even answering. The answer was clear in the air.

"We are going to hurt you, physically and emotionally we will break you."

Jason's voice was hostile and dark. Natsu raised up his hand to punch him, swung it down but stopped at the last second for it came in contact with his face.

"Why are you stopping? I told you what you wanted. My job is done, I have nothing anymore. I'm useless now, you don't need me. So go on, finish me," Jason told him straight in the face.

Natsu withdrew his fist and walked back. A look of disgust claiming his features, as if he figured something out.

"First of all, I wanted their plan, like an actual plan, not their goal. Secondly, you're pathetic."

Jason frowned, not expecting that.

"You are nothing to them. You are just a pawn in their game. They don't value you, they knew you were to be killed. Your mission was to scare me."

Lucy let her jaw drop. She didn't expect that at all.

Natsu crunched down, staring at him with complete calmness. "And you knew that too, yet you still took the job."

There was a moment of silence before Jason looked somewhere else. To the ground this time.

"I have no one to live for, so I want to be dead. I want to meet my family above. I want to be free." His voice was softer than first, and there was a tone of vulnerability in his tone.

"Bullshit!" Lucy said.

Jason's eyes went wide when Natsu grabbed his collar again. "You could have been free."

Jason chuckled, "Funny, you were about to punch me and maybe beat me till death."

Natsu tilted his head to the side. "You wanted to be useful for someone, anyone."

Jason shut his eyes tightly and Natsu knew he hit some spot. Natsu breathed roughly and he stood up. He looked at the ceiling and was thinking.

Nobody said a thing.

Jason opened his eyes, expecting a punch. "Open your fucking eyes and kill me already. Please just give me what I want."

Natsu looked at Lucy, Gray and Jellal. "Lucy, leave."

Lucy stared at him in disbelief. "Why me?"

"You don't want to see what will happen next," Natsu answered.

After some arguing Lucy left. Natsu grabbed his gun from his waistband.

He held the gun by Jason's temple. He saw a slight movement of shivering.

"You sure you want to be dead?" Natsu whispered in his ear. Jason nodded, lost for words.

"Last words?"

Natsu was looking at his dark figure. Jellal and Gray even knew what he was planning.

Jason knew this would be his end. So he closed his eyes and gave a tight smile. "I will meet you again."

He waited for the shot. He heard the gun being fired, but he felt nothing. Seconds has passed but he still could feel.

He opened his eyes and saw the gun was aimed at the wall. He looked wide eyed. And the only thought in his head was 'why?'

"W-wha?"

Natsu smirked. "As if I would grant you your wish, I am not that kind."

Jason gritted his teeth, he knew it was too good to be true, but nevertheless he took his chances.

"No, I won't kill you, Jason," Natsu said, sounding mild, less threatening.

"What happened?" he asked Jason.

Jellal and Gray decided to stand next to Natsu. Jason looked at the three. "What?"

Total silence.

Natsu didn't say anything again. Gray understood he had the task to negotiate now. He sighed. "Who threatened you?"

Jason's face twisted. "Like I would tell you guys."

"Look. You don't need to tell us, but either way, we will be getting information. Don't think we didn't see through your little lie," Jellal spoke in a bored tone.

And for the first time ever, Jason let his vulnerability see, clearly. You could see the hurt in his eyes.

No words needed to be spoken, Natsu figured it all out. Sort of. He knew the basics. Natsu walked to the nearest wall and punched it. A furious expression taking over.

"Figured something?" Jason said in a strained voice. Natsu nodded and walked back and forth, thinking.

"Who is it?" Natsu asked coldly.

Jellal and Gray waited for an answer, while Natsu stood some metres away from him.

"Someone. You would just use it against me. It's the way mafias work, don't take me for someone stupid."

Natsu decided he had enough. "Use it against you? We've already got you, degraded to your knees. There's no honor for you left."

The guys left the room first, Natsu stayed behind for a second. Natsu stood by the door and paused.

He had one hand on the door and his back was sided to Jason. He turned his face half, so Jason only saw a side of his face.

"Don't think I'm that heartless. My family is mine to protect," he said loudly. "Don't think for a second that you're spared." Then he left the room and closed the door.

Jason let his words sink in. The chair was broken, for awhile now. The boys tied his hands to his back and his legs to each other.

I'm really pathetic, Jason thought. His next words... he already regretted saying it. It hurts him to think about it.

"My sister," he answered Natsu's question to nobody.

His sister, Jason's sister, is held by Raven Tail. They searched for his past, that's why they know he was something to Lucy.

Blackmailed, threatened. Can it get any more unfair?

They forced him to act like the enemy. His sister was his only family left, and they used it against him.

Jason never knew Natsu was still standing behind the door. He was leaning against the door and had his arms crossed.

He was thinking, but then he heard the faint sound of 'my sister.'

His glare returned and he looked in front of him. He can't imagine how Jason feels right now. If he was in his shoes he would do the same.

Natsu decided his decision and he pushed himself off the wall.

"Figured."
