~Lucy's POV

I woke up next to Natsu, who was already awake. He looked at me, clearly still tired, but still managed to show a lazy smile. I smiled back and kissed him.

"Happy birthday, Natsu."

His bangs were covering his eyes. He scowled. "Ugh, birthdays..."

Yeah, he clearly hated it. I sighed, he never told me why he hates it. He would always say 'birthdays are just like other days, nothing special.'

Sure he celebrated Nash's and mine birthday, but he had exactly zero enthusiasm about his own. I wanted to go to Nash's room, to talk about the planning of his surprise party, but Natsu embraced me tightly.

"You better not do anything special today," he told me sternly. I smiled sheepishly, as if.

"And what if I do?" He couldn't see my face, but I was smiling widely. He sighed and hid his face in my neck. His right hand went to my waist and I closed my eyes.

"Depends on what you're going to do. But get up. I need to work."

I elbowed him in the stomach, "You're the one holding me." I said. He literally said I must go away, but he is the one keeping me down. Stupid...

He chuckled and let me go. He slowly stood up. "I know." He dressed in black pants and this time a simple white dress shirt. I was still staring at him.

Years of being together made sure that neither one of us got any shame left to spare. He dressed without a care that he gave me a good view.

His lips curved into a smirk. "Is watching me that fun?"

I nodded, not even denying it. "Yup. The view is very... entertaining," I answered, a smile breaking onto my face.

"And the best part is that it's all mine." I walked to him and kissed his cheek. Natsu put one hand in his pocket while the other one went to grab my chin.

Do you guys also find it looking hot when boys wear watches? No, oh well...

He kissed me again. "You got it right, Luce. I am all yours."

My heart fluttered at what he said. It wasn't like he never said it before, it is just that he most likely is going to say 'You are mine.' So these moments are amazing.

He pulled away and had a poker face on. "Just as much as you are mine, am I yours."

Natsu was going to his work while Nash and I decorated the hall, we weren't going to celebrate it home, but instead hired a venue. It was big, but we got help.

We mailed his employees in Dragneel Inc, and we mailed the members of Fairy Tail. This party is going to be big! I can't wait.

Maybe Natsu doesn't think it's fun, but I'm not gonna sit back and not celebrate the day he gets older. I snorted at what I said.

I had a plan in mind to get Natsu here. I know his schedule, work should be done at 6:00 pm today. But he's always overworking, so I'll make sure he will arrive. We were docorating everything and by the time we were done it was already 5:30 pm.

We got the food and almost all the members were there already. So I left and went to pick up Natsu.

I knocked on his door.

"Come in."

I opened it and he didn't even look up. Mostly because he didn't even know who was knocking. He was still writing on some papers.

"Sit down whoever you are and wait," he said in a harsh tone. I was not all too shocked about it. He hates it when people say 'congratulations' to him...

A surprise party wasn't the best idea then... but I was determined to make his birthday special. He always does that to me and Nash, why not sparing himself some time?

I sat down and chuckled. "Best way to treat your so called Angel that."

At my voice he immediately looked up. "Luce! What are you doing here?" he said, beaming at me and stood up.

"I'm picking you up. We need to go by my old friend." He raised his eyebrow a little bit, but didn't argue.

When he picked his jacket and went outside he was surprised to see none of his employees. He looked at me. "Did you do something? My employees aren't allowed to leave before 6:00 pm."

I laughed awkwardly. "Well... you see. I told everyone that they can leave 30 minutes earlier as a gift of you."

The next moment Natsu pushed me to the wall and glared playfully at me. He came dangerously close, next to my ear to be exact. "Do that again and I will punish you."

Ah, the master-maid act.

I snorted. "Of course you will." He took it like a challenge. "Talking back isn't allowed either."

I decided to shut my mouth for now. I was already 'punished' by him when I did naughty or assholy (his words) things. Cleaning halls, being pushed into a lake, tickled for so long etc. Of course the care that comes after that is amazing though.

He let me go after kissing under my ear. "Let's go to your so called friend."

I rolled my eyes but smiled right after. I went to drive and stopped the car infront of the hall. It looked like a house from the inside.

I opened the car door and so did Natsu. He looked at the 'mansion' and then at me, eyebrow raised. I think he saw through me, but nevertheless we went inside.

It was dark and I carefully stepped inside. Natsu did too and was immediately greeted with all the people coming from hide spots.

He groaned a little bit but then smiled slightly at me. "You couldn't let it, could you?"

I shook my head and everyone congratulated him. Nash came running to Natsu and hugged him. "Look what I got you!"

Natsu bent down and picked the present out of his hand. We went to a table to sit while everyone was already dancing. Some people waiting to give Natsu their present.

He opened it and looked at it. Not saying a word. He smiled widely after it and hugged Nash.

It was a hoodie with the context of: Love you <3 your son.

It was simple, but it is all about the meaning behind it. "Thanks Nash," he said and ruffled his hair. Natsu really loved the gift, but it was clear as the day that he can't say 'thank you' easily.

Nash smiled happily, knowing his father loved it and went to Reiki. His face was now directed to me.

"You seriously had to throw me a party? You know I don't celebrate my birthday."

"But why?" I asked, I needed to know. He picked my hands and held them secure. "It isn't important when I was born. Although I am really thankful that you were born at all."

I sighed and nodded, taking a mental note to not surprise him in the future. "But are you happy?" I asked, and I meant about the party.

He nodded. "Yeah, I am." He meant it, he really meant it. Then he pushed me to the dance floor and we swinged and danced carefree around.

He came close to my ear because of the hard music, "One thing. You really need a better trick to lure me. I must go to a friend, really? You think I'm stupid?" Natsu said, laughing at my idea.

I crossed my arms and pouted, "Shush. And yeah. You are stupid."

Natsu laughed loudly at me and kissed my lips for a second. "And still you're married to me."

After a couple of hours the party ended and some people stayed to clean. We waved our friends goodbye.

"Lucy... Lucy? LUCY!" I heard a voice say. Natsu and I turned around and there stood he...

Smiling in his dark blue suit with his hair messy.

My good mood broke apart and I stared at him.

"Who are you?" Natsu asked, looking at him with judging eyes.

I turned my head to Natsu and then back to him.

Why of all the places should he be here?

Why now?

"That's Jason... my ex."

The party ended fifteen minutes ago and Jason was still there. I don't even know why he is here. The fuck? I sure as hell didn't invite him.

"Lucy. How are you? It has been years, hasn't it?"

Jason said he wanted to talk for a bit and surprisingly Natsu agreed.

So now we three were sitting at a table and Nash was walking around with Mira.

"Yeah, it has," I said quietly, looking at his attire. Jason was the kind of guy who was continuesly looking for trouble. With how much I already encountered, I wouldn't be surprised if he was part of a gang or mafia even.

He still looked good. And I know I still love him. You can't just unlove someone. That's impossible. I'm glad I met Natsu. I could love someone more.

"What are you doing here?" I asked. Natsu was quiet the whole time, while he insisted on talking.

His smile fell and he looked at me sincery. "I just heard there was a party and you'd be attending. I'm really sorry for how I've treated you in the past, you know? I was drunk and I couldn't even remember my name. I want you back."

I stared at him widely, is he stupid? I'm married to Natsu. And it seems Natsu was the first one to speak. "I'm sorry, but Lucy and I are totally fine together."

Jason turned to Natsu coldly. "I wasn't talking to you. Who says Lucy is happy? I know that she still loves me, don't you Lucy?"

Natsu's hand clenched into a fist and he glared at Jason. How dare he to say that to Natsu?

I put my pokerface on, what I have learned from Natsu. "Yeah, I do—"

He didn't even let me finish. Oh fuck off. "Then come back to me. You said you love me."

Natsu put one arm on the table and supported his head on it, probably amused about his talking.

"Let her finish, prick."

I swallowed my saliva and continued, "I do. But I love Natsu more. At least he stays loyal to me, unlike you." I fake smiled.

His face fell too and he had a look of regret. "I'm sorry for it. I truly am. It was a mistake. But I'm ready to start over."

Natsu snorted softly, making me kick him under the table with a warning look.

"But I'm not." Not like I wanted to start over. Jason will always be my first love, but that's all he is going to be in the future.

"Why? Why do you love him more? What did he do to you to win your heart? Is it his money? Fame? Or his looks?"

I opened my mouth but Natsu was first. He put his hand on his chest, "Oh why thank you. You think I'm handsome. That got me flattered."

Sarcasm always does look good on him... Jason's eyebrow twitched."Stay out of it, Jackass. It is not your business."

Natsu scowled. "Everything involving my wife is considered my business. She is mine. She married me. She gave birth to our son. You've got nothing over her except your sad, pathetic history of cheating on her."

Natsu did a great job suppressing his anger. I have to say I'm impressed.

Jason looked at me one more time and then sighed. He stood up, "Fine. I will let you go, Lucy."

He said my name as if it was venom. Changing that fast, Huh?

"Now I ask you to kindly leave," Natsu said.

"Why should I?"

Natsu's eyebrow twitched. Instead of acting on his feelings though, he leaned back in his chair. "This is my birthday party. Look around. How many of my friends do you see here? Don't you think that they wouldn't have a problem with throwing you out?"

Jason scowled and carefully looked around, seeing that everyone was already staring at him. Their glares sent enough of a message. He swallowed before accepting defeat.

He walked away and I saw Natsu still holding onto that tension. I placed my hand on his shoulder, "Sorry for ruining your day."

He placed his hand on my hand, not glancing at me but at Jason's back in the distance.

He was silent for a minute and then looked at me. "You didn't ruin it. He didn't either. Someone like me won't let a bastard like him get even a fraction of my day."

"I still feel bad. I was the reason he showed up unexpectedly."

"You dated a member of Raven Tail. Whether you dated him or not, he would have shown up either way. He's a real nuisance to my business. I never knew how he looked like, God knows how good he hid his online information. You are his main goal."

I didn't understand what he was trying to say at me. He was still very tense. "Tell me, Natsu. What are you trying to say?"

He turned his head to look at me.

"They want you. They made it clear."
