I wake up to amazing smells. I walk out the bedroom and spot Ezra shirtless making breakfast. God he's hot. I take a seat watching him. He flips the pancake on the pan and when it's done he puts it on a plate.

He turns around and spots me. Immediately his face lights up. He brings me a plate of pancakes and leans over the table to kiss me. "Morning love" he says then takes a seat in front of me.
"Good morning, how early did you wake up?" I ask shocked.

"I can't sleep like you do" he says smiling. I wonder what keeps him up at night. "Has something happened?" I ask. He shakes his head. "No, I'm fine." He answers then walks over to pick up his jacket from the couch. Is he leaving?

"I have to head out for a couple hours, see you soon love" he says before leaving our house.

I eat the pancakes in silence as I try to figure out if he was telling the truth. Usually when he says I'm fine he isn't. I'm not going to push him maybe it is just work, but if not he will tell me when he is ready.

I've been watching tv for three hours as I wait for Ezra to come back. He hasn't texted or called me. I am starting to wonder what he is doing.

I get bored and close the tv to head outside for some fresh air. Outside there is a bench. Flowers and green grass surrounding it. I take a seat on it. This gift was the best thing I could've imagined. I feel at peace here. Just me and Ezra. It's like heaven.

Some minutes pass when I get a call. Adan.

"Hello?" I say.

"Amelia...he told me to let him be... but I don't think he is feeling great..." Adan starts confusing me.

"Adan where is Ezra?!" I ask worried.

"He's having a panic attack again. He won't let me in" Adan says and I leave without hesitation. I find a taxi and drive to Ezra's mansion. I run out the car and inside the house.

"Where is he?" I ask as Adan points to the room I've never been in. Ezra never let me walk in there and I never questioned it. I get it now. This isn't just a work room. He goes there when he's feeling bad.

I knock on the door. "Leave me alone Adan!" I hear Ezra's voice breaking.

"Ezra open the door." I say trying to open it. He doesn't answer. "Please let me help you" I say knocking once again.

A few seconds pass when he unlocks the door. I go right in and see him struggling to breathe. "What is happening my love?" I say cupping his face in my hands. His eyes is filled with tears making me so worried.

"My father... he's..." he can't finish his sentence but I know exactly what he meant. "Oh Ezra I'm so sorry" I say hugging him as he digs his head into my neck.

I know Ezra heated his father a lot but he was still the only thing Ezra had. It's after all his father. The person who raised him is gone forever. It isn't easy. "Do you need anything, pills, water?" I ask scared for him.

He looks me in the eyes. "I already took them" he says. I wipe a tear off of his cheek. He doesn't say anything just looks at me. "Can I do something for you? I'm worried Ezra" I say.

He shakes his head. "Just be close to me." he says and I do so. I take his hand leading him to his bedroom. He sits down on his bed trying to understand what has happened. "It's stupid that I'm crying, I hated that man" he says.

I take a seat beside him. "Of course it's not stupid, you grew up with him, he was a part of your life even if you liked him or not." I say making sure he knows it's okey to cry. Everyone needs to let things out sometimes.

"It just... feels like I'm nobody now. He made me this" he says pointing at himself like it's something wrong with him.
"And now he gets to be at peace as I will be living in his mess. It's like a part of me died with him. My whole past is gone. Everything I went through for fucking nothing." He says.

"I get it. It's hard I know but it will get easier. You can do so much good. You never have to worry about him ruining things for you again. I will always stay by your side and never let you feel alone again." I say making sure he knows he can have an amazing life without his father. He's caused so much trauma for Ezra and slowly it will all be better because nobody will ever hurt him again. I will make sure of that.

Days has past and he seems happier. It's good to see that he has moved on. He is the same old Ezra. Rude to everyone but me. I just wish people saw the Ezra I see. He doesn't know any other way, I don't blame him, so we have to work on some things.

I head out from school and Ezra is already waiting for me outside. This man really knows my whole schedule. Is there anything he doesn't know. I laugh for myself before stepping inside his car.

"Hi" I say as he stretches over to give me a forehead kiss. I'm literally melting.
"I love that I still can make you blush" he says smiling at my red cheeks.

"Where are we going?" I ask as he drives. "It's a surprise" he says nervously.

We arrive at his mansion. I wonder what he is planning. "Alright, now get ready for tonight, I have put a dress on your bed. I will knock on your door at 8 pm." He says giving me a lot of time to get ready. He knows me well.

"But where are we..." I don't get to finish my sentence when he cuts me off. "No questions, it's a surprise remember" he says smiling then leaving me.

I get ready for 3 hours. I know that's a long time but like when one is blasting music it takes double the time.

I've put on the gorgeous dress Ezra has picked out for me. It's a white silk dress. Fitting me perfectly. I put on white heals to match the dress then a pair of small pearl earrings.

Not long after Ezra comes knocking on my door. I open it with a smile. His mouth drops open. "Oh stop" I laugh.
"I think my heart will explode" he says putting a hand on his chest to calm his heart. "Wow...you are beyond gorgeous love" he says then offering his arm and I hook mine through his. "You look really handsome too" I say as he leads me outside to the car.

He opens the door and waits for me to get in before closing. He then runs to the other side to sit beside me. Today we have a driver with us so that must mean it's a long night. Probably will be a party and alcohol.

The driver takes us to a beautiful building. I step out of the car looking at the building. It's like in the movies. I turn to look at Ezra that can't seem to take his eyes off of me. "What is this?" I ask not knowing anything that's going on.

"Okey I don't want you to freak out so I'm just going to tell you here. You can see it as a late birthday gift. I've arranged a party for you. With all the people who you've made a difference on. There are so many people in there who cares about you, wanting to see you because you have made a change in their lives." He says making me want to cry.

"Ezra...I'm about to cry" I say smiling trying so hard to keep myself together. I don't want to ruin my makeup. We head inside and people yell of happiness when they see us arrive. I watch Ezra's whole team smile at me. Adan standing in the middle. I never knew they all liked me but it's nice to know they do.
I see Mia standing with Alex. Alex guards are also here. The sweet lady who makes us dinner everyday. Suddenly I spot the little girl I once saved at the mafia event. She's here with her mother. Her smile brightens up the room. I can't keep the tears in anymore. One by one they fall down my cheeks. I see the girls I have classes with. Kai stands behind smiling at me.
I spot my old boss Lee. He's standing beside Mia. This is just too much.
I never knew I had this many people who liked me. All those days I felt all alone I never was. I turn to Ezra making a sad face. "Thank you" I say barely able to get myself together. I hug Ezra. This really means the world to me. I greet everyone else.

I greet the little girl who immediately runs up to hug me. Reminding me so much of when Eloise was young. "Look mommy it's the girl who saved me" she says posing at me. Her mother comes up to me. "You truly are an angel, thank you for everything" she says hugging me too. I turn around and spot my bestie.

"Miaaa!!" I yell as I jump in her arms, like little kids we make loud noises, as if we haven't seen each other for months. "Omg I think my ear just went deaf" Alex says covering his ears. "Oh shut up, your just jealous we aren't jumping on you like that" Mia says laughing harder.

After a while I find Ezra standing with Adan. I walk up to them and hug Ezra from behind. He immediately recognizes me and turns around to hug me back.

This is the place i feel the safest. "Thank you for all of this Ezra I can't even explain how much this means to me" I say looking him deep in the eyes. "Anything for you. Want to dance?" He asks. I nod. As we head to the dance floor Lover plays. It's like the first time we ever danced together. Ezra spins me one time then I put my arms around his neck. We swing back and forth with our foreheads together. I close my eyes to take this sweet moment in and remember it forever.

"I love you so much. And therefore I'm going to do this" he says without any more explaining. I open my eyes confused. "I have never met anyone like you. You have changed me for the better. I've never been this happy Amelia." He starts.

"Words can't explain my love for you and I can't imagine the rest of my life without you. Before you I was a monster, but you never treated me like one, you loved me even when I was being shitty. You had my attention the moment you stepped into my life and not a second goes by where I don't think about you love. A few days ago you were there for me when my father past away and I knew at that moment you were everything I needed. I feel at peace when I look at you. You saved me in every way" He says and I cry. I mean how can you not cry.

He goes on one knee. Oh my fucking god. I am freaking out. "I love you more than anything in this world, Amelia Gonzales, will you marry me?" Ezra says holding a box with a beautiful ring in it.

I press my hands onto my heart because I think it might burst out. Everyone is watching us waiting for my answer. And in this moment I have never been so sure of something.
"Of course I will marry you!" I yell out of happiness.

A relieved breath leaves Ezra's body as he stands up to put the ring on my finger. "It's gorgeous" I say then jumping into his arms.

"We're you nervous?" I ask laughing. "Honestly I thought you would slap me then say no" he says laughing at himself. "You know I love you" I say kissing him a million times.

A loud noise goes off. A stinging sound in my ears. Suddenly a brutal pain in my back. I struggle to breathe properly and lose balance in my legs. Ezra catches me. All I can focus on is him.

I grab his face as I realize what has just happened. I've been shot.
"I can't...breathe"
