"I love it, have you seen the upstairs?" Alex asks loving the new house. Especially his room. "I'm happy you like it" I say smiling as I look around the house. It's not done but all the basics are there. "Could you see yourself living here?" I ask nervous he will say no. I really want my brother to move in with me.

"Are you kidding me I'm moving in today, it's amazing Amelia, you really have good taste" he says making me smile. "I know I do" I say giving myself credit.

"I will find a few guards to protect us" Alex says and I nod. He's been doing so good taking fathers role in the mafia. He tells me so little about everything that he does just because he knows I'm having a lot going on. Alex has been trained to take over after father all his life so it's nothing new to him. I'm happy it hasn't changed him. He's not and will never be evil.

Oh. Kai also asked me to be his girlfriend. I said yes.

It's weird, we have only known each other for two weeks. But when he asked I panicked and just said yes. I don't want to hurt him. He's the sweetest. He really cares for me. He also asked me to be his date for a mafia ball. Of course I said yes. It's my favorite event. And maybe this will make my heart feel something more for Kai.

The ball is tonight. He will pick me up at 8 pm.

"Are you attending the ball?" I ask Alex. "Yup, I have to, it will be many people to talk business with" he says. I hope all of this doesn't get too much for him. Father left a lot of shit when he died, leaving my brother in all of it. I'm proud of how good of a leader he is.

"Alright I will have to pick out a dress now, see you tonight then" I say as we part ways. I only have the dress Ezra bought me and I refuse to put that one on. He sent me a suitcase with all of my clothes I had when I lived at his mansion. I haven't opened it yet, it reminds me too much of him. All the dresses he has bought me and his scent on every clothing. I just can't. So I ask Mia to make me company as I shop for a new dress.

We meet up at the dress store and go inside. "I wish I could attend this ball" she says. "Wait you want to attend?" I ask. I'm shocked because I thought she was scared of these things. I mean there will be mafias there after all.
"Yea but I'm not in the mafia" she says disappointed. "Trust me it's better to not be, but if you want to attend I have a way of getting you in" I say. Her face gets excited. "Wait how"

"Alex have no date I can force him to take you" I say laughing since I know they kind of don't get along. "Girl yes I'm so in" she says as I call Alex.

"What?"

"Alex do you have a date to the ball?"

"No I don't want one"

"Well too bad Mia is going with you"

"No thanks"

"Oh common she has never attended a ball before let her have her moment"

"Ahh...fine just this once"

"Love you" I say as I hang up. "Let's get us some pretty dresses" I say. We she both picked out a few dresses to try on. Mia shows her picks first. The last one fitting her perfectly. It's a black dress with golden details. It has a slit on the side exposing a little leg. "You look so hot Mia" I say as she makes a spin. "This is the one" she says stepping back into the fitting room. I try on my first pick. It's so gorgeous. It's white with sparkles all over the dress. I don't even have to try on the others to know this is the one.

"Mia look at this" I say stepping out of the fitting room. She makes a happy scream covering her mouth. "You are perfection Amelia" she says smiling.

We both pay for the dresses we picked and head to my house. I've missed getting ready for things like this. Ezra always used to invite me to events.
No. Stop Amelia. No more Ezra.

"Should I have my hair up or down" Mia asks. "Up, but let some front pieces fall" I say resting on my bed. I love my new room. It's cozy. It has white and beige tones to it. A lot of candles. Sometimes I refuse to turn on the light just because I like candles more. It's big and has much room for dancing.

Mia and I walk out to the living room waiting for Alex. He comes down the stairs looking at Mia. He clears his throat before he says "Alright are you guys ready?"

"Mhm we are done, what do you think" Mia says giving us a spin. "Gorgeous, I mean you both look gorgeous" he says turning his attention to me. "Who will pick my little sister up?" Alex asks. I've totally forgot to tell him about Kai. "My boyfriend Kai" I say.

"Since when did you have a boyfriend" he says going into his protective mode. "It's fine he's a good guy, it's Kai Admos" I say as Alex relaxes a little. "The Greek ones?" He asks. I nod. A honk from outside. "He's here" I say as I grab my bag and head outside. Mia and Alex are a few steps behind as they get into Alex's car.

I get in with Kai. "You look stunning baby" he says grabbing my hand and planting a kiss on it. "And you look very handsome" I say smiling.

The drive is about 20 minutes away. We park the car and Kai opens the door for me. I step out and hook my arm through his. Mia and Alex are in front of us. Mia has her arm in Alex's too as they walk up the stairs. It's enormous in here. Every one dressed so elegant and luxurious. "Common I want to dance" I say taking his hand and leading him to the dance floor. I turn to Kai and hook my arms around his neck. He holds my waist swinging back and forth.

"I've missed doing things like this" I tell him. "We have many more events to attend" he says letting me know he has a future planed for us.

"I know it's probably very early to say this but Amelia you have done things to me. It's like I'm going crazy when I don't have you beside me. And I've realized that I love you a lot" he says. What. I didn't know he had such strong feelings. It's cute but I don't think I feel the same. It's not love. "That's so sweet Kai" I say as I give him a kiss. "I really like you" I say. He gets a little disappointed I can tell but still finds a way to make me laugh as he makes the funniest joke.

After dancing for about 20 minutes I say "My feet are starting to hurt" we stop.
"I have to find my father but go find your friends" he says as we part ways.

"Amelia" Mia yells waving from a table. Alex grabs her arm and forces it down. I walk towards them and take a seat at their table. "Your brother is embarrassed of me all the time" she says rolling her eyes. One fact is Mia doesn't care about what anyone thinks. And Alex have to get used to that if he's going to be around Mia. I laugh. "Alright Alex you have to loosen up a little let's find us some wine." I say. A man walking with a plate of glasses passes our table. "Excuse me" Mia yells raising her finger. The man looks at her. "Yes miss?"

"Can we get three glasses of whatever you have on the plate" she says. The waitress laughs but gives us our drinks. "Thank you" we all say before he leaves. I'm feeling tense. I'm scared of only one thing. I pray that he won't be here. I don't know what I would do if I saw Ezra here today. A heart attack maybe. I try to not think about it that much.

After an hour I spot Kai walking towards our table. "Thank god save me from these two" I say giving both Mia and Alex a stare. They have literally been arguing about what animal is the best pet. My head hurts from hearing about cats and dogs. Kai gives me a kiss then turns to my brother.

Alex stands up to shake hands with Kai. "Nice to finally meet one of the Admos" brother says. "Nice to meet you sir, if you don't mind I have some things I would want to talk about with you" Kai says. What could Kai possibly tell my brother. Alex gives one nod and they both leave.

"What are they going to talk about?" Mia says curiously. I move over and take a seat beside her so we can gossip a little. "Mia I have to tell you what Kai said" I say. She turns to me.

"Wait am I ready for this" she says scared. "Please tell me he did not propose" she says crossing her fingers. "Omg no!" I laugh. "Thank god" she lets out a relieved breath. "But I do think he will do it" I say making an unsure face. "What!"

"Yea he said he loves me today" I say. "Is he serious?! You guys have known each other for two weeks" she says shocked.

"I know I thought it was going too fast too. I don't know if I liked it or hated it" I say. I thought it was really sweet, he was honest with me. But could you call a two week relationship love? I mean if it was true love I would have felt it too. Right?. "Girl that kind of gave me an ick" she says looking disgusted. "Omg stop, it was cute" I try to convince her and myself.

"You really think that?" She asks still looking like he made a mistake. "Hey, you were the one who told me to date him" I say. "I know and now...I take it back." We both start laughing a lot. People around looking at us.
