Evolution Becomes The Queens True Test Of Endurace.
Over the next couple weeks. Hunter used me less and less. Only giving me a match when he daned to. The Tuesday before Evolution. I was put into a match against Samoa Joe. That match proved to be a war. When it ended I had barely broke the Coquina Clutch and slapped on my own signature Throat Claw. Joe passed out only minutes later. I had won but only just barely. Hunter made a surprise appearance after my match and asked, "So Daniel, with Crown Jewel on the horizon after Evolution. Would you like to be given a match on the card?"
I looked to Hunter. Then to the crowd. Ashley had made her way into the ring and stood next to me. I looked to her and she shrugged. I took the mic out of Hunters hand, "Your asking me if I want a match at an event that will take place at a mosogynistic empire and kingdom. One of the last ones that have yet to grow up with the rest of the worlds nations." Hunter nodded. "Hunter. I'm not like you. I don't hold money in high regard. Practically thinking that it's the end all be all of any existence. You and your wife might. But not me. To me, friends, family. Those two items take priority and precedent above all else in my view and in my beliefs. You may have a lot in common with that primitive culture hosting Crown Jewel. But I thankfully don't. You will never catch me treat a woman like an object or like she's invisible. You'll never see me in a crowd cheering for a woman's genitalia to be mutilated. That is sacreligious in my view as well. And should be outlawed all over the world. So in other words Hunter." I smiled and said, "Normally I'd say stick it. But since we're talking about a nation where women have no rights. I'm gonna have to say suck my nuts and blow them out your collective asses." I dropped the mic and Hunter got so mad that he tried to take a shot at me but I caught his arm and snapped on the Kimura Lock. He was tapping as I pressed his arm up his back, further and further and further until I heard a snap. I smiled wildly as I had dislocated or broken the arm of Hunter. I pushed him off me and rolled out of the ring as Ashley patted my back as I wrapped my right arm around her waist.
At Evolution that Sunday, Ashley's match was a Last Woman Standing Match for the Smackdown Women's Championship. And since I was not allowed at ringside I just observed her match from the gorilla. There were a few times during her match that I wanted to go out and see if she was okay. But the most surprising moment was when Becky put her through the announce table and tried to bury her under a massive pile of steel chairs and office chairs. And at the count of seven. My Queen. My Ashley climbed out of the pile much to the surprise of myself, the fans and also and more importantly, Becky Lynch.
When Charlotte had a table set up, and a prone Lynch had been laid across it. Charlotte slowly started to climb to the top rope and was nearly there until Lynch found some leftover energy to catch her in a powerbomb off he apron and through the table. Once the match was over I made a beeline to Charlotte. She was crying as she came so close to winning the Smackdown Women's Championship. I slowly picked her up bridal style and took her to the back and to the trainers room. After she got checked out and cleared to leave for our locker room. I carried her there as well. Once I sat her down on the sofa. She started to cry.
"I'm sorry Daniel."
"What are you sorry about ?" I asked her.
"For falling short of winning."
"Hey, hey, hey." I held her close her head buried in my chest. "Shhh, you don't need to be sorry for that. You didn't fall short. Winning isn't everything tonight. What you did and how you did it. Was amazing babe. I mean I have yet to see anyone climb out of a pile of chairs. And scare or surprise their opponent like you did." She giggled. "You, if anything have garnered a reputation tonight of being one of the toughest women in the company." I kissed her forehead and ran my left hand through her hair. "And you could never disappoint me. Or make me feel any less proud of you. You always make me happy and proud of you by going through challenges like this with courage and tenacity. I'll always be proud of you." I smiled as she pulled away as she looked up into my eyes. "You will never disappoint me. Or make me hate you. If you do you would've done something rather impossible." She started to smile. "I didn't fall in love with the genetically superior superstar. I fell in love with Ashley Fliehr. Who I'm sure makes her dad proud of the legacy she's making for herself every time she's in the ring, in front of the camera or on the microphone. I fell in love with a woman who didn't need to be legitimized by a guy if she came up short. If she did she'd work her ass off to do better the next time. I fell in love with you. Not a character on tv. You." She calmed down and kissed me.
"I love you, Daniel Boyce."
"I love you more Ashley Fliehr." I held her close and she hugged me close to her.
After Evolution, Ashley and I were just laying in bed and discussing what we would be doing for Thanksgiving. "I was planning on going home to Charlotte, North Carolina. But now that I have a boyfriend. I want to spend it with him as well, so would you like to come with me and spend Thanksgiving with me and my family?"
"I'd love to." I kissed her and she laid her head on my chest. Then out of the blue her phone went off.
"It's my dad." She smiled.
"Go ahead and answer it." I kissed her forehead and she answered her phone and put it on speaker phone.
"Hey, dad."
'Hey, sweetie. I just wanted to call you up and say that you did an extraordinary job during your match tonight. I've also noticed that Daniel and you are actually getting closer to each other.'
"Is that a problem dad?" She asked. I stayed quiet and just listened.
'Oh no. I've met Daniel and I think he's a great kid.'
"Well, just so you know. He'll be coming with me for thanksgiving this year."
'That's great sweetie.'
"And. We're dating."
'Well, I couldn't have been happier for you and him. And I'm sure people have told you this but I think you two are perfect for each other.' Ric said.
"Well I'm pretty beat dad. So I'm going to go to bed."
'Alright, I'll let you get to sleep. Goodnight.'
"Goodnight." She hung up.
"I'm glad to hear that he approves of me."
"Not as much as I am." She kissed me for a minute or two. Then laid her head on my chest. "Goodnight, baby."
"Goodnight, darling."
