I woke up first the next morning to a knock on the hotel room door. I looked to my left and found a sleeping Ashley. I slowly got up and snagged a small pillow and a blanket and put the pillow under her head and covered her with the blanket, then just put my jeans on with no boxers underneath. Once I carefully zipped up my jeans. I answered the door.
I found David, Wendy and much to my amazement. Ric. I was not happy to see Ric. But I was happy to see Wendy and David. "I would ask what are you doing here?" I started. "But I'm guessing your here to see Ashley?"
"Well, yes and no." Wendy said.
"Well, Ashley is asleep in the next room. So if you come in. I'd like to ask you to please be quiet so she can sleep." They all filed in quietly as I walked over to the bedroom door and closed it. "Please." I gestured to the sofa. They sat down as I remained standing. "So, who would like to go first?"
Wendy and David both looked at Ric. He sighed and said, "Look Daniel. I'm sorry if I was angry."
"Angry. You made it clear that the only way for me to pay you back for helping me through the grief I went through after losing Kennedy was to leave Ashley alone. Since I didn't ask you for permission to marry her." I scolded him. "You didn't use too many words. But that was the message you conveyed." I snarled. Then I heard the bedroom door open and I looked to see Ashley wearing the jeans and shirt from when she came to find me. And I could tell that she just did the same thing I did. Just put them on without any undergarments on. She handed me one of her 'Legacy' t-shirts. "Thank you darling." I kissed her cheek before putting the shirt on.
"So I see you three found us. I'm surprised you did dad." She sneered. "I really don't care what you think anymore dad." Ashley slid into my side as I wrapped my right arm around her and she wrapped her left arm behind my back. "Daniel and I are going to be married. And I made my peace with you not being okay with him not asking your permission or for your blessing. Using my past two failed marriages as a measuring stick. I realized that they asked your permission to marry me and they turned out to be complete scumbags. So as far as I'm concerned. I made the right choice with Daniel here." She leaned into me. "He loves me with all his heart. And I can't imagine my life without him."
"I'm happy for you Ashley, I am. I was reminded last night that I was behaving irrationally." Ric said. We all just remained quiet. "And I should have known that you had your reasons for not asking me for Ashley's hand first. And your right. You do owe me for helping you through the grief of losing Kennedy. And since I nearly cost my little girl the realest, most honest man of her dreams. Who I considered like a son in some ways. But even though I am mad about not being asked first. I think the best way you can pay me back for helping you through your grief. Is to be the man that my daughter knows you can be." I was dumbfounded.
"Umm, honey. I think I'm off my meds. Did your dad just in a very interestingly unique way. Just give me his permission to marry you." I said making Ashley, David, Wendy even Ric laugh.
"No your not off your meds baby. You heard right." Ric got up and approached us. "I'm hoping your being honest dad. Because I don't want to lose him. And if the only way to keep him means not talking to you or dealing with you directly anymore. Than I'm more than willing to do that in order to keep my Danny next to me."
"I'm dead serious. I want you and Daniel to be happy. And I know that he will make you happy. And if you still want me to, I'd like to be the one to walk you down the aisle." He smiled at Ashley.
"Well, I think it would be okay." Ashley smiled. She pulled away from me and hugged Ric.
"Okay. So what are you two going to do for the rest of the day?" David asked.
"Just stay in and have a little alone time with my husband-to-be."
"Pretty much what she said." I grinned as she swatted my shoulder.
"Okay. Well, we'll let you two get to it." Wendy smiled as she hugged me and kissed my cheek and did the same to Ashley. Then David bro-hugged me and shook my hand. Ric on the other hand got a hug and kiss from Ashley but all I did was shake his hand.
"You'll forgive me if I don't trust you yet." Ric nodded in understanding. Once they left Ashley and I spent the rest of our Thanksgiving Vacation which was only a couple more days including today. In Charlotte with a special visit to Shelby, North Carolina to get a change of clothes and for her to show off her home and it was gorgeous. But we thought it best to head to the next Smackdown Live event which was supposed to be In Phoenix in a day or two. We walked around downtown Charlotte and after we were packed the next day. "You sure you have everything?" I asked.
"Yep."
"Okay then what is this?" I pulled a very small box from my pocket and handed it to her. She looked at me for a moment and back at the box. When she opened it she gasped, she smiled and pulled out a key with the same color of her attire from Evolution.
"Ohh, baby."
"I thought that since we're going to be married sometime in the coming months. I was wondering if you'd want to move in with me in Eagle, Idaho." I told her. She smiled and wrapped her hands around my neck.
"I'd love to baby." She smiled as she kissed me. Once she put the key on her keychain we headed to the airport to catch the flight to Phoenix.

The first event or Smackdown Live  leading to TLC started with an announcement from General Manager Paige. "Tonight we will have two triple threat matches, one will be for a shot at Shinsuke Nakamura for the United States Title. And the other will be for the final slot for the triple threat lader match at TLC for the Smackdown Live Women's Title. The participants will be for the US Title opprotunity Daniel Boyce. Randy Oton and Rusev. For the final slot will be Charlotte Flair, Carmella and Naomi." She smiled and left the ring.

Ashley and I were in our locker room just getting ready for our matches. Then once we were dressed in our ring attire. We made our way to catering. While on the way there, we ran into Paige. "Hey, you guys. Congratulations once again on the engagement."
"Thank you, Saraya." I smiled along with Ashley. "But one thing, whose idea was it to give me the chance to fight for an opportunity to get a US Title match at TLC?"
"Shane talked it over with Vince. And Shane told me to put you in the match tonight since you put on one hell of a match at Survivor Series. And Ashley you made the biggest impact by attacking Rousey so I decided on my own to put you in the triple threat match for the last spot or the triple threat match for Becky's Smackdown Live Women's Title."
"That explains everything. Thank you." Ashley smiled. We continued to catering and sat and waited for our matches. Ashley's was the first to come up and since it was a triple threat, that meant I wasn't allowed to be at ringside. So I just escorted her to the gorilla.
"You be careful out there." I told her.
"I will." I kissed her and she headed out as her music hit. I just watched from the gorilla and as the match got  more intense. I smiled as I knew that my Queen had this in the bag. And I was proven right as she won the match with a pair of Natural Selections to Carmella and tied Naomi in a very stiff and painful Figure Eight Leglock. And after a few minutes Charlotte won by making Naomi tap out. I was so proud of her. When she got back to the gorilla I hugged her tightly and kissed her.
"Nice job babe." I smiled. "Come on let's get you checked out." I picked her up bridal style and carried her to the trainers and doctors office. She giggled as I carried her. Once she did get checked out and the trainer and doctor couldn't find anything wrong with her, she and I walked to our locker room and the beginning of what looked like a feud between Mandy Rose and Naomi started as Jimmy Uso was standing under a mistletoe and Mandy pointed it out to him and approached him but Naomi rushed her only to be stopped by Jimmy and Sonya.
Then my triple threat came up, I breathed deep a few times and kissed Ashley for luck. "Now you come back to me in one piece. I don't care if you win or lose. Just come back to me in one piece."
"I'll do my damndest to Ash." I smiled as I kissed her once more then headed out of the locker room and to the gorilla. A moment or two after I left Ashley headed back to catering to watch my match and enjoy the company of Becky Lynch.
"There's the engaged Queen." Becky smiled. "How's your King-To-Be?" She asked.
"Oh he's fine. He's been on edge since he asked me to marry him."
"Well, from what AJ told me among other friends of ours who are married. That's normal. But I'm sure he'd never do anything to hurt you or break your heart." Becky smiled.
"I know. And I'd never break his heart or do anything to hurt him."
They looked at the monitor and watched as my match had been going for close to fifteen minutes now.

Thirty five minutes later...
I had knocked Randy out with a 'Labotomy' and had worn Rusev down to where I caught him in a couple of snap suplex DDT's and soon got outside the ring and performed 'Electro-shock.' A three count later, I kipped up and raised my arm up in the air in victory and smiled as I pointed to the camera and said, 'I'm coming for the US Title Shinsuke. You better be ready to hand it over at TLC.'
I soon made my way to the back and Ashley met me at the gorilla. "Good job baby. You are going to destroy Shinsuke at TLC." I smiled as I leaned down and kissed her. She went with me to the trainers office and I got checked out. And like her, he couldn't find anything wrong with me. So we headed back to our locker room and got ready to head back to the hotel.

Over the next week or two, we hyped up our matches with various promos, then TLC arrived and Ashley and I had filmed double the episodes of Smackdown Live a few days before. Ashley was excited to get another shot at the Smackdown Live Women's Title. Just as I was excited to go against Shinsuke Nakamura for the long coveted US Title. When we arrived at the arena, Trinity approached Ashley, "Hey, Ashley."
"Trinity." Ashley smiled.
"Can I ask you a question in private?"
"Sure. I'll see you in our locker room baby." She looked to me and kissed me before heading down the hall with Trinity. I just headed to the locker room and got ready for my match. And while I was doing that.
"I need to ask you a favor." Trinity said.
"Okay?"
"Would you mind if I borrowed Daniel?"
"For what?"
"Well, I know that Mandy respects him and since she's been eyeing Jimmy, I was thinking as kind of a way of getting back at her, that I'd start flirting with someone she respects. And word is, is that she is somewhat jealous of you for getting to Daniel first."
"Well, as long as you don't take it too far. I think it should be fine." Ashley said.
"Thank you."

Ashley came into our locker room and I was already dressed in my ring attire."So what did Trinity want?" I asked her.
"She just wants to borrow you for a bit after tonight. Possibly film a few promos to get back at Mandy."
"Ohhh, do you want me to?" I asked her.
"I think that it would help this pointless storyline developing between Mandy and Trinity to end faster." Ashley said.
"Okay. As long as you want me to. I'll do it." I smiled as I kissed her. "And I'm sure that you know that I wouldn't dream of doing anything with Trinity, like you know. Sleep with her." I said as she got ready for the triple threat Smackdown Live Women's Title match between, her, Becky and Asuka.
"I know." She smiled. "I love you." Her match was first and I kissed her before she headed to the gorilla.

Forty minutes later...
It was a pretty close contest. At long last, Ashley set up the ladder for the twelfth time and climbed it slowly. Then reached up and started working on unhooking the title. Asuka tried to stop her only to be punched and thrown off the ladder. Becky then tried to stop her only to get a hard punch straight to her nose and she was thrown off via hurricanrana then Ash made her way up the ladder and after a minute or two the belt came loose and Ashley raised her arm in victory as the other was hurting her like crazy. So she gently made her way down the ladder and then back to the gorilla where she found me waiting for her. "How did I do baby?" She asked me.
"Just like I thought you would. Perfectly." I told her smiling as I leaned down and kissed her. "I'm proud of you my Queen."
"Thank you my King." I escorted her to the trainers office and he just wrapped her arm tightly and said she would be fine in a couple weeks time, which was fine for us as the Christmas Holiday Vacation was going to be a couple weeks long. Which is why we filmed double the tapings of Smackdown Live. And I was really looking forward to spending Christmas alone with my wife-to-be.

When my match against Shinsuke came up, Ashley stayed in our locker room and Becky and Carmella stayed with her. Once I was mentally ready for the TLC match for the US Title. I kissed Ashley before heading to the gorilla and then the ring.

Forty-seven minutes into the match...
Shinsuke and I were getting tired as we had thrown every move in our repetoire at each other and we both still wouldn't give up or give either one the opprotunity to get up to the top of the ladder. It was getting very hard to use any strategy that the other wouldn't see coming. So I decided to go off book and pretty soon I got not only the upper hand but I introduced a new move. I put Shinsuke on my shoulders in a torture rack starting position and just swung him around and and did a spinning neckbreaker. I then as quickly as I could as he just stared at the ceiling in shock, to the top of the ladder and started working on unclasping the title. He had just barely started to move again as I had unclasped the last button on the belt and it fell into my arms. I had won the US Title and I went through literal hell to do so. I was soon able to leave the ring and head back to the gorilla. Once I reached it I made my way to the trainers and when they told me I'd have a migraine for a day or two. I just dimissed it and headed to my locker room because I wanted to get back to my Queen. When I entered our locker room, Becky and Carmella were smiling. "What's up?" I asked them.
"Nothing. But Ashley has a surprise for you." Becky said.
"And you'll have to wait until Christmas to find out what it is." Ashley said coming out from the shower area covered in only a towel. "I caught the end baby. But I want you to come here and I'll give you something that should tide you over for a bit until we get back to Eagle."
"And with that we're going to go. Merry Christmas guys." Becky said as she and Leah left our locker room. I just waved as I slowly made my way to my fiancée.
"Come in here baby." She wrapped her arms around my neck and gently pulled me into the shower area and smiled evilly. "Now, what would my king-to-be like most for Christmas?"
"Aside from being married to you already?" I asked making her smile. "I'd settle for just spending the holidays with my beautifully alluring, stunning and intoxicating fiancée." I smiled as I lowered my face to her shoulder near her neck. "How about you?" I breathed gently.
"Same as you." She said breathing heavily.

One hour later, Ashley and I were already heading to the hotel and we just got our other bags from our room and caught the first flight available to Boise. When we got home which took us close to eight hours courtesy of the fact that we had to land in Idaho Falls and drive to Boise's airport and turn in the rental car and drive in our car to Eagle. And I looked over to Ashley and she was asleep and smiling. When I pulled up to our home. I gently took the bags in first and once the last one was put at the bottom of the stairs I went back out and parked the car in the garage and gently woke Ashley up. "Hey, babe. We're home." She smiled as she saw that we were in our garage.
"It's about time." She smiled.
"Come on. I got a very special present for you upstairs."
"Ohhh, baby." She smiled as she kissed me then we departed the car and I closed the garage door and we walked arm in arm up the front steps and inside the house and I locked the doors and windows as we just felt like going upstairs and going to bed. But when she sat on the bed. I went over to my suitcase and retrieved a picture and just walked over to Ashley and handed her the picture.
"Merry Christmas honey." I said.
"Ohh, are those ours?" She pointed to the picture.
"Yes, they are. I smiled as I sat next to her. She and I looked at the picture of twin Doberman Pinscher's.
"Did you name them yet?"
"Yes. But I am hoping you like the names."
"And they are?"
"Now don't shoot the messenger. I thought that it would be cool to name them Zeus and Apollo."
"Well, I think that would be okay. But If we breed them eventually. We keep a pup and I name it."
"Sounds fair."
"So where are they?"
"At the neighbors waiting to be picked up." I smiled.
"Can we go get them tomorrow?"
"I was thinking about it. But now that I see your excited to meet them. I'd say yeah. We can." I smiled as she kissed me.
"Thank you, baby."
"Your welcome honey." We changed into some spare sleep wear and just got in bed and fell asleep.
