ELEANOR EVES WAS A GENTLE BEAUTY. Perhaps there was no greater innocence than a girl from the sea, whose eyes held the ocean and hands held lives daintily in them. She was a girl who knew anatomy like it was second nature, her hands gifted enough to wield instruments many few could actually hold.

FINNICK ODAIR WAS A HOPELESS ROMANTIC. He knew very little of Eleanor Eves before he fatally met her that one summer afternoon, although after one glimpse of her blue eyes, Finnick Odair was hopelessly in love with the girl. Though, it seemed fate was marked cruelly when Eleanor's name was plucked from the Reaping bowl, her fate sealed in anguish and despair.

I will be providing descriptions of what happened in less detail at the end of triggering chapters. however, i will not be making explicit discussions on things such as prostitution or rape. they will be alluded, however i will not be outright writing the scenes due to the fact it's not it.

ALSO ADDING... there will be extremely important themes discussed in this book. of course, there will be mentions of rape and the implications it has on teenagers in such a system. this will mostly be explored through Finnick and Odette. Such topics like these require extreme sensitivity. So, i highly discourage sexualising these characters and "thirsting" over them.

Additionally, this won't be like my other finnick fic where it's immediately at the quarter quell. I want there to be a built up, going from Eleanor's games onwards. I might skip some games, although there's a large amount of subplots evolving around Eleanor and her involvement in the build up to the rebellion.

furthermore, there will be extremely important themes of homophobia and just queer issues in general. I am writing Eleanor as bisexual, Annie as a lesbian, and Odette as a lesbian. Their identities are not debatable, so you can't just go in my comments and say how you disagree and think Odette is another sexuality since she's prostituted off to men.
I am open for interpretations on finnick's sexuality since I know a lot of people have different headcanons. Thus, his identity won't be explored as much.

also, annie and finnick do not have a romance in this fic. I love them, dont get me wrong I am legit their child. but, of course there is eleanor now, and Annie is an iconic lesbian with a wonderful future girlfriend and a small crush.
