You and Elizabeth have entered the mountain and are walking down a hallway filled with pipes and cables surrounding the walls and ceiling. You continued walking down until you saw the room shifting and the floor turned into a floating platform.

You looked around and saw multiple people in capsules, showing signs of turning into those creatures that have been after you.

"Those creatures are--"

Elizabeth: "Humans? Oh my God. What is turning them into these things?"

The platform went into the next room and you saw several containers of blood being injected into bodes by needles, leaving both you and Elizabeth even more horrified.

Elizabeth: "Are they dead?"

"I don't know."

The platform then entered a room filled with screens showing yourself along with Elizabeth across several years, showcasing what you did during the months that you've known each other. All of them ended with you being possessed by the entity and being forced to kill Elizabeth against your will, before committing suicide.

"We've been doing this for decades," you said, quietly. "Why?"

You and Elizabeth are shackled by drones that flew you deeper into the base, and you got chained to poles resembling crosses. A man appeared in a black cloak and started walking towards you.

"Well, well, well," he said. "You two have arrived. This is the first time in the cycles that you two have done this. Then again, with all the energy we've been producing and those two arriving and helping, it wasn't entirely unexpected."

"Who the hell are you?"

The man pulled down his hood and revealed his face to have mutated into resembling a mask with his right face white and smooth while his left one is black and jagged.

"You may call me Vecna, your creator and the Grandmaster behind the most heartfelt and violent story across time."

"What a load of crap."

Elizabeth: "I am not related to someone like you."

Vecna: "Correct, but thanks to the wonders of genetics, I recreated the story of the forbidden lovers. The children of the Devil and the Goddess."

The entity appeared and spoke in a harsh and ominous voice.

"Let me enter the boy and kill the girl. It is too far past the end of the cycle. They must pay for ruining the glorious Holy War that would've been carried out by the Demon King and the Supreme Deity."

Vecna: "Patience, patience. It will come soon enough. Invictus is so impatient."

"How the hell do you know about that?"

Invictus: "Meliodas and Elizabeth banded together with their allies to slay the gods and break their curses to be together in their abominable matrimony. However, fragments of the gods survived and ended up in this faraway land where they crystalized. They lay dormant for centuries until a scientist discovered them and thought they would lead toward godhood. He awakened them and fused them into a single entity that remembers the injustice and feels their hatred."

Vecna: "And so a bargain was struck. I would be granted his powers of the Goddess and Demon clans, and he would get his revenge. And he knew where to find the remains of the lovers."

Invictus: "And so... A new cycle was born. The lovers would meet each other and fall in love before the boy kills her succumbs to madness, and ends himself."

Invictus created projections of the cycle of a boy and girl falling in love before meeting their ends and looking at you.

Invictus: "This is your punishment for and you allies making a fool of the gods... Meliodas."

You were left shocked, as Elizabeth looked at you.

"I... I didn't know."

Suddenly, the chains are broken by darts and someone came through the vents. Viola appears and grabs onto a cable, but slammed into a wall and fell onto a table.

"Viola?!" you and Elizabeth shouted simultaneously.

Viola: "No way I'm letting you two do this on your own."

Zeldris and Gelda burst through the ceiling and landed.

Zeldris: "Sorry we took long, but we had to deal with a bunch of pain in the ass abominations."

Vecna: "I'm just the host and spectator. This isn't my fight. Have fun, Invictus."

Invictus disappeared for a moment until everyone got transported into a strange dimension and he appears in the form of a massive creature of flesh and metal.

Viola: "Did I drop acid, or is this actually happening?"

Gelda: "This is actually happening, unfortunately."

Zeldris: "Brother... are you ready to fight?"

"Yes."

Everyone pulled out their weapons as Zeldris flew around Invictus and attacked him. You used the dark matter to form wings on your back and you flew around.

Elizabeth: "Why can't I fly?"

Gelda: "You haven't fully unlocked your powers yet. Concentrate. Let your memories come back."

Elizabeth closed her eyes as you fired several hellfire shots at Invictus. Zeldris slashed through it and Gelda threw her own fire at him.

Elizabeth regained her memories from both her own past and the Elizabeth she was made from. Her eyes now have the Goddess symbol and she sprouted wings.

She flew all around and fired several Ark orbs at Invictus.

Elizabeth: "Invictus, the cycle ends today!"

After firing a concentrated beam into his face, you stood up and focused a large amount of Dark Matter into your sword and flew straight towards him.

"This twisted game ends now."

You went through Invictus and your sword broke apart.

"NOOOOOOO!!!!" Invictus shouted while falling apart.

Everyone was then transported back to the base and saw everything wrecked. You all heard a noise going over all of you.

Zeldris: "What's that sound?"

Viola: "Those are helicopters."

Everyone ran outside and saw that Hawkins is in ruins.

"Did we cause this?" you asked.

Zeldris: "An unfortunate consequence of fighting underneath the town. What about you and Elizabeth?"

Elizabeth: "We can't sense Invictus."

Gelda: "Either he's dead, or his control over you two has been severed. Either way, you both are free."

You and Elizabeth looked at each other and started crying.

Elizabeth: "Did you hear that, Y/N? We're finally free."

"Yeah. Whatever happens next, we'll be ready."

Viola: "Guys, I got a text from my parents. The town was evacuated before the earthquake when the tornado alarm was triggered. Everyone's okay. Let's head back."

"Agreed, but we should keep what really happened a secret."

Elizabeth: "Especially Zeldris and Gelda. I don't think the world is ready yet to find out that demons exist."

Viola: "Yeah, you guys are right, but let's not worry our families any more than we already have."

Gelda: "Zeldris and I still have some business here, so we'll stick around for a few more days. Take care of any creatures that remain."

Zeldris walked up to you.

Zeldris: "It's, nice to see you free once again... Meliodas."

"My name is Y/N."

Zeldris: "Yeah, you're right. Brother."

You and Elizabeth went back to Hawkins with Viola to let your families know that you're okay.
