You and Elizabeth are in class going over history lessons. You and Elizabeth were paying attention while Viola slept through it.

Once the bell rang, Viola woke up, and you went to lunch with her and ate together.

Elizabeth: "Viola, if you keep sleeping in class, your grades won't get better."

Viola: "All Mr. Witman did is talk for an hour in class. He's 40 years old. Should he really be wasting all that breath?"

"At least read your instruction books. You just need to have good enough grades so you can enjoy summer vacation."

Viola: "I'll try. By the way, where the hell do you guys go? After school, you both disappear for hours on end. I can't seem to find you anywhere."

Elizabeth: "We... we were, uh..."

"We've been hanging out near the lake."

Viola: "The lake? Hmm, well people do often come to town to see it. And I do remember spending a lot of time there with my parents when I was a kid. So I guess it's okay. Just be careful, there have been close calls with people nearly falling in there."

Elizabeth: "We will. Don't you worry."

Later that night, you and Elizabeth found yourselves in the forest with Zeldris and Gelda. You are holding the sword he made while Elizabeth has a Stiletto blade that Gelda gave her.

"Zeldris, why are we out here without flashlights or even night vision goggles?"

Elizabeth: "Yeah, if we're hunting these things, we won't be able to see in the dark."

Zeldris: "You two need to get used to fighting without modern technology. You need to use your own strength and wits to take care of these creatures."

Gelda: "You two got lucky when your power emerged and you destroyed the one from two weeks ago. But, that was probably a weaker one."

"I had a feeling that was the case."

Elizabeth: "Do you guys hear that?"

Everyone remained silent as you rushing and growling from the bushes. You and Elizabeth moved closer and saw several of the monsters crawling around.

Zeldris: "Try to slay them. We'll intervene if it gets bad."

You and Elizabeth nodded and pulled out your weapons. You then grabbed a rock and threw it at a tree behind the monsters, distracting them long enough for you to jumps in and impales his sword through one of the creatures.

Elizabeth uses her Ark on her blade and made it glow before slicing through a monster's eyes. She then formed a ball of energy and blasted it at the creature, destroying it.

The final creature charged at the two of you as you ran toward it and sliced it in half. Zeldris and Gelda emerged from afar and looked around the area.

Zeldris: "These were only three more creatures. Who knows how many there are? But still, not bad."

Gelda: "I wonder what these things are. They're not demons or any part of the five races. Monsters went extinct centuries ago?"

You looked at one of the creatures you killed, seeing organs attached to it that heavily resemble human ones.

"Either these things devoured humans whole... or they were human."

Zeldris: "I'm afraid to say it, but it might be leaning toward the latter."

Elizabeth: "What could turn humans into these things?"

Gelda: "Something horrid, that's for sure."

You heard whispering, feeling like it's coming from the lake. As you walked towards it, Elizabeth noticed and heard the same voice.

Once you arrived at the lake, you saw that the water is black. You and Elizabeth got closer and felt something inside it. You looked and suddenly saw a frightening image of a demonic being with horns, several eyes, and a fiery appearance.

Zeldris: "Y/N, Elizabeth, we heard screaming. What happened?"

You and Elizabeth look around and saw that everything is back to normal.

Elizabeth: "We saw something."

Gelda: "What did you see?"

"What was talking to us."
