You were sparring with Zeldris in an abandoned Military facility when you locked your sword with his and felt yourself succumbing to the demonic power.

Zeldris pushed you back and knocked your weapon out.

Zeldris: "That's enough. This spar is over. Calm down."

You took some deep breaths and felt your power slowly fading away. Zeldris walked up to you and held out his hand. You took it and Zeldris helped yourself up.

"This power. Whenever I struggle, I get consumed by it."

Zeldris: "You may be a human, but your blood is that of the Demon Race's highest order. You have immense power inside of you, but I learned that you need to control it before it controls you. I say this from experience."

"Good thing I'm a stubborn learner."

Zeldris smirked.

Zeldris: "You remind me of an old friend."

"Hey, can we check up on Elizabeth?"

Zeldris: "Sure. I'm Interested in seeing how she's progressing."

You and Zeldris went into another room and saw Elizabeth practicing her "Ark" magic. She formed several orbs of energy and tried shooting them at the target, but only one hit it.

Gelda: "You managed to keep them out during your attack. We just need to work on your precision."

Elizabeth: "I only managed to hit the target, and it wasn't the bullseye."

Zeldris: "You both are still new to this. You'll learn."

"Then let's keep going."

Elizabeth: "Yeah. I can do better this time."

Gelda: "Your determination is admirable, but why don't we take a break?"

Zeldris: "I could use a drink now that I'm not in public."

Everyone sat in a break room and ate.

"I can't believe there was a military facility close to town."

Elizabeth: "I'm more worried about what caused it to be abandoned."

Zeldris: "Gelda and I checked this place. There's nothing here to worry about. I smashed the cameras as well. No one will know we're using this."

"If you say so, and is there a reason we're using swords for this?"

Zeldris: "Firearms run out of ammunition, while a blade doesn't and is as strong as its user. And a blade doesn't cause stray bullets."

"I see your point."

Elizabeth's phone rang and she checked it.

Elizabeth: "Y/N, your mom and dad are wondering where we are."

"Zeldris, we--"

Zeldris: "Go ahead. Besides, it'd be best for this non-human situation to stay a secret. Just come back when you have a chance."

"We will. See you guys soon."

Elizabeth: "Stay safe you two."

Gelda: "You both as well."

After leaving the facility, you and Elizabeth returned home and sat down on the couch just as your parents left to see their friends across the street.

Elizabeth: "Who are your parents going to see?"

"The Andersons. Nice family."

Elizabeth looked at you in concern.

"What's wrong, Elizabeth?"

Elizabeth: "You've got bags under your eyes."

"Don't worry about it."

Elizabeth: "I know you've been having nightmares. Every day."

You remained silent, afraid of what to say, while Elizabeth held your hand tightly.

Elizabeth: "Y/N, please, tell me."

You took a deep breath.

"Every time I go to sleep, I keep finding myself in an unfamiliar place. I see monsters lying dead. I look around. And then I... I... I see... I see..."

Tears started streaming down your eyes, and Elizabeth hugged you tightly.

Elizabeth: "Whatever they mean, they won't happen now. Whoever we are, we'll get through this, because I know that we'll face anything that tries to hurt us."

"Yeah, you're right Elizabeth," you said as you wiped your tears away. "I don't know if it's just a nightmare or something about our past, but I'll protect you."

Elizabeth: "I'll protect you as well."

You and Elizabeth went to your rooms and you lie down and closed your eyes. In your dreams, you heard a deep and ominous voice say "Enjoy it will you still can. You and her will meet your ends soon".

You woke up, ran out of bed, and opened your door, seeing Elizabeth outside.

"Oh. Elizabeth. What's wrong?"

Elizabeth: "I fell asleep, and I heard a voice. It was scary. It sounded Like it was coming after me. Can I stay in your room for tonight?"

"Yeah. You can."

You and Elizabeth lie down in your bed and went to sleep.
