Chapter Four: Stay
After he finished eating his breakfast, Lincoln looked around the cabin. It had some sort of charm about it and was awfully mysterious too. Which brought a lot of questions to mind:
Like who was Blair?
If he was completely honest, he would say that she is one of the prettiest women that he's ever seen. Which is saying something considering that he lived with a lot of girls who boys would instantly drool over if they ignored their faults. Speaking of which, they probably never noticed that he disappeared from the house.
"Ugh. When did my life become such a mess?" Lincoln said to himself as he flopped on the bed. Ever since he could remember, his parents told him to do whatever his sisters ask of him and like the naive kid that he was...he started to do what they ask of him. Yet he always wondered if his parents ever talked to his sisters about moderation and being there for each other. He was about to think of more instances of his family when he heard:
Is everything alright?
"Y..Yes." Lincoln said.
Good. Anyway...What do you have in mind for lunch?
"Actually. I'm wondering if I can grab my things and go." Lincoln said.
Go? Where exactly would you go?
Lincoln was about to answer, but he couldn't think of anything. Where was he going anyway? A nearby town who would question what an eleven year old was doing all by himself and most likely place him in an orphanage? Back to the town where his family can find him and drag him back to his own personal hell?
It's better for you to stay here. There is no one around who will question what you're doing and hardly no one would notice you at all.
"I see your point. But, I still want to weigh my options a bit." Lincoln said.
What options? You can't go back to Royal Woods and no town will leave you alone. Face it, this is the best and only option that you have.
"You're right. I'll stay here." Lincoln said as Blair started to walk out of the door. However, she hid herself by the side and listened as Lincoln talked to himself:
Maybe it would be best if I stayed here after all.
Blair was happy that he wanted to stay here, but that happiness quickly vanished once she heard him say:
But then again, I don't want to take advantage of her so...I should leave here while she's sleeping.
Once Blair heard that, she felt her blood boil. He was finally in her clutches and he planned to leave her. NO. He will stay here and will learn to love it. No one except his friends and grandfather cared about him and would bring him back to a life of misery.
5 HOURS LATER
Lincoln slowly walked out of his room and grabbed his things. He slowly walked towards the door...ready to start a new chapter in his life when suddenly: vines attached themselves to his arms and legs. Lincoln tried to struggle, but it only made his situation worse.
"Come on. Let go." Lincoln said before hearing footsteps coming and came face to face with Blair.
Going so soon?
Lincoln couldn't stop himself from shivering at the sound of her voice. It was almost demonic and made his blood run cold as ice. He couldn't move or talk..he would only watch as she came closer to him and said:
Foolish little boy. You will never leave here.
Hope you enjoyed the chapter...Bye 👋
