89). Forevermore, Yours.
(A/N: Before we start, I just want to say, get ready. Not sure if anyone will cry, but still prepare yourselves, brace yourselves, whatever. This is one long-ass chapter. It's the longest I've ever written. Regardless, Enjoy!)
July 9th, 1999
Lovegood Manor
Lana POV
This is it.
Today's the day.
Today is the day my brother marries the woman he loves with all his heart.
Today is the day my best friend becomes my sister-in-law.
I've been waiting years for this. This was truly exciting! I was nearly bouncing off the walls because my brother and my best friend are getting married today!
I've shipped them since they bumped into each other at Diagon Alley. I'm so proud!
Ginny, Luna, Anne, and I were at Lovegood Manor helping Hermione get ready, while Y/N and the guys spent the night at Malfoy Manor. Mum had brought Monica from her home to help with the preparations, while Wendell decided to join the boys at Malfoy Manor. Unfortunately, Teddy had to go back to Andromeda, which did make him a little upset, but Anne had calmed him down.
"Aw, it's okay, Teddy, it's okay," Anne said calmly to him as he teared up. "You'll see me again, alright, buddy? Please don't cry, for me?" And seemingly, Teddy had calmed down and held on for a while. "It's gonna be okay, sweetie." Anne softly said before pecking his forehead and carefully handing him to Andromeda.
"He must really like you," Andromeda said with a welcoming smile and rubbed Teddy's back. "He's just so sweet," Anne said. "It was nice getting to take care of him."
Anne was wearing her teal sleeveless dress already and Ginny, Luna and I have already worn our dark-blue bridesmaid dresses. We were all doing our various tasks, making sure everything on our end is ready, Hermione is ready, everything is set, etc.
"Mum, is it really necessary for all this make-up?" I heard Hermione ask in the other room. "Why, of course it is, dear!" Monica responded. "The bride needs to look her finest at her wedding!"
(A/N: Diane Lane as Monica Granger)
"Make-up is the least of my worries," Hermione said. "I'm more worried about what I'd say, or how I'd act at the altar! I'm so nervous..."
"Hermione, it is perfectly normal to be nervous," Monica said. "It's your big day, and you're getting married to the man you love."
"Is everything okay?" I asked as I walked in and I grabbed Monica and Hermione's attention. Hermione looked more elegant in the dress now, her hair was curled, make-up was done and her bouquet of flowers was sitting on a desk.
"Pre-wedding jitters is all," Monica said. "We've had them when we were getting married."
"It's all normal to feel like this, Hermione," Mum said to her. "I'm sure Y/N is thinking about these things too."
"Oh, I think Y/N would be panicking at the moment," I said before turning to Hermione. "Did you make your vows?"
"Yep." Hermione nervously said as she held up a folded piece of parchment. "I had to write them down, I feel like I might forget them. Is that okay if I read from that?" She said to the older women in the room.
"I suppose it would be," Addison said. "But if you can, maybe just improvise to get to your point, in case you don't remember."
Hermione put her vows next to her flowers and took a deep breath. "Hey, Mum, Monica?" I asked the two of them. "Do you both mind if I talk with Hermione?" The two older women looked at each other, nodded, and left the room. Before she left, Monica rubbed Hermione's shoulder and kissed her head. As the two left, I looked back at Hermione. "How are you feeling?" I asked her.
"Really nervous," Hermione muttered. "I'm getting married today, and I'm scared I might forget what to say, or what to do or-"
"Hermione!" I said, breaking her out of her rambling. "I understand, you're gonna be in front of friends and family, and that can be scary. But could I offer some advice?"
"Sure," Hermione said. "I could use some right now."
"When you're saying your vows with Y/N, just say what comes from your heart," I said. "You're going to spend the rest of your life with him, so just go with what comes from your heart."
Hermione thought a while and nodded. "You're right. I should do that." She said with a small smile. "Gosh, I can't believe it. We're finally getting married. Y/N's going to be my husband, this is the happiest day of my life!" She turned to me with a wide smile. "I've really got you to thank, Lana."
I was a little confused as to what she meant exactly. "Thank me for what, exactly?" I asked curiously, to which Hermione chuckled. "For everything!" She said. "You've wanted us to get together and you helped us both so much! With the dates in Hogsmeade, this wedding, just... everything."
I laughed a little. "Well, what more can I do for family?" I chuckled with her. "Don't answer that, cause I will for you. It's everything. You're my sister as of today, so that's why. And not to mention, you'll be Hermione Lovegood-Granger today."
"Well then, I am very proud and honored to be your sister." Hermione grinned. Then, the door was knocked on, and Anne came in. "Oh, Mum? Aunt Lana?" She asked. "Aunt Fleur's here with Gabrielle. She says Uncle Bill went to Malfoy Manor to help Dad and the boys."
"Oh, it's been a while since we've seen Fleur, hasn't it?" Hermione said as I nodded. "She's talking with Grandma, at the moment," Anne said. "Just talking and all. Gabrielle is pretty happy though, I got to talk with her a bit."
"Hang on a moment, doesn't Gabrielle speak French?" I asked. "Mostly French?" Fleur did tell us Gabrielle was learning English recently in one of her letters.
"She does," Anne said. "I learned some of the languages in school, but not any kind of sweet nicknames like the one you gave me, Aunt Lana. I like being called, 'mon ange'."
That made me smile a bit. "Well, doesn't that remind you of something, Hermione?" I grinned and looked at her, as she blushed. Anne got curious from the look of her face, but smiled and looked at Hermione. "What does it remind you of, Mum?"
"Oh, well..." Hermione smiled and looked down. "When your dad gave me this necklace for my birthday..." She said as she pulled out the very first birthday gift that Y/N had given her. I was surprised she still wore it. "You still wear it?" I asked. "That's so sweet..."
"Of course I do!" Hermione said with a big smile. "But when he put it around my neck, he said something in French to me. Vraiment mignon." She said in French while smiling.
"What did that mean?" Anne asked again.
"Really cute," Hermione answered. "And hearing him in French made me want to learn it. But I didn't know you were learning French, Anne."
"Thought it'd be a nice surprise for you, Mum." Anne smiled and left the room. We followed after her, where we found Mum and Fleur talking together about the wedding. Fleur turned her head at that moment, saw the three of us coming, smiled, and came to hug us.
"Oh, it is so good to see you all again!" Fleur said in an English accent. "Hermione, you look marvelous..." She said, looking at the bride before turning to me. "Lana, it is so good to see you again! And may I add, you look just as beautiful."
"Nice to see you too, Fleur," I said kindly to her and hugged her. "Thank you so much for coming."
"Of course I would come!" Fleur exclaimed. "My little brother is getting married to the love of his life and my sisters are the maid of honor and the flower girl!"
Hermione and I chuckled a little with her as Anne came around to Fleur. "Nice to see you again, Aunt Fleur." She said to her as Fleur turned to face her. Fleur looked at her and smiled. "So good to see you too, Anne." Fleur said to her. "I heard you talking to Gabrielle in French...?"
"Oh, yes, I was." Anne said with a little giggle. "J'ai appris des bribes quand j'étais à Poudlard."*
*I learned bits and pieces when I was at Hogwarts.*
"Ah!" Fleur said, impressed with her. "Très bien ... Je suppose que vous êtes enthousiasmé par le marriage?"
*Very good... I take it you're excited about the wedding?*
And just like that, the two of them were having a full-blown conversation in French. I was really impressed, even if Anne didn't know nicknames, she knew enough to have a conversation. "She never ceases to amaze me, my daughter," Hermione whispered to me with a proud smile. "She's learned so much."
"Patronus her first year, becoming an Animagus..." I smiled as well. "She wants to learn so much. Just like you, 'Mione."
"Well, that's true." Hermione smiled. "I am her mum, but she also has a great godmother." She whispered.
Anne POV
After talking with Aunt Fleur, all of us had gotten ready to leave for Clevedon Hall a little early. We had taken a limo there, it wasn't a very long drive there, most like twenty minutes at the most. As we arrived, the ladies took Hermione to get some last-minute things done, and they let me roam the hall. Dad, Grandpa Wendell, and the other boys hadn't arrived yet so that had given them ample time to everything to get ready.
A few familiar faces were here already, one of them being Professor Flitwick. I remember Lana asking him to be the officiate since it turns out he could legally perform the ceremony. Cedric Diggory, who was now an Auror keeping an eye in the Ministry at Fenwick, was here as well. I remember when we were at the Burrow, he told me about the time Y/N saved his life. That would have been a while before I got my Hogwarts letter at the orphanage.
Even Vito was here, he was invited with Flitwick. He's mentioned he has a daughter too, who's studying in Ilvermorny, her name was Cassie. She was being transferred to Hogwarts for her fourth year, so it would be nice to know her.
I was thinking when Aunt Lana was free, I'd ask her if she'd want to be my godmother. Hopefully, she'd say yes. But at the moment, I was looking for a certain boy I knew. Jason sent a letter saying he'd be here early with Sam, Mia, and Kieran since he was staying with them to help them with Sam and Mia's child. Either them or Axel, Nick, and Ashley.
I looked in the hall where Mum and Dad were going to be married. It looked rustic but nice. Beautiful to see a wedding in. And just as I turned my head, I found a familiar face that I was sure would definitely be Jason.
"Jason!" I said and ran to him. He turned around and smiled as I collided with him with a big hug. "You came..."
"Course I would, Anne," Jason said as he returned the hug. "My best friend's parents are getting married! Wouldn't miss it for the world." I released and saw his outfit for the wedding. "I must say, you look really nice," I admitted.
"What about you?" Jason remarked. "You look..."
"Pretty?" I guessed.
"Uh.. stunning really." Jason stammered while blushing. "You look amazing."
I blushed as well, as I looked down for a moment and back up at him. "Aw, you're too sweet," I said as I brushed my hair behind my ear.
"Hey, where'd you get that ring from?" Jason said as he eyed the ring Aunt Lana gave me.
"Oh, Aunt Lana gave it to me," I said as I unconsciously started playing with it. "She got it for my birthday. She told me how much she cared about me, even gave me a nickname... 'mon agne'."
"What does that mean?" Jason asked.
"... My angel," I said with a smile. "She told me she loves me just as much as my parents do."
"Well, that's sweet of her," Jason said. "But how have you been?"
"Oh, break's been nice," I said. "I was helping take care of my cousin, Teddy, and getting ready for the wedding today. Well, what about you?"
"Oh, it's a bit hectic with the baby coming," Jason said. "Uncle Sam's been helping Aunt Mia loads with this. They might be due around December. With a boy no less!"
"And Jason has been a big help to us," Mia said as she came around. "He's been helping us ever since we returned home. Any waking moment, he's been helping Sam. He's been helping the most out of everyone." She looked pretty with her dress, and her bump was showing a little. "I suppose you'd want to get to know your cousin when Noah comes around."
"Nice to see you again, Mia," I said as I shook her hand. "And... Noah?"
"The pleasure is all mine. Noah was what we chose for the baby." She returned with a smile before looking at Sam, who was talking with Nick, Axel, and Kieran. They were talking to Selena, Ashley, and some other people I didn't recognize.
"Oh, those two?" Mia said as she saw me looking back at them. "That one, with Sel, that's a good friend of ours, Tomas Rosewood. He's good friends with most of the boys. And that one with Ash, that's her boyfriend, Alexander. Another friend of ours, Leona Marsell, she came too, she's a player for the Holyhead Harpies."
(A/N: Ella Balinska as Leona Marsell HedaSbish)
"I assume you've known them from your time at Hogwarts?" I asked her.
"So, yes, everyone was there in our time at Hogwarts," Mia answered. "We were all friends then-"
"Oi, Jason!" Axel called him. "Who's this you're talking to?" Axel then walked over and shook Jason by the shoulders. "Didn't know you were such a ladies man! My book help?"
I giggled a little as Jason stammered. "Uh, Uncle Axel, I do not believe I am a ladies' man." He said to him. "But this is my best friend I've told you about, this is Anne. Anne Lovegood-Granger."
Axel's eyes widened as he heard my name. "Lovegood-Granger?" He asked. "I suppose you're the daughter of the bride and groom today?" I nodded my head as Axel grinned. "Nick, Ashley, and I owe your dad a lot. Saved our arses from Umbitch at the Ministry."
"Well, I'm their adoptive daughter," I confirmed. "But they treat and love me as if I am their daughter by blood. They've been great parents to me."
"You should have seen Y/N when there was this one asshole from Slytherin," Jason told Axel. "He practically scared the shit out of him just because he called Anne something he shouldn't have."
"Oh, dear..." Axel muttered. "Well, at least in our time, there were nice Slytherins like Tom, Mia, and Leona."
"Yes, at least we weren't pureblood supremacists idiots," Mia said to Axel.
"ANYWAYS!" Axel said and leaned in to whisper into Jason's ear. "Next time, right hook his arse, guarantee he'll think twice after that..."
"I'm going to have to agree with your uncle there, Jason." Mia agreed.
"Okay, I'm sure we can talk about this situation with Jason later, yes?" Sam said as he looked at Axel and Mia. "I think Sel has to tell Anne something she needs to tell her parents." He then shook hands with me and allowed Selena and the one gentleman, Tom, I believe to come forward.
"Hello," Selena said politely with a smile and held out her hand. "I don't believe I formally introduced myself. My name is Selena Raywood, I'm an Auror working with your grandmother.
"Pleasure to meet you, ma'am," I said just as politely. "You may already know, but I'm Anne Lovegood-Granger."
"Oh, yes." Selena smiled. "From what I know, your grandmother is very fond of you. She's always looking out for you in any case. But anyways..." She chuckled for a moment. "I just wanted to let you know Minister Shacklebolt has given me the duty to train your father and your aunt as Aurors."
"Really?" I asked. "What about your position at the school?"
"Well, Vito told me he will take my post while I train them," Selena said. "His daughter, Cassie, is transferring from America, so he wants to watch over her. Not the only new thing happening at Hogwarts for the term..."
"How do you mean?" I asked again.
"Well, Mr. Tomas Rosewood here," Selena said as she turned to Tom. "Is replacing Professor Slughorn as Potions teacher and Head of Slytherin House, as Slughorn has decided to fully retire."
"Pleasure to meet you." Tomas smiled as he shook my hand.
(A/N: Timothee Chalamet as Tomas Rosewood TomasGranger003 )
"Pleasure to meet you too... Professor?" I said.
"Oh, I'm not a Professor until term starts, ha-ha," Tom chuckled. "You can call me Tom for now."
"Oh, and I did forget to mention," Selena remembered. "Your mother has been recommended to help Minister Shacklebolt. He's interested in the changes she wants to bring to the Wizarding World. Now, I'd imagine you have more people to meet, so we'll let you meet them."
The two of them joined the group, as I went on to see who else had arrived.
"Ello, Anne!" A loud voice bellowed from the corner, revealing themselves as Hagrid. "Reckon yer excited for yer parents' big day, eh?"
"Oh, hello, Professor Hagrid!" I greeted him. "Yes, I'm very excited for today."
"Oh, yeh might be the 'only student to call meh, 'Professor'!" Hagrid bellowed again. "But yeh're one of me an' Newt's best students! Newt reckons yeh have got wha it takes to be a Magizoologist! Top marks in yer exams too!"
"Really? Wow..." I said, amazed. "I'm not really sure what I could do after Hogwarts, really. Maybe be an Auror like Dad? Maybe Magizoology? Again, I'm not sure."
"Well, tell yeh wha', yer jus' as brilliant as yer mum," Hagrid said softly. "I'd reckon they'd support yeh, no matter wha'. Now... I've ought to find Olympe..." I felt my eyebrows curl up as he muttered the name. Hagrid noticed my confusion as he looked back down at me.
"Olympe?" He asked. "Headmistress o' Beauxbatons Academy of Magic...? Madame Maxime?"
"I haven't heard of her, sorry, Hagrid." I apologized.
"Oh, Hagrid, Anne wasn't at Hogwarts yet before the Triwizard Tournament," I heard Aunt Lana say from behind me. "She doesn't know who Madame Maxime is."
"Oh, Lana!" Hagrid greeted her. "So good to see yeh again! Quite a special day today, always reckon they'd get together when you lot were kids!" The two continued to talk for a bit, but I felt that now was the time to ask her if she wanted to be my godmother. As Hagrid spotted a rather tall woman coming in, he quickly said goodbye and went off to join her and I plucked up the courage to ask.
"Hey, Aunt Lana?" I asked as she turned to me. "Could I talk to you about something? In private, if that's okay?" Lana's face then turned to one of concern and fully faced me. "Hey, is everything okay?" She said softly. "You alright?"
"Oh, yes, everything is fine," I said. "I just wanted to ask you something in private."
"Oh, you nearly had me scared for a moment," Lana chuckled. "But yeah, what's on your mind, honey?" She said as she brushed my hair.
"So I remembered how protective you are of me, as you are my aunt," I said.
"Of course, anyone hurts you, and I will hurt them to the ends of the earth," Lana said seriously.
"But I wanted to ask you, cause other than Mum and Dad, you're the next most important person after them along with Uncle Harry." I continued. "I get it may sound weird, as it's coming from me, but I just wanted to ask..."
"Will you be my godmum?"
Lana's face grew into a small smile as she faced me and placed her hands on my cheeks. "Anne, sweetie..." She smiled at me and rubbed my cheeks with her thumbs. Wait, what was she gonna say?
"I already am."
"Wait, wha-?" I asked wildly. "You're... already am my godmother?" Lana nodded as her smile stayed on her face. "The day when we were getting the dresses and I got the ring for you, Hermione asked me if I wanted to be your godmother. And of course, the answer was a no-brainer. So I am not only your aunt, but I am also your godmother."
"Really?" I still couldn't believe it.
"Really," Lana said. "You're like my daughter too, you know."
And then I ran into her to hug her. I pressed herself against her chest and tightly wrapped my arms around her. I felt one of her hands on my back and one of her hands on my head and she rubbed my back.
"Thank you," I muttered into her chest. "Thank you so much, Aunt Lana. I love you."
"Aw, I love you too, mon ange," Lana said and kissed my forehead. "And I will be the best godmum you'll have." She ruffled my hair a little like how Dad would as I giggled. "Now, come on," Lana said assuringly. "We have to make sure everything is ready."
"I wonder where Dad is?" I asked.
Harry POV
July 9th, 1999
Malfoy Manor
While the ladies were at Lovegood Manor, we were at Malfoy Manor to spend the night. All of us boys, plus Hermione's dad, who Ron and I got to meet for the first time, were all now preparing our part for the wedding.
Ron, Fred, and George were ready in some good robes but were bickering about like they always do, and Bill was confused about what each of his brothers was doing. "God, why must they be like this..." Bill muttered.
On the other hand, Wendall, Draco, and I were helping Y/N get ready. But he was really nervous. "Oh god, what do I do?" He muttered nervously. "What do I say? What if I put it on the wrong finger?"
He rambled on and on, fingers tense on his forehead, and rubbed his temples. "Y/N..." Wendall said, but Y/N droned on.
"Oh, god, what if I mess up with the words?"
"Y/N?" Draco asked, but still droned on.
"My vows! Do I remember the vows!?"
"Y/N!" I yelled.
"What!?" He said. I slapped him back to reality. "What the hell was that for?" He asked as he shook it off.
"You were rambling on," I said calmly.
"Sorry..." Y/N apologized as he placed his hands on his forehead. "I just don't want to forget anything important! It's my wedding for god's sake!"
"Y/N, listen," Wendall said to him as he placed his hands on his shoulders in a fatherly way. "I was just like you at my own wedding. Nervous, scared half to death, Doubting myself, but trust me, that's only for now. I know you won't mess your words up, cause you've told my daughter how much you truly love her. And your vows, just say them from the heart, son."
(A/N: JR Bourne as Wendell Granger)
Y/N nodded nervously, and Wendall saw that he was calming down. "Just take some deep breaths, son." He advised him. "You're going to be okay."
"Thank you for that," Y/N said after he took his breaths. "Okay... I guess I have everything down then..." He looked at his suit. "Even the stupid tie... Anne has the rings as she's the ringbearer... are the other boys ready?" He asked us.
"Aside from the Weasleys' bickering and Bill's annoyance..." Draco said. "I'd say we are."
"Just a question..." Wendall asked. "How many of them are there?"
"The Weasley's have seven children," I answered. "Well... they used to have seven. One of them, Percy... died in the Battle of Hogwarts. Saved his family. Now it's just Bill, Charlie, Fred, George, Ron and my girlfriend Ginny. Charlie said he couldn't make it, he's busy with the dragons."
"Oh," Wendall said as he looked down. "My condolences for their loss." Y/N and I looked at Ron and the twins continuing their bickering as Bill watched. "At least Percy could be there in spirit." He said. "So... should we get going?"
"Let's, please," Bill said as he came in. "Ron and the twins are bickering so much. Fleur must be wondering where we are, but Y/N most importantly. She's been so excited for her little brother's wedding."
"Sorry, what?" Wendall asked in a confused manner and looked to Y/N. "I thought Lana was your only sister. I'm quite confused." Y/N chuckled a little and put his hand on Wendall's shoulder.
"Well... it's complicated." Y/N said at first. "Lana is my biological twin sister, yes. Fleur, on the other hand, treated us like her own siblings when she was a Triwizard Tournament champion along with us. She found me when I was hurt and got me to the hospital wing, she's looked out for me like Lana has, hell, she even saved my life in the maze from Krum!"
"Woah, alright, Y/N?" Wendell said to him as he looked in his direction. "After this wedding, I have to learn about the rest of the in-laws..."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"About time you lot showed up!" Kieran said as we arrived at Somerset. He was standing outside with Nick and Aidan Korff, so I assume the other Misfits were inside in the hall.
"Well, nice to see you lot again too." Y/N sarcastically said to them. "Looking quite dapper today, aren't we?"
"The occasion called for it, mate." Nick chuckled and shook Y/N's hand. "Congrats, mate. How've you been, Harry? Ron?" He asked us.
"Better, I'd say." I smiled and shook his hand. "It's my brother's wedding day."
"I'd say we all have been waiting for this day," Ron added. "Lana's said she planned it for years and she now had the chance with Anne."
"Been hectic with us," Kieran said. "Helping Sam and Mia with Noah coming soon, the Library, managing sales-"
"I'm Noah's godfather!" Nick exclaimed. "And I'm gonna be the best I can. Hopefully, Axel won't tell him those terrible flirts. No offense to him."
"And I made up with my ex, Summer," Kieran said. "We're on good terms again, and she's my date to the wedding."
(A/N: Malase Jow as Summer)
"Dad!" We heard Anne call out as she ran into Y/N to hug him and Lana followed after her. "You ready?" She asked him.
"I hope so, pup," Y/N said to her and kissed her forehead. "I've waited so long for this day."
Lana walked over to me, Ron, and Wendell as Anne and Y/N were talking. "Good to see you again, Wendall," Lana said as she shook his hand. "Glad to be here, Lana," Wendall replied and turned to Anne. "Hello, sweetie." He said to her as Anne smiled.
"Hi, Grandpa Wendell." Anne greeted him with a hug. "Good to see you again."
"Today, I officially become your grandfather, don't I?" Wendell said to her. "I do wish your grandfather, Langden, was here to see it."
"He is." Lana smiled. "I know he's watching this with Aunt Lily, Uncle James, Remus, Sirius, Dumbledore, everyone."
"How's it going with everything right now, sis?" I asked Lana as she hugged me.
"Well, so far, so good." She replied as she hugged and kissed Ron. "Anne knows I'm her godmother now. Hermione's had the jitters, but she's alright now." She then turned to her brother. "How are you feeling, Bro?"
"I was nervous," Y/N admitted. "But I feel more confident. Thanks to Mr. Wendell Granger here."
"Good, but we do have to get you ready," Lana said as she took Y/N. "The ceremony's about to start!"
She turned back to us. "Harry, you come with us, you're best man. Ron, Love, you take Draco and find Neville, he's getting prepped with Luna. Wendell, I'll take you to Hermione, of course, to walk her down the aisle."
Y/N POV
Lana took Harry, Anne and I to a room to prepare, and after which, she took Wendell to Hermione. Harry had checked with Ginny quickly while Anne stayed with me. She could see the nervousness on my face as I started to get fidgety with my tie.
"Dad, is everything okay?" Anne asked me as I sat down.
"Hm?" I asked as I looked up to see my daughter. "Oh..., well if I'm being honest, I'm excited but I'm nervous at the same time."
"I mean, it is your wedding," Anne said. "And you're marrying Mum today, so I'd expect you're excited."
"Yes!" I said with a happy smile. "I'm spending the rest of my life with the woman I love as my wife and our incredible, brilliant daughter. You have the rings, right, pup?"
"I sure do," Anne replied as she held the two rings in her hands.
"Good." I smiled at her and brushed her hair a little. "You look wonderful today, honey."
"I can say the same for you and Mum," Anne said. "Just wait till you see her walk down the aisle with Grandpa Wendell. She looks so beautiful."
"I'll take your word for it." I chuckled and hugged her. "Thank you so much, Anne."
"For what, Dad?" Anne said with a chuckle.
"Everything," I said. "You've made me a proud father and I want to continue being your proud dad. You've done so much for our family, and I know they're proud to say that you're their niece, goddaughter, daughter, cousin, sibling, granddaughter, anything. They're all proud that you're a part of our family. Even on our Horcrux hunt, you've never slipped from our minds, even before you became our daughter."
"I love you so much," I said as she continued to hug me and I felt tears from the both of us. "Pardon me, today is just so emotional as it is," I said as I wiped both our tears and kissed her forehead. "I'm just so grateful you're in our lives, Anne."
"Me too, dad," Anne said as she hugged me again quickly.
"Y/N!" Professor Flitwick said as he walked into the room. "So good to see you again! Many congrats to you and Miss Granger today."
"Oh, Professor Flitwick, good to see you!" I said as I shook his hand. "But how come you're in this room?"
"No need for formalities, you aren't a student anymore." Flitwick brushed off. "Filius is alright with me. As for why I'm officiating your wedding. I can legally officiate a wedding."
"Wow... I didn't know that about you, Filius."
"Despite my short stature, I am full of surprises." Flitwick joked. "But now, Mr. Potter, or Harry as I should refer to him now, and the groomsmen are waiting for you. I shall take you to them."
Flitwick led us to the hall, where many people we knew had watched me walk to my spot. But what pulled my attention was the many chairs that were empty. For example, there was one next to Mum, One near Uncle Xeno, A couple off in the corner, two seats next to Aunt Andromeda and Teddy. There was even a seat in between Bill and the twins.
"Oh, about those," Harry whispered in my ear. "Those are for everyone we lost. That spot near Mum's for Langden, that one there is your Aunt Pandora, there's my mum and dad, with Remus and Sirius, and those two are Tonks and your uncle Ted. Of course, that one's for Percy."
"Whose idea was this?" I asked curiously.
"Oh, this was Luna's," Harry whispered. "She thought they would be here to see this day."
Luna was on the bridesmaid's side with Ginny and Lana and smiled at me as she saw me look around at the empty chairs scattered across the hall. 'Thank you, Lu.' I said in her head as I made eye contact with my cousin. 'Thank you so much.' Luna smiled back at me and nodded.
(A/N: Happy Birthday to Luna Lovegood! we love you, you precious Ravenclaw Queen.)
Anne was off on the Bridesmaid's side while Flitwick had himself on the stand so he could address us both at eye level. And just when I knew it, Gabrielle came through the doors with a basket of flower petals and an elegant dress. As she walked down, she spread the flower petals on her left and right as people awed as the bride was due to come next.
(A/N: I do apologize, I've never been to any of these kinds of weddings, so I'm going off what I remember from TV or movies or from the wedding receptions in my culture.)
I could feel the beads of sweat dripping down my forehead, but I took a couple of deep breaths and wiped it off, preparing myself for what to come next.
And that's when she came in.
Hermione Granger.
She was walking down the aisle with her father, but she looked more beautiful and elegant than ever before. Her gown had floral patterns spreading from the leg to her chest. Her shoulders were exposed, but the dress continued to her elbow and a veil extended from there. Her hair was curled and she wore the biggest smile on her face. Wendell was already crying with tears of happiness, and from where I was standing, Monica was too.
The two stopped, and Hermione turned and kissed her father's cheek before she got to her spot and faced me. "You look beautiful," I whispered to her.
"And you are incredibly dashing," Hermione whispered with a smile.
"I ask that everyone remain seated," Flitwick announced to the guests as they put their attention on him. "First, I'd like to begin by welcoming everyone and thanking each and every one of you for being here today, and each of you was invited to be here because you represent someone important in the individual and collective lives of Y/N and Hermione."
"I can't think of a better venue than this hall for an occasion that so many of us have seen from the beginning." Flitwick continued on. "All of us are lucky to know and love them as individuals, but more as a perfect pairing. And for these two, they share a bond so special that they don't want to live a second without the other by their side. I knew this day would come for the two of them, as I thought them in their first year."
"Ever since their encounter in their first year and beyond, I knew these two would have a future with each other. They balance each other and they're better together as partners in crime, as they say." This earned some laughter from the guests. "There are so many stories that I could say, but I'll let them explain on their own time. I wish for them on their wedding day that their life together as a team is one of complete contentment; full of those moments that they wish would never end, and that they continue to make one another smile and laugh as they make each of us do. So, without further ado..."
"The vows..." He said as he looked at both of us. "Dearly honored and beloved guests: We are gathered together to join Y/N Lovegood and Hermione Granger in the union of marriage. This contract is not to be entered into lightly, but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. The groom and bride have each prepared vows that they will read now."
I coughed to clear my throat and looked up to Hermione. "Do you remember the day we first met? All those years ago in Diagon Alley? I never knew it at the time, but I knew you were the right one for me. You became my best friend, my companion, and my soulmate. You kept me happy, smiling and laughing every day. We both had our traumas but had made us stronger over the years. I give you this ring today as a sign of my love that it will be forever, eternal and never-ending, like the shape of this ring."
Everyone clapped as Hermione smiled brightly. She took a deep breath and began to speak. "How lucky am I to call you to mine? Your love and trust make me a better person, each and every day. Even when you found that I was Muggle-Born, you've always been there for me. You made me feel loved, you made me feel comfortable around you, you made me cherish every moment I had and will have with you. For all those times that we've been together, there's always been a mutual understanding that's only shared when two people love each other truly. You were there for my greatest challenges. You encouraged me to grow. You helped me believe in myself and become the person that I am today. In your arms and by your side, I know I can do anything. I'm proud to call you my husband."
Everyone clapped once again before Flitwick silenced them again. "And now... Y/N, do you take Hermione to be your wife?"
"I do," I said without moving my head. I stayed transfixed on Hermione's joyful smile.
"Do you promise to love, cherish, and protect her, forsaking all others, and holding only onto her forevermore?"
"I do," I repeated again.
"And Hermione," Flitwick turned to her. "Do you take Y/N to be your husband?"
"I do." Hermione's smile widened as she spoke.
"Do you promise to love, honor, cherish, and protect him, forsaking all others, and holding only onto him forevermore?"
"I do," Hermione repeated again.
Flitwick turned to Anne and nodded with her, and Anne walked up with the rings and handed them to us as Flitwick spoke to the crowd. "Y/N and Hermione will now exchange rings as a symbol of love and commitment to each other. Rings are a precious metal; they are also made precious by you wearing them. Your wedding rings are special; they enhance who you are. They mark the beginning of your long journey together. Your wedding ring is a circle-a symbol of love never-ending. It is the seal of the vows you have just taken to love each other without end."
"Y/N, please place the ring on Hermione's left hand and repeat after me... as a sign of my love."
"As a sign of my love..."
"That I have chosen you..."
"That I have chosen you."
"Above all else..."
"Above all else."
"With this ring, I wed thee..."
"With this ring, I wed thee," I said as I slid the ring on Hermione's left ring finger.
"Now, Hermione," Flitwick said to her. "Please place the ring on Y/N's left hand and repeat after me... as a sign of my love..."
"As a sign of my love."
"That I have chosen you..."
"That I have chosen you."
"Above all else..."
"Above all else."
"With this ring, I wed thee."
"With this ring, I wed thee," Hermione said as she slid my ring onto my finger.
"And now by the power vested in me by Merlin, it is my honor and delight to declare you married. Go forth and live each day to the fullest." Flitwick smiled. "You may now kiss the bride."
And just as he said it, I pulled Hermione's body to mine as she wrapped her arms around my neck and we kissed with so much passion, like we never had before. As we were kissing, everyone rose to their feet and clapped, but I could tell Harry, Lana, Anne, and Mum were the loudest.
"I love you," I whispered to her as we pressed our foreheads together and she smiled at me.
"I love you more." She said to me. "Now I'm finally your wife."
"I'm finally your husband," I said before kissing her again.
After the whole ceremony, Lana had told us it was now time for the wedding photos. Our guests had gone to the venue to talk with the other guests, but our parents and family members could stay for the photos. First, Hermione and I had our photos.
We had to have a number of poses, such as both of us looking in front of the camera, one where I'm hugging Hermione from behind, one where we're kissing, and one of my favorites, holding Hermione bridal style. I think that was her favorite too.
After that, we had a full family photo, with Hermione's parents on her side, and Mum, Lana, Luna, Harry on my side. Anne was in between Hermione and me and we both had our hands on her shoulders. I had a picture with my groomsmen afterward while Hermione had one with her bridesmaids.
After photos, it was time for our first dance as a married couple. We entered the venue as the music began to play, a song I recognized as "Love Story" by a recently new American Musician.
(A/N: YES, I KNOW... Love Story by Taylor Swift didn't release until the late 2000s. I liked it enough for it to be a wedding song. Same situation with "All of Me" by John Legend.)
As the music began, I held my hand out to my wife, and she smiled as I said, "May I have this dance, Hermione Lovegood-Granger?"
Hermione took my hand and said, "You may have every dance with me forever, Y/N Lovegood."

We were both young when I first saw you
I close my eyes, and the flashback starts
I'm standing there
On a balcony in summer air
See the lights, see the party, the ball gowns
See you make your way through the crowd
And say "Hello"
Little did I know...
That you were Romeo, you were throwing' pebbles
And my daddy said "Stay away from Juliet"-
And I was crying on the staircase
Begging you, "Please don't go"
And I said
"Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone
I'll be waiting; all that's left to do is run
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story, baby, just say yes.
The dance was perfectly elegant for the both of us, moving in sync, like how we did when practicing for the Yule Ball. So hard to believe after 4 years of being together, we would be here on our wedding day. Hermione kept smiling at me as we kept dancing on the dance floor.
So I sneak out to the garden to see you
We keep quiet, 'cause we're dead if they knew
So close your eyes
Escape this town for a little while
'Cause you were Romeo, I was a scarlet letter
And my daddy said, "Stay away from Juliet"
But you were everything to me
I was begging you, "Please don't go," and I said
Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone
I'll be waiting, all there's left to do is run
You'll be the Prince and I'll be the Princess
It's a love story baby just say, "Yes"
Romeo, save me, they're trying to tell me how to feel
This Love is difficult, but it's real
Don't be afraid, we'll make it out of this mess
It's a love story, baby, just say "Yes"
Hermione kept looking at me lovingly, and I couldn't help but share the same feeling. As we were dancing, she brushed my cheeks and looked directly into my eyes. Hermione had such lovely eyes. Those beautiful brown orbs I could get lost in every day. And I'd get to watch those beautiful eyes open every morning for the rest of my life.
I got tired of waiting
Wondering if you were ever coming around
My faith in you was fading
When I met you on the outskirts of town
And I said, "Romeo, save me, I've been feeling so alone
I keep waiting for you but you never come
Is this in my head? I don't know what to think"
He knelt to the ground and pulled a ring, and said
"Marry me, Juliet, you'll never have to be alone," I sang and whispered to her as the song continued at the same time. "I love you, and that's all I really know. I talked to your dad, go pick out a white dress. It's a love story, baby, just say "Yes"."
Everyone clapped as Hermione and I kissed one more time before taking our seats and the food was served.
Hermione POV
Y/N and I sat down at our table where Lana, Mum, Dad, Addison, Anne, and Harry were sitting and we had our dinner. As we ate, everyone at the table made some small talk before we made our rounds.
"So what are you two going to do now that you're married?" Mum asked us. "Any plans?" Y/N and I looked at each other and our hands were intertwined together. "Well, we were thinking of our honeymoon," Y/N said as he looked at his now mother-in-law. "France was what we were thinking."
"Oh, Wendell, dear, remember when we went to France years ago?" Mum asked Dad with a gleeful smile. "Hermione told us she wanted to go there with Y/N, she couldn't stop talking about him!"
Oh, no. I forgot about that...
"Oh, yes, I do!" Dad chuckled. "You told us so much about him, and we were so excited when we got that letter from him. But they don't call France "the city of love" for nothing."
"Are we going to have another grandchild soon?" Mum eagerly whispered to me. "Mum!" I whispered. "We just got married! We do plan on having children, just at the right time."
"I wouldn't mind having another granddaughter..." Mum grinned a little. "But all on your own time, of course. Just enjoy France as a married couple." Dad started to have his thinking face, and then asked, "Wait, who will take care of Anne?"
"Oh, about that..." Y/N chuckled a little. "We actually asked Lana... to be Anne's godmother. So I suppose Anne would enjoy having time with her aunt and her godmother."
"I would miss you both, though," Anne said. "But I want you to enjoy it too." I put my hand on hers and looked her in her eyes. "And you will always be on our minds, sweetie," I said sweetly and kissed her forehead.
"But hey, we'll have fun together, yeah?" Lana asked her with a soft smile. "I think I have a few ideas, maybe we get to go around London with your mum and dad's permission?" Anne smiled and turned to us, hoping that we would say, "Yes" and her smile grew as we both nodded.
After Y/N and I finished up, we made our rounds to friends and family. We talked with the Weasleys, and Mrs. Weasley was so emotional, telling us how happy she was that we finally tied the knot. She got so emotional to the point she was nearly sobbing, until Ginny and Mr. Weasley had to calm her down.
"Molly, dear, it's okay." Mr. Weasley said softly to her. "We're all happy they got married today."
"Of course it was, Arthur!" Mrs. Weasley sobbed. "The vows, the ceremony, the dance, it was all -- sniff-- so beautiful!"
"You'll be alright, Mum." Ginny comforted her mother and then turned to us. "Congratulations! I still cannot believe you're married now!" She cheered as she hugged both of us. "Oh, that reminds me, Fred and George left quite a lot of presents, so I do wish you luck with those."
"Right, we did, sister!" Fred said from behind her. "The lovely couple does deserve it, don't you George" George joined his twin as well. "Indeed they do, Fred."
After talking with the twins, we went around to every table. All of the Misfits, along with Selena, Tom, Leona, and Luke had all wished us the best of luck, and Selena told us she told Anne about something she needed to tell us, I suppose we'd have to ask her later.
Professor McGonagall was the proudest I've seen her, and she engulfed Y/N in a hug. This must have had to be the first time I saw McGonagall hug someone out of her own will. We eventually finished our rounds and headed back to our table, where Harry had stood up with his glass in one hand and his fork in the other. He must be ready with his speech.
Harry clinked his glass with his fork and grabbed everyone's attention. "Good evening, everyone." He smiled as everyone looked at him. "It is an absolute honor and pleasure to be here as Y/N's best man here today. When I first met Y/N on the Hogwarts Express so many years ago, he became one of my best friends in my first year. With Hermione, she became one of my best friends around the same time. But I'm sure we can all say that we were all hoping these two would get together."
Everyone laughed at Harry's joke as he grinned himself. "Y/N's been one of the people who I've come to greatly care about in my years at Hogwarts. And I'm forever grateful to him for changing my life. I didn't think he'd just be my best friend over the years, He became the closest thing I've ever had to a brother. Saved me from that house all those years ago. And I'm so happy he and Hermione will share their lives together and start a family. You both are each other's beloved, and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness."
Y/N had teared up and quickly stood up to walk to Harry and hugged him like a brother. Harry had gladly allowed for the embrace and the two continued to hug like brothers. Harry smiled at me and whispered, "I'm so happy for you both."
"My turn," Lana smirked as she now stood up. Harry nodded and let her take the stage, and everyone put their attention on her. "Good evening, everyone." She announced to the crowd of our guests. "Thank you all for coming today, friends, family, all new members of the family. You all may know me as Lana Lovegood, Y/N's twin sister, but I am also one of Hermione's best friends, met her the same time my brother did in Diagon Alley eight years ago."
"And ever since that fateful day my brother and my now sister-in-law literally walked into each other, I saw the spark these two would make with each other." Lana continued. "And at the same time he became best friends with her, so did I. I was the only one who knew about the other fancing each other, and I was practically playing Matchmaker, trying to get them together."
Everyone chuckled at her joke, especially us at the table. Addison could barely hold it together and Anne was giggling so much. "And the minute I heard they'd gotten together, wedding bells were practically ringing in my head. And here we are now, Y/N and Hermione, here today, and married at last. Y/N, I'm so proud of you here today and I'm so proud to call you my brother." Y/N smiled at his sister as tears were coming out of our eyes and Lana had turned to me, smiling at me. "And Hermione, I couldn't be happier to honor my best friend today. You're not just my best friend anymore, you're also my sister."
"I wish you both loads of love on your special day today," Lana continued and wiped the tears out of her eyes. "I know you will share the best moments of your lives together and your love will eternally burn bright for years to come. A toast, ladies and gentlemen..." She said as she raised her glass. "A toast to my brother and my best friend."
"Cheers!" Every voice in the hall rose up and took a sip of their respective drinks.
"We now ask the bride, groom, and their parents to the dance floor for the family dances." The MC boomed through the hall. Dad rose from his seat, and I took his hand to the dance floor. Addison came later with Y/N and danced separately from us. I recognized the music as "River Flows in You" By Yiruma, a classical piano masterpiece.
(A/N: Well, what are you waiting for? START THE SONG, DAMN IT!)
https://youtu.be/zwJQE0HkYZw
"You look wonderful, kitten," Dad whispered to me as we were dancing. "You're very lucky to have Y/N in your life."
I giggled as he spun me around and faced him. "I really am," I said to him. "He's an amazing father to Anne, a great brother to Lana and Harry, a wonderful son to Addison, and an overall amazing husband."
"You've grown up so fast," Dad said happily. "Please don't forget about your mum and I."
"Course I won't, Dad." I smiled. "Y/N and I would love for you and Mum to get to meet your grandchildren. And I think Mum will get her wish for another granddaughter."
The dancing continued on, and I smiled at Addison and Y/N. From the corner of my eye, I could see Mum crying tears of happiness and Anne was comforting her. "Anyone who would wish to join the married couple on the dance floor may now do so." The MC said again.
I switched to Y/N as the couples had joined us on the dance floor. And from the Misfits table, as everyone stood up to dance, I saw Jason take a deep breath, stand up, and looked toward our table.
"Hey, Love," I said to Y/N, who turned to me. "Yes, darling?" He asked me. "Look, I think Jason wants to ask a certain someone to dance..." I said.
"Is he going to ask our daughter to dance?" Y/N asked concerned for her. "Dear, he's her best friend," I said to him and kissed him. "Besides, I trust him around her."
"Well, if you trust him," Y/N said. "I suppose I can too. But I'll be watching, just to be sure."
3rd POV
Jason had stood up from the table his aunts and uncles and took a deep breath. His uncle Axel had guessed that he wanted to dance with Anne, and Jason thought he would pluck up the courage to ask her to dance. He had told his Aunts Ashley and Mia, and the two seemed excited he was, so the two were watching as they were dancing with their dates.
Jason took the steps toward the wedding party's table, where Lana and Ron and Harry and Ginny had gone dancing, and Wendell and Monica Granger stayed at the table for a while with Anne and Addison. Speaking of which, the Headmistress of Hogwarts noticed the young Gryffindor approach the table and stood up to greet him.
"Jason! So good to see you again." Addison said as Jason shook her hand.
"Good to see you too, Headmistress," Jason said politely in his American Accent. Addison made a 'pfff' sound and chuckled. "Oh, dear, you don't have to call me Headmistress outside of Hogwarts, you may call me Addison. I do hope you're enjoying the wedding?"
"Oh, of course!" Jason replied with a smile. "It's all been very beautiful, don't get me wrong."
"Jason!" Anne said and hugged him. Addison just smiled as she watched what was going on. "I want to show you some people." She said as she took him over to where Monica and Wendell, where they grew interested in who their granddaughter was bringing.
"Jason, there are my mum's parents," Anne said as Wendell and Monica looked at the boy. "This is my Grandma Monica, and this is my Grandpa Wendell." The two Grangers smiled and introduced themselves. "So how do you know our granddaughter?" Monica asked.
"Oh, she's my best friend," Jason replied as he shook Monica's hand. "I met her when I transferred after the Battle of Hogwarts."
"It was his first year here at Hogwarts," Anne explained to her grandparents. "But he's been there for me at my Quidditch games with Mum and Dad, he's helped me with a certain project I wanted to try, and we've been to Hogsmeade together."
"Well, that's quite nice then," Wendell said before his brows curled. "Wait, you play Quidditch like your dad?"
"Well, anyway, we are going to join your mum and dad on the dance floor," Monica said to her granddaughter before her husband could question that his granddaughter participates in the same sport her father plays. "We hope you both would join us." Monica then pulled Wendell to the dance floor, while Anne watched her grandparents dancing, while Jason gulped.
"Heh-heh, about that..." Jason said nervously as Anne turned to him. "Yes?"
"Well, I wanted to a-ask -- not a p-problem if you don't want to --," Jason stuttered a little. He really thought Anne looked pretty today. "But-but would you like to dance with... me?"
Jason looked down as he thought that she would have said "no", but Anne had a feeling he would have asked her. She took his hand and said, "I would love to dance with you."
Jason looked up quickly, quickly enough to hurt his neck and his eyes widened as Anne giggled at his expression. "Come on, silly," Anne said. "Let's go and dance." She took his hand and pulled him to the dance floor. Little did they know, Axel Leroy-Smith was watching in the distance.
"You see that, lads!" He called the other Misfits. "My nephew's having his first dance!"
"Yesh!" Ashley said as she saw where Axel was pointing.
"Axel's gonna egg him if he fancies Anne, isn't he?" Sam asked the others.
"Oh yeah," Nick said.
"Most definitely." Kieran and Luke added.
"Without question," Mia retorted.
"What are they talking about?" Tom asked Selena. "Oh, just that Axel thinks Jason fancies Anne at the moment," Selena responded. "I mean, there could be a possibility."
"I think it's quite cute," Leona added. "He's looking out for his nephew."
As the music kept playing, the two Gryffindors entered the floor as Anne faced Jason. "Um, it is a bad time to say I don't really know much about dancing?" Jason asked her. "I only know a few things." He added sheepishly. "Well, that's alright," Anne replied sweetly. "Just put your hands at my waist while I put mine on your shoulders."
"Your-- your where?" Jason said nervously as he felt sweat beat from his head.
"My waist," Anne repeated. "It's okay to be nervous, you're learning as we go."
Jason put his hand at Anne's waist and Anne put her hands at his shoulders and they began to dance. Midway through their dancing, they found they were dancing in sync with each other, making Lana notice. She knew she had to ask Anne. And she saw that they were dancing together like how Y/N and Hermione had at the Yule Ball.
Lana could see the similarities between that day and today.
"Well, you're not bad for someone who learned to dance on the fly." Anne teased as the music came to an end and everyone went back to their seats.
"Oh, thanks." Jason shyly thanked her. "You were really good."
"The ballroom at Lovegood Manor helps." She said. "But really, you were great. Even without practice! I'm proud of you."
And Jason never expected it. It came to him like a shock, like static electricity coming from a balloon being rubbed on hair.
But Anne had kissed his cheek.
Both of them were blushing like mad, and Anne giggled a little. "I'll s-see you later, right?"
"Y-yeah," Jason said as a smile appeared on his face. "Yeah, I'll see you later."
The wedding had come to a close as Y/N and Hermione were preparing to cut their wedding cake. The two cut into the cake and Y/N had gotten some of the frostings on his face as the married couple fed each other some cake. Hermione had taken notice of the stray piece and wiped it off for him while placing a kiss on his lips.
As the hours passed by, the guests took their leave, but not before wishing the married couple good luck and well wishes for the future. Soon enough, Monica and Wendell had to leave too, but before they did, they wished Hermione their love and best wishes to her. The hall became empty and soon, the wedding party had cleaned up and left whilst thanking the staff for their accommodations.
But that wasn't the only thing happening that night...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After the wedding, one man had to go immediately. He was waiting for something.
No, not something.
Someone.
Vito Nightshade, the new Auror around Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was on his way to the airport. But before he left the wedding, he wished the couple well and made sure to leave them a present. As he apparated to a busy part of town, he managed to call a Muggle cab to him.
"Where to, mate?" The cab driver asked him.
"Bristol Airport, please," Vito said politely to him.
"Oh, you're an American!" The cab driver exclaimed. "I got you, laddie. Expecting someone?"
"Oh, yes." Vito smiled to himself. "I can't wait to see her again."
"Someone special to ya?"
"You have no idea. Light of my life, that one."
The cab driver understood and drove on to Bristol Airport. On the way, Vito looked into his wallet to see a picture he had always kept on him. He made it a reminder to look at the picture daily. "I can't wait to see you again-"
"We're here!" the cab driver exclaimed as Vito looked up from his photo. He didn't even notice how long it took. "Ah, that will be 30 Quidd."
"Seems expensive," Vito said as he paid the man.
"Welcome to England, mate." The cabbie chuckled. "Have a good night." Vito was in front of Bristol Airport, and he checked the letter he received a few weeks ago with a copy of a plane ticket. He explored the airport, looking for the right terminal, while also chugging the good old midnight fuel, also known as coffee.
Soon enough, the plane he was waiting for arrived. Vito stood up and waited, excited to see the person he was waiting for so long. It had been so long since he had seen her, this person was staying with her relatives in America while attending Illvermony.
Person after person, he waited for the person. He knew when she would attend Hogwarts, she would get along with a certain girl and boy there. He looked around nervously until...
"Dad?"
After hearing that familiar voice, Vito's face turned to a smile and turned to face his daughter, Cassiopeia. "Hey, Cassie," Vito said happily. Cassie had smiled too and hugged her father. "I've missed you so much," Cassie muttered.
"I missed you too, jelly bean," Vito said happily. "I'm sorry you had to come here on short notice, I just wanted to make sure you were safe."
"That's understandable," Cassie said as they left the Airport. "Grandpa and Grandma were worried though."
"Of course, they were." Vito chuckled. "But... I do think you're gonna like Hogwarts."
"And I know you'd make some good friends there too."
(A/N: Olivia Rodrigo as Cassiopeia "Cassie" Nightshade.)
