86). A Normal Bachelor/Bachelorette Party
Lana POV
After Mum's talk with us and the new Auror helping here, Vito Nightshade, I went with Y/N to see Hermione and Anne in their dorm.
"How's my niece doing?" I asked Y/N on the way to the Gryffindor Common Room.
"She's doing good." He said with a smile. "Anne wanted to practice some moves for Quidditch the next time we have a game. Hopefully with her Christmas present, she'd be amazing on the pitch."
During Christmas, Y/N had surprised her with a Firebolt that he and Harry got for her, and he had gotten one as well. Hermione was surprised about the present, but Y/N managed to calm her down and convince her since Anne was using a school broom. I mean, it was time she needed one of her own.
"Also, I heard that yelling match with you and Narcissa." I said, a little concerned. "What happened?"
"Oh... about that." Y/N sighed and looked at me. "She was offering her apologies to us for what they did to us."
"You mean unleashing the horrors of the Chamber of Secrets?" I asked. "Students getting petrified, the Basilisk petrifying them and threatening to expose us?"
"Yeah, that." Y/N scoffed. "The audacity of Narcissa to say that. I told her as long as she was in Lovegood Manor, she stays away from Anne. The last thing Anne needs is one of her kidnappers around her."
"Wow... you really care for her a lot, don't you, brother?" I asked.
"Course I do." He said. "She's my daughter. She may not be my daughter by blood, but I care for her as if she were my own flesh and blood."
"We all care for her, Y/N." I said assuring as I placed my hand on his shoulder. "She's been my niece for more than six months now, and there's nothing I wouldn't do for the adorable pumpkin either."
"I've seen you both." He smiled. "You have a good bond with her, you know? She likes you a lot."
"I am her aunt." I smiled. "And aunts are very close to their nieces, like something I read, they have a unique relationship. Aunts can give hugs like a mother, keep secrets like a sister and share love like a friend."
"It's a good thing then." Y/N said. "It's nice you are so close with each other."
"I would be with all your kids, honestly." I smirked. "More Christmas to spoil them..."
"We'll see if you do." He chuckled as we walked in the dorm, where we found Hermione and Anne in a game of Scrabble. "So, how's this... intense, climactic battle of words coming along?" He asked with a hint of sarcasm and amusement in his voice as he sat down near one of the empty edges.
"Well, Anne is winning so far." Hermione said. "But I have no problem with my daughter winning."
"Who knows?" Anne replied. "Mum may come on top."
"Well, now this just gave me no preference." Y/N said jokingly. "I don't know who'll win now, my daughter or my future wife."
Hermione let a slight smile slip, kissed his cheek and went back on the game. As the game continued, more words were made, giving everyone more points. But eventually in the end, Anne won the game with the letters, "A-G-L-E-T."
Which, according to the dictionary, is a metal or plastic tube fixed tightly around each end of a shoelace.
"I win!" She exclaimed happily as Hermione just smiled at her. "Better luck next time, Mum. Sorry..."
"Oh no, it's okay." Hermione said as she cleaned up her side. "I should have thought about Aglet. Smart move." As they finished cleaning, Snuffles got up and sat on Anne's head, which made her giggle as she took the Niffler off her head and in her arms. Y/N watched the two of them playing around and just laughed while Hermione looked at him with a smile and kissed him. A couple minutes later, Anne was laying down the bed with Snuffles in her arms, Y/N and Hermione were sitting on the bed, Hermione laying down on Y/N, and I was on another comfy chair, brushing Crookshanks' fur.
"So what did Addison have to talk to you both about?" Hermione asked as she intertwined her fingers with Y/N's and he played with her hair.
"Just what Hogwarts is doing with Hawthorne and his Death Eaters." I answered while continuing to brush Crookshanks. "There's a new Auror here too. Seems cool, his name is Vito... what's his full name again?"
"Vito Nightshade." Y/N answered. "And yeah, he sounds really nice. You both would like him."
"Oh, that reminds me, Hermione..." I said as I looked at her. "You want to do dinner for your bachelorette party? Seemed like the thing all of the ladies would agree on."
"Hm.... I'm still not sure." Hermione pondered. "And who would watch over Anne while we're out?"
"Could Grandma watch me?" Anne asked as she got up. "Or Professor McGonagall?"
"I mean, if they're not busy, they probably could." Y/N said. "But are you going to be okay without us for the night?"
"Yeah, I'll be okay, Dad." Anne reassured him. "You and Mum enjoy yourselves. Don't worry. And be safe for me."
"They'd still be worried, Anne." I said. "They're your parents, they have reason to. And they will be safe, I assure you." I said looking at them and back to her. "We do want the bride and groom there on their wedding day, don't we?" Anne grinned while the couple were still confused about it.
"Oh, and also, when you plan on telling us about our own wedding?" Hermione asked me.
"Oh, um, that will be... never." I said as Hermione squinted at me and Anne couldn't help but giggle. "I'm kidding, 'Mione, we'll let you know when it's time."
"But can I tell them one thing?" Anne asked me and looked in my direction for approval as I nodded. "You're gonna love everything we had in mind. It will be truly special." She got off of the bed, walked to them and kissed their cheeks. "I promise you."
"Then we'll take you at your word." Y/N said to her as Anne went in to hug them both. "We love you, pup." Hermione rubbed Anne's arm and smiled at her daughter. "We can go and ask Mum Professor McGonagall if she can watch over you when that happens. I think I'll ask her right now, you want to come?"
Anne smiled as he and Hermione got out of the bed. "Yeah, I will." The two of them then went out of the dorm, but not before saying goodbye to Hermione and I and Hermione gave them both a kiss, one on Y/N's lips and one on Anne's forehead.
After they left, Hermione and I were left in the room so we just decided to talk.
"So how do you feel about being a mum?" I asked her.
"Well, I love thinking about it." Hermione smiled to herself. "And I absolutely adore and love Anne with all my heart. Even if she's a few years younger than me and Y/N, she... I don't know... she feels like my own daughter. Like flesh and blood, our daughter. And I hope when Alya comes into this world, she'd love Anne as much as we do. Oh, but how are things with you and Ron? And have you talked with Harry?"
"Oh, yeah!" I smiled. "Well, Ron may be busy as an Auror with Hawthorne, but he never forgets to send a letter to me. He's really changed a lot. And Harry, he's doing good, working with Ron. I've been talking with him, seeing if he's okay, if he wants to talk, how he and Ginny are doing, the older sister kind of stick."
"It's gonna be so hard to believe..." Hermione chuckled. "That in a few months, you'll be my sister-in-law, Harry will be my brother-in-law, Addison will be my mother-in-law, and Y/N... he will be my husband. And the father to our children in the future. I can't wait for our life together."
"Hey, there's no one else I'd rather have as my sister-in-law." I responded. "And I want to see your kids grow up too. If Ron and I get married, I'd like to stay at Lovegood Manor with him."
We both had a few more laughs and continued to talk more about what to come. And even with this whole reforming thing, I know there would be good things happening for us in the future.
Y/N POV
Anne and I left the dorm, which also gave time for Hermione and Lana to talk together apart from classes, while we were looking for Grandma. She would be in her office or with Mum, since she was the Deputy Headmistress. And since she is Deputy Headmistress, Grandma's been helping Mum with her Headmistress duties as well.
We had eventually made our way to her office, and I knocked on the door as we waited for her to come out.
"Again, Mr. Filch, I would remind you that we are not reinstating those old punishments!" Her voice cried from behind her door, making us look at which other with a strange look. "I urge you, please do not bring it up again as Addison would not--" Midway through her sentence, she opened her door, and slowly smiled as she saw we weren't Argus Filch.
"Oh! Y/N, Anne, so good to see you!" She said cheerfully. "Oh, please come in, come in!" Grandma ushered us in with a smile as we took our seats and a teapot and cups came floating to us. "Tea?"
"Yes, please." Anne said politely as the teapot tipped itself into the cup, pouring some Earl Gray into it. "Oh, yes, Y/N, that reminds me." Grandma said as she sat down and made eye contact with the both of us. "I'm very sure you are proud of your daughter, yes?"
"Of course, I am." I said as I smiled at Anne, who was drinking her tea.
"Well, I shall say this as not just as her great-grandmother, but as her professor." Grandma stated. "But I must say, Anne has to be the best student in her third year! Especially in Transfiguration, she has received high marks on all of her assessments and every task, she executed flawlessly!"
Grandma looked at Anne with a very big smile. "And I have heard from her other professors as well." She said as she produced some parchment and placed it for us to see. "And they have the same remarks I have, possibly even greater!" She showed us some of the comments that Anne had received from her classes.
Miss Lovegood-Granger has performed wonderfully in Charms! Reckon she'd be at O.W.L level by next year... perhaps N.E.W.T!
-- F.F
There isn't a single potion in her grade level that Miss Lovegood-Granger cannot brew! A few tiny -- even miniscule -- mistakes, but regardless, she is marvellously brilliant! A fine addition to the Slug Club...
-- H.E.F. Slughorn
Anne definitely knows her stuff when it comes to Defense Against the Dark Arts. Reminds me of when I thought her father and her aunt in their third year! Truly incredible.
Tina Scamander
There were more and more as I noticed Anne was blushing at every comment she received. But to be honest, I was so impressed. All good comments from her professors. If Hermione were here, I'd bet she'd squeal with glee and hug Anne tight. "What's the Slug Club?" Anne asked.
"Oh, that was the thing Hermione and I went to when we asked you to watch over Snuffles." I said. "It's something that Professor Slughorn made where he gets students with great academic achievement and such. As long as there aren't any boys that give you problems then, I guess it would be pretty fun."
"What makes you say that?" Anne asked innocently.
"Oh, McLaggen..." I scowled. "He tried to hit on your mum and your aunt. He also eyed Hermione in a way that made me want to strangle him."
"I understand with your frustrations with Mr. McLaggen, Y/N." Grandma said. "As much as he had infuriated you, Lana, Miss Granger, and others, you shouldn't have kicked him in the area you choose."
"Yeah, I guess so." I muttered. "But at least he got in trouble for knocking me out with that Bludger..." As I said that last sentence, Anne quickly looked at me and put her hand on mine.
I allowed her hand in mine and assured her with a smile that it wouldn't happen again. "But you both must have come for another reason other than to visit." Grandma said. "What shall that be?"
"Oh, well, Hermione and I decided on nights with our friends to enjoy before our wedding." I said. "But since Anne is too young to join us, she was wondering if you could look over her?"
"If you aren't too busy?" Anne added.
Grandma took a moment and responded. "I do believe I have some time on my hands to look after my great-granddaughter." She smiled. "Perhaps that would work?"
Anne smiled and hugged Professor McGonagall, who wasn't expecting it, but returned it. "Thank you so much, Grandma." I said. "We didn't know if anyone was available."
"Oh, the pleasure is all mine, Y/N." Grandma smiled. "Besides, I do believe I can spend some time with my great-granddaughter outside of classes, can I not?"
"Yeah! Oh, Dad?" Anne asked me. "Can I talk with Great-Grandma really quickly? About something?"
"Oh, yeah, go ahead." I said. "I'll wait for you outside." I nodded with a smile and walked out the door, waiting for Anne to come out a few minutes later. Hermione would be so proud when I tell her.
Hell, I'm proud!
She truly feels like my own daughter. And she will always be our daughter.
Anne left after a few minutes and I surprised her with a hug, and as I hugged her, she laughed and returned it as well. "Good job, honey." I said to her. "I'm so proud of you and I'm sure your mum will be too."
Anne smiled and continued to hug me. "Thanks, Dad." She said and placed her head on my chest. She was a little shorter than Hermione. "Thank you and Mum for always supporting me."
"That's what parents are for, pup." I smiled as I brushed her hair off her face and kissed her forehead. "And I am sure that you'd support your siblings in the same way in the future."
"Course I will." She said with a small smirk. "I want to be the best older sister I can be."
"Oh, also what were you talking to Grandma about?" I asked.
"Oh, just something about a project I want to work on with her and Professor Slughorn about." She answered.
"Something regarding potions?"
"You could say that."
"Interesting... care to tell?"
"Not just yet... I'm still figuring everything out."
"Alright then... I'd bet it will be amazing."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A month later, it was time for the celebrations to begin. When night fell, Hermione and I went with our groups, but not before saying goodbye to Anne and wishing her a good night. Hermione was immensely proud of Anne after I told her, and she couldn't stop smiling and hugging her. As we left, I joined up with Harry, Ron, Draco, Neville, the twins, and the male Misfits being Nick, Axel, Sam and Kieran. But they decided to bring Luke, the other Auror with us. Suppose that's fine.
Hermione went with Lana, Luna, Ginny and the female Misfits, Ashley and Mia. They also brought Selena Raywood since she was a good friend of Mia's.
"Okay, but please lads, just something calm we can all enjoy?" I asked them, as Fred and George bellowed with laughter.
"Y/N, mate!" Fred said. "You're getting married soon! We got to celebrate! Drinks on us!"
"What he said!" George added. "Drinks for everyone on us!"
"I mean, it's Y/N's party, he can choose." Kieran said, being the reasonable one.
"And I for one, do not want to be drunk." Sam said. "I do not like the taste of Firewhiskey."
"Or is that because you can't hold your drink, Sammy?" Axel grinned and asked him.
"Axel, why did Mia tell you that..." He said as he facepalmed himself and Kieran snickered. "But are you sure, cause from what I remember from the first time, you passed out after your third shot of it."
"Oh shit, he got you there." Luke snickered along with Neville.
"Okay, sure, drinks it is." I gave in. "But not too much where we're all drunk as a skunk."
"Excellent!" Fred grinned wickedly. "Now I heard of a strange new drink called IceWhiskey... I want to give it a shot."
"Excellent puns, Freddy boy." George grinned as well.
"Eh, knowing Y/N, he'd just stick with the Butterbeer." Harry joked and put his hand on my shoulder.
"Cause I want to have my mind intact, Harry." I said seriously. "And from what I remember, I'm the one getting married and the one who's a father here."
"I mean, he's not wrong." Ron said.
"Thank you, Ron." I said as I looked at him. "But please, not too much."
"We can try, mate." Nick said. "Besides you're not the only one for Butterbeer. Sam and Kieran usually get it when we go out."
"I suppose that's fine." I said.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One hour later...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"What the hell..." I asked myself.
Now being in the Three Broomsticks, I was wondering how I was talked into this. Sam and Kieran were looking and watching as well.
Cause now the twins had brain freezes equivalent to a hangover, practically frozen in place. Nick and Axel were chatting it up over drinks with some girls from their Hogwarts years that had arrived, and Harry and Ron...
Well, they were drunk.
"I'M THE BOY WHO LIVED!" Harry shouted drunkenly at the bar as others cheered him on.
"YEAH!!!" Multiple men shouted and raised their glasses. Ron was one of them.
"How much did they drink?" Draco asked as he and Neville came near us.
"I honestly have no fucking idea." Sam said in awe.
"The better question is..." I asked as I turned to Draco. "How are you both not drunk?"
"Cause I didn't drink anything but Butterbeer." Draco said and showed his glass.
"And I don't drink Firewhiskey." Neville said.
"That makes five of us then..." Kieran said before looking around. "Wait, where's Luke?"
We looked around looking for the Auror. My eyes were then drawn next to the twins, where Luke was sitting with a girl, chatting it up with her.
"Found him." I said blankly.
Then when I thought things couldn't have gotten worse...
"Hey, she said to piss off!" Nick exclaimed to a man who decided to make his appearance known.
"I do what I want, kid." The man grunted.
"Nick, just ignore him." The girl he was talking to said.
"Now, how about that talk, lovely..." The man said as he grabbed her arm, but before he could, Nick grabbed his arm and looked at him with a deathly glare.
"Amber. Said. PISS. OFF." He growled at him.
"And what are ya gonna do about it, you little bitch?" The man growled.
"Oh, I dunno, whatever shall I do -- THIS, MOTHERFUCKER!" Nick yelled and slammed his fist into the man's jaw.
"Oh, shit." Axel muttered as Nick began to beat the man bloody. And the man's mates decided to join in, and someone yelled, "BAR FIGHT!" and smashed a bottle over someone's head.
"Should we leave?" Kieran asked in a worried tone.
"Yes, we should." Sam said. "I'm gonna try and get them to stop."
"I'm coming with you." I said as I turned to Kieran and Draco. "Can you two get Harry and Ron?"
They nodded and went off to get them away, while Harry shouted again. "i'M tHe bOY whO liVeD!"
"He's --!" Ron was about to shout as well, but Kieran had cast "Oscuasi" on both of them.
"We can have them talking out loud!" He explained.
On the other hand, Sam and I were getting to Nick and Axel, who were fighting the lot of guys. The girl Nick was talking to was trying to get away along with the girl Axel was talking to, but they could get out of their sight. Fortunately, one of them, Amber, had spotted us in the corner and recognized Sam.
"Sam?" Amber asked as the guy watching her turned away with a smack to the jaw.
"Yeah, um, hi, Amber." He said in a quick tone. "Hello, Emily." He said to the other girl as she nervously waved.
"What are you doing here?" Emily asked.
"Same reason Nick and Axel are here." Sam answered and showed me to them. "His bachelor party."
"Hi...?" I said nervously to them.
"Isn't that..."
"Yes, that's Y/N Lovegood, very nice lad, going to get married soon, yes, that's him." Sam answered quickly. "Now, let's get going, shall we? Or should we keep sitting here and let the guy you fancy keep fighting?"
"Still have the damn sarcasm."
"Never lost it." He said as he made a way for them to leave with Kieran, Luke and Draco pulled the drunken boys out. Unfortunately, the man saw us and turned his attention to us.
"More of them!" One of them shouted, but luckily enough, Sam had drawn his wand and yelled, "Stupefy!" at one of them. That one was shot back into the wall and crashed on the floor, drawing their attention to us. I had drawn my wand as well.
"Now, listen up, you fucking arseholes." Sam said aloud to their attention. "This man right here just wanted to enjoy a night with some pals before he ties the knot and we were here to enjoy it with him. But you miserable slobs just had to be pricks to some friends of ours."
I turned to the barkeeper and said, "We'll take our leave. And here you go." I dumped out a pile of Galleons. "For the damages. Very sorry about that."
The barkeep said those men always did that and he appreciated when something happened.
As Sam and I left the pub, we found that Kieran and Draco were holding Harry and Ron, while Nick and Axel were talking to Amber and Emily respectively.
"They were their dates to the Yule Ball." Sam explained. "That's how they know each other."
"Well, you sure know how to command." I said. "I think those people were actually afraid of you."
"Happens sometimes." He remarked. "But other than the fight, I hope this party was well."
"Yeah, me too, mate." I said. "Thanks for the help with that. I wonder how the girls are doing."
Hermione POV
So dinner went well...
And we decided to go out around Hogsmeade (since we were close by, and the boys did go to the Three Broomsticks, wonder how that went.) We just went into other shops and since Selena, Mia and Ashley were around, I told them about the Shrieking Shack and how Y/N and I had our first kiss.
"Well, never knew that damn shack would bring about something wonderful." Mia said as we walked past it.
"Well, I think it is very adorable." Ashley continued. "Was Y/N like that back then?"
"Oh yeah." Lana told them. "I wanted them to get together ever since Hermione told me she fancied my brother. I tried everything. Anything to get them together! Oh wait, Hermione! You remember when we wouldn't talk to Harry or Ron cause of the 'rat' problem?"
"Yeah?" I asked.
"When we didn't talk to the boys since Ron thought Hermione's cat ate his rat, we spent more time with her in the library and we studied until Madam Pince told us to leave." Lana explained. "But most of those times, Hermione ended up falling asleep and Y/N had to carry her back."
~Flashback to Prisoner of Azkaban - December 1993~
3rd POV
In December 1993, (around the time where Ronald Weasley and Harry Potter didn't speak to Hermione Granger, Y/N Lovegood or Lana Lovegood due to some disputes about a certain dumb, pathetic rat), Y/N, Hermione and Lana were studying together in the Library to pass the time away from the two boys.
It was how they would spend time away from the two. Since they had extended schedules with their Time Turners, they were catching up with their other classes. Too many classes to keep track of...
Divination...
Muggle Studies...
Magical Training for the twins...
Arithmancy...
Ancient Runes...
Tea dregs, the concept of electricity (which wizards did not understand at all.), Numerology, papers on Thunderbirds and Occamys and multiple symbols had the three in the library, looking everything up. The subjects had them in the library till late hours.
"This is honestly too much." Y/N said as he shut a book to return it. "Divination is complete nonsense to understand. "
"You don't have to tell me twice." Lana muttered. "Trelawney is out of her bloody mind.
"How long have you three been in this library!?" Madam Pince's voice silently screamed. "Do you have possibly any idea how long? Go, go! Back to your common Rooms! Get sleep!"
"Yes, Madam Pince." The twins said as they stood up, packed their things, and returned the copious amount of books, nearly 15 books. As they were finishing up and taking their things, Y/N looked around for something.
"Where is it?" He muttered to himself as Lana watched her twin brother in confusion. "Where is it?"
"What are you looking for?" Lana asked after a few minutes. "Whatever it is, find it quick, Madam Pince needs us out of the library quick."
"My papers on Buckbeak's case." Y/N said as he looked under the table. "I borrowed some from Newt, but I can't find them."
Lana looked with her brother for those until her eyes were drawn into a certain bushy brown haired girl on the couch, who was fast asleep.
"I think I found them." Lana said and tapped her brother's shoulders. Y/N turned around and saw that the papers were in Hermione's hands, a couple pages open meaning she had read them, but she must have fallen asleep since she was really tired.
"Ah, Hermione was looking into the case..." Y/N said. "I was wondering why she was so silent, she was asleep."
He walked over quietly, hoping not to wake her up, and carefully pulled the pages away to pack them away. Hermione luckily stayed asleep, but now was about to fall onto the cushion, but Y/N was quick enough to stop her head by gently placing his hand on the backside of her head.
Y/N didn't want to wake her up, so he inched his hand down to her back, his other hand behind her knees and picked her up bridal style. Hermione groaned a little and looked around before asking, "Y-Y/N?"
"Yeah, 'Mione?" He asked her softly.
"What's -- What's going on?"
"You fell asleep here, you must be pretty tired."
"I was looking into Buckbeak's case..." Hermione said softly. "But all the work today..."
"It's okay, 'Mione." Y/N said. "I'm taking you back to the common Room. You just get some rest, okay? Hopefully Ginny is there to open it."
Hermione nodded, put her hands around Y/N's neck and used his shoulder as a kind of a cushion. Her forehead was nuzzled into Y/N's neck and soon enough, she rested comfortably in his arms.
"Aww..." Lana said from behind Y/N as he turned around with Hermione in his arms. "You both look so cute! I'm shipping you both so much!"
"Lana..." Y/N groaned as Hermione unconsciously tightened her arms around his neck, pulling her head closer to him.
"She needs rest, sis." Y/N said as he looked at Hermione's resting form. "She's been working really hard.
"Still not stopping me from thinking this is adorable as hell." Lana smirked as they left.
Through their walk, Y/N held Hermione in his hands carefully and checked constantly if she was okay. Y/N cared for Hermione a lot in this time too, it was a while after they had their first kiss, mind you. But he didn't know Hermione felt the same about him.
Hermione was happy inside. She felt warmth whenever she was around Y/N, she felt safe and protected around him. The fact she was being carried by him back to their Common Room made her heart flutter. She knew she fell in love with him, she wouldn't deny it.
She had dreams where Y/N swept her off her feet or that he would propose to her. Albeit, being more cheesy and sappy.
Little did she know that he would actually propose to her in a few years.
Secretly, Y/N felt his heart beat faster. He felt at peace with Hermione, he enjoyed every moment with her. That first kiss they had, he loved it, like a shock he never wanted to end.
Soon enough, Y/N dropped Lana off at Ravenclaw tower and the twins had said their goodbyes as Y/N, with Hermione still in his arms, walked to the Gryffindor Common Room. Unfortunately, as it was late at night, the Room was closed, but the Fat Lady was still outside, trying to shatter her glass with her voice.
"Oh!!" The Fat Lady cackled with glee. "What have we here? A pair of star-crossed lovers?"
Y/N blushed for a moment, but composed himself as he spoke. "Miss Lady, we aren't Romeo and Juliet. I do not see the reason as to why they should be known as such. They wanted to get married after a bloody day."
Yes, Y/N read the Muggle Shakespearean tale of the supposed "Star-Crossed Lovers" Romeo and Juliet.
He wasn't impressed.
He thought it was a bunch of fucking bullshit.
William Shakespeare may have been a master wordsmith, but in all honesty, he was no wizard.
The Fat Lady simply huffed and shone a wicked smile. "Oh, wait till I tell Violet!"
"Please, don't." Y/N said quickly. "I would love to debate the bullshit in Romeo and Juliet such as the stupid family rivalary, the ill-timed deaths, and the fact they said they were in love after one day, but I really have to get this wonderful and adorable angel to her dorm, so if you would please let me pass..."
Y/N suddenly realized the words that came out of his mouth as the Fat Lady cackled again. "Not when you say it like that! Oh, even more to tell!"
"How is it for a portrait to be so loud? Should I grab Professor McGonagall?" Y/N scoffed with sarcasm as the Fat Lady huffed in annoyance. "Fine..." She gave in. "Password?"
"Fortuna Major." Y/N said, annoyed by the Lady's antics. She opened the door and Y/N walked through the entrance and up to the girl's dorms. Since Hermione was in his hands, he wasn't dropped down the stairs due to the magic cast on them. He knocked the door with his foot and waited for a certain ginger-haired second year to open the door.
He didn't expect Lavender Brown to open it for him.
"Oh! Y/N, it's good to see you here." She giggled as Y/N was speechless. He really thought Ginny would open it. "How did you get -- oh. Her." Lavender said as her eyes went to Hermione, still asleep.
"Yeah. Hi." Y/N said with his seriousness regained. "Just in and out. She fell asleep in the library."
"Oh, Y/N!" Ginny said as Y/N silently thanked Merlin. "I'll take you to Hermione's bed. Don't worry about Lavender, she'll just go back to her bed. Won't you, Lavender?" She said with a glare as Lavender huffed and went to talk to Parvati Patil.
"Thanks for the save." Y/N whispered to Ginny.
"No problem." Ginny answered in a whisper. "She's so annoying, all she ever talks about other than classes and that bunny of hers are boys! Don't get me wrong, you are quite attractive, even to the point where I fancied you for a little, but to the point where she ranks charm? Ron may not be Prince Charming, but he is my brother, and only I can do that to my brother."
"Well, guess that's nice of you to do that for Ron." Y/N said. "But... you fancied me?"
"Oh, yeah, I did." Ginny blushed slightly. "But after seeing how close you and Hermione are, I let go of that."
"Well, well, Ginny." Y/N grinned. "I thought you fancied Harry with that poem, huh?"
"Don't bring it up, Lovegood." She smirked. "Anyways, here's her bed."
"Thank you." Y/N said silently as he placed the sleeping brown-haired girl in her bed. He lifted her sheets and covered her as a smile formed on Hermione's face and she snuggled into her pillow. Her wand rolled out of her pocket, but Y/N caught it and placed it on her nightstand. "Get some rest, 'Mione." He whispered to her. "You deserve it, you've worked so hard. Get some sleep for me, sweetheart." Y/N said with a smile that would have made Hermione giggle and blush slightly. He then pressed his lips against her forehead and rubbed her cheek gently. "Good night, 'Mione." He said. "Take care."
But being a Legilimens, Y/N could hear some of her thoughts and what he heard brought a smile to his face.
'Good night, Y/N. And you take care for me too.'
'He called me adorable!'

Back to Hermione POV
"Ginny, I'm quite surprised that you fancied Y/N honestly." I said to her.
"Hermione, nearly every girl fancied Y/N at one point." Ginny said. "I fancied him a little in my first year."
"And look at them both now." Lana said. "Engaged, soon-to-be-married and they have a daughter! I'm so proud!"
"They have a good story together." Selena said. "Who's Y/N's best man?"
"Oh, that'd be Harry." Lana said. "He literally said, 'I better be best man at the wedding' when we found out they got engaged."
"It's so adorable!" Ashley exclaimed. "It's so lovely-"
"Ash, you think everything is lovely." Mia said. "But in this case, you're right. Their story is so amazing."
"And there's so much more!" Lana said while Luna nodded. "There's the Yule Ball, the anniversary that Y/N set up for her, the proposal itself... Long story short, my brother is a romantic but he hates Romeo and Juliet. Can't blame him, he's right."
"You both get along nicely for twins..." Mia said. "So far, no brother-sister rivalry of any kind."
"Cause we agree on everything." Lana explained. "Best friends since birth."
"Hey, hang on." Selena muttered as she turned in one direction. "Weren't the guys going to the Three Broomsticks?"
"Yeah, they were." I said. "What about it?"
"They're a rather large hole in the side of the pub." Luna said. "Also Harry and Ron appear to be drunk. That or they're feeling hungover."
A group was outside the pub talking as we walked over to the scene. Harry and Ron had received the wizard equivalent of a hangover cure, presented by Axel.
"I usually use this sometimes when I'm drunk." He said as he uncorked the small vial with his mouth and spit the cork into a trash can. "But these two need it right now." Using a pair of shot glasses, he gave the liquid to Ron and Harry and upon drinking it, they felt back to their normal selves.
Well, before Harry vomited into a trashcan.
"Ugh... my head hurts so much." Harry muttered.
"Mine too, mate..." Ron said as he rubbed his temple. "What is that stuff?"
"Homemade Hangover Cure Potion." Axel said as he pocketed the vial. "Keep a vial of this stuff around for any time."
"What the hell happened here?" I asked.
"Well, some idiotic pricks decided to try and do some shit to some old friends of ours." Sam said as it was no big deal. "So a fight started and your fiancé and I took care of it. Oh, and we paid for the damages."
Mia just stared at Sam with a look of admiration in her eyes and hugged him which I looked at Y/N. "You didn't get drunk, did you?"
"Nope. Not a single drop of Firewhiskey." He said. "I just had Butterbeer. In fact, Sam, Kieran, Neville, Draco and I were sober. Ron and Harry got drunk, Nick and Axel were talking to those two..." He said, pointing to said girls now talking with Nick and Axel. "Luke was also talking to someone, from what I remember."
"What about Fred and George?" I asked again.
"Oh right!" Y/N gasped. "They should be better from that IceWhiskey they were talking about..." Before I could ask, he said, "It's a long story. But it wasn't all bad."
"And how's that?" I asked with a smile.
"Those two? Amber and Emily?" He said pointing to them. "Nick and Axel asked them to be their dates at our wedding."
"Oh, that's nice." I said. "I'm guessing that Sam and Mia'll go together, Ashley said she had someone to ask... wait, what about Kieran?"
"Oh, he did mention that he did have a girlfriend when he was at Hogwarts." Y/N said. "I think he said her name was... Summer? Summer James. But they broke up somehow during the TriWizard Tournament. He reckons he could ask her to the wedding though. But enough about that, how was your night with the girls? Nothing crazy happened like this, I presume."
"Oh, yes, nothing like that." I said while stroking his cheek. "But it was fun. They told us some other stories, and Lana told us the one where you carried me back to the Girl's dormitory."
"Ah, the good old days." He smirked. "But Harry and Ron should get some rest. They've had too much to drink, and now their heads hurt like hell."
Soon enough, everyone went their separate ways. Harry returned home, while Ron went back to the Burrow to sleep off the terrible hangover they had. Sam, Mia and Kieran went back to the room they were staying in at Hogwarts, and Axel, Nick and Ashley went back to Diagon Alley to check up on the library last minute.

Anne POV
While Hermione and Y/N were enjoying their night off, I was in Professor Slughorn's office with Jason, who was helping me with something.
The thing I asked from Great-Grandma was that if I had her and Professor Slughorn's permission to brew a potion I hoped would be beneficial. Jason volunteered to help me as Slughorn and McGonagall supervised us.
"I must say, with the particular ingredients you have, Miss Lovegood-Granger," Slughorn began. "It seems you want to brew a Polyjuice Potion."
"You could say that." I said as Jason gathered some more ingredients.
"What would this potion do?" Jason said as she placed ingredients. "Who is it for? And what would it do?"
"Aren't you a curious one?" I teased him. "But if you want to know, then I can say. Both my parents have scars. Not like my Uncle Harry's, his is a bit more permanent, I'm afraid. He still has it, but it won't hurt him again."
"Both Y/N's and Hermione's scars were forced on them." I went on. "Dad got his in his fourth year from Dolores Umbridge. She called him a Monster. That's what his scar says, along with another she gave. Mum got hers when she and the others were hunting Lord Voldemort's Horcruxes. Hers was etched on her skin by that vile woman... Bellatrix Lestrange."
"What did hers say?" Jason asked curiously.
"Hers say... hers say Mudblood." I said without looking up. "We're both Muggle-born, made us both targets then."
I felt Jason's eyes looking at me and his hand made it's way over mine. We made eye contact, and he sent me a reassuring smile and I returned it.
"But Mum told me something." I said. "When she got her scar, Dad comforted her and told her that will always stand out to me. Dad told her... 'Who cares if either of us are Muggle-born or a Dark Wizard's progeny?' He also said, 'That word isn't going to change anything' It won't change the way of how much he loved her. He loved her, with her flaws and all."
"And I'm sure he thinks the same for you." Jason said
I smiled again and looked at Professor Slughorn. "Professor, I did some research on some potion ingredients for the exact potion I wanted to brew. I even took some notes about some, and I think I have the right ones to make it, I just wanted to make sure with you if I was right. Would you mind if you can take a look at them?"
"Oh, certainly!" Slughorn cheered gleefully and looked at my notes. "Hmm... yes, that would be possible... Ah, I haven't thought about this... this is brilliant! Extraordinary!"
"Miss Lovegood-Granger, this is marvellous!" He cheered as he handed the papers to McGonagall. "Those potion ingredients have never been used for this kind of potion! But I reckon this would be the first kind of potion ever made! Yes, we can begin brewing immediately!"
"Why, Professor Slughorn is correct." Great-Grandma proclaimed. "I believe this could be a new potion!"
And we had gotten to work just after that. Due to this being a new potion, we had to get it right, so we all wore goggles in case.
"Alright so, stir 4 times counter-clockwise..."
"Like this?" Jason asked.
"Precisely!" Slughorn said. "Now, add the Essence of Dittany, but slowly and gently!"
I dropped out a couple of drops of Dittany and afterwards, Jason added the Wormwood. It did have some other ingredients including Lacewing flies, fluxweed, salamander blood, some mint, and Wiggenweld bark.
It was essentially a advanced Wiggenweld Potion, what it would do is that it would heal their scars, but since they obtained them by separate ways, Dad's by a letter with a curse on it, and Mum's by cutting her skin, so this one potion would remove themselves once exposed.
After we let it simmer for 40 minutes (really 30, but 10 added due to the other ingredients), it was time for the moment of truth. Jason and I were on either side of Professor Slughorn, watching eagerly as Slughorn was about to drop a leaf into it. I was nervous as hell, but Jason had calmed me down by holding my hand and smiling at me.
Slughorn dropped the leaf, and as we waited, he smiled to himself and looked at me. "Congratulations, Miss Lovegood-Granger." He said excitedly. "You have created your very own first potion!"
"Wait, you're serious?" I asked. "It worked?"
"Indeed, it has!" Slughorn exclaimed. "The leaf has shriveled! Meaning the potion has been brewed correctly! Now, with the honor of this potion's creation, it must be named!"
He walked over to the notes he was writing for how the potion shall be made. "I've written the directions in case we do brew this in class, but it must have a name. You, as it's initial creator, have that honor, so what shall it be?"
"Nothing comes to mind as of yet..." I wondered to myself and turned to Jason. "Any ideas?"
Jason thought to himself before saying, "The Draught of Blessed Skin? I mean, your parents' scars will be removed, and returned to normal, hence 'Blessed Skin'?"
"That's bloody brilliant!" I exclaimed. "That will do nicely."
Slughorn jotted down the words quickly.
THE DRAUGHT OF BLESSED SKIN
Created By Anne Lovegood-Granger
Brewed by Anne Lovegood-Granger and Jason Leroy-Smith
Under the supervision of Horace E.F. Slughorn.
"Now, do I have your permission to teach this potion to fellow third years and perhaps above?" He asked.
"Of course, Professor." I said.
"Splendid!" Slughorn exclaimed again. "And I'll be sure to tell your grandmother of this achievement! She would be very proud. And of course, I shall let your family know as well, Mr. Leroy-Smith."
Before we left, Slughorn filled a vial of the substance and handed it to me and gave a copy of the parchment of the notes to Great-Grandma. And luckily enough, Mum and Dad had returned from their night out. Before I went to them, Jason stopped me. "What's up?" I asked him.
"Oh, uh..." Jason said as he scratched his head. "I just wanted to wish you luck, you know? I hope this works."
"Oh, thanks." I said with a small smile. "You helped a lot, I have to thank you for that." Before I went to Mum and Dad, I quickly hugged him and smiled warmly at him.
I made my way to Mum and Dad's dorm, where they had just come from their night off. The vial was in my pocket and I was a little nervous. "Hey, Mum, Dad." I said from behind them and they turned around with a smile on their faces.
"Hey, Anne!" Mum said with a hug. "Did you enjoy your time?
"Yeah, I suppose." I admitted. "But in all honesty, I was working on something for you both."
"Really?" Dad asked as we all sat down on the bed. "What would that be?"
"It would be this." I said as I removed the vial. "It's a potion I made with Professor Slughorn."
"But you're good in his class." Dad said. "How come?"
"I wasn't in trouble, I asked Great-Grandma if she and Slughorn could help me with this." I explained.
"What kind of Potion is this?" Hermione asked as I handed her the vial and let her observe it.
"The Draught of Blessed Skin." I answered.
"I've never heard of it." Y/N said.
"Well, you haven't..." I said before taking a deep breath. "Because I invented it."
Both of their eyes widened as they heard me. "You... invented this potion?" They asked.
"Just for you both." I answered. "And it will remove both your scars. It's been brewed correctly, but I'm not sure exactly or if you'd take it. I'm not even sure if this could hurt you badly."
"Anne, you made this potion." Y/N said. "We trust you, honey. With our lives. If you want, we will gladly try it. Right, 'Mione?"
Mum nodded and held her hand in mine. "I agree with your dad. We trust you completely. We're more than willing to try." As she finished, she pulled up her sleeve, revealing her "Mudblood" scar and Dad had done the same but he put out his other scar that Umbridge gave him. They both gave me warm smiles and their trust. Hopefully this would work...
I uncorked the potion and slowly allowed the potion's liquid onto the scarred skin, Monster, Mudblood and the Grindelwald scar. As the liquid seeped onto the skin, Y/N hissed in pain for a moment.
"Are you okay, Dad?" I asked, worried for him.
"Yeah, I'm okay." Y/N said. "Just... stings a little."
And just like that, the monster scar faded away slowly, letter by letter, until finally, Dad's forearm no longer had the name he dreaded.
His Grindelwald scar faded away as well, this time, word by word. At the same time, Mum's Mudblood scar faded away as well. Soon enough, the skin that was scarred was clean of any bloodied writing. Their skin had returned to their normal, unscarred form.
"I... I can't believe it..." I said in amazement. "My potion worked. I can't believe it, it actually worked!"
"Well, I can believe it." Hermione said, joy in her voice. "You helped us get rid of these. I know I've said this so many times, but I'm very, very proud of you."
"And I am too." Y/N said as he looked at me with the feeling of fatherly love. And just seeing that made me bury myself in his chest and cry happily. I actually helped them get rid of something they were forced with. I felt happy I helped them get rid of it.
Y/N hugged me back and gently rubbed my back while Hermione leaned on Y/N's shoulder and stroked my hair gently and lovingly. "It's okay, it's okay, pup." Y/N whispered. "You did great. You really did. We're so happy that you're your daughter."
"We love you so much." Hermione said with a kiss on my head.
"And you invented this potion?" Y/N asked me. "You're just as brilliant as your mum."
"Well, I can't take all the credit for it." I giggled a little as Dad wiped my tears away. "Jason helped me brew it with Slughorn."
"Really now?" Dad asked. "Nice of him, I suppose."
"Yeah, he's my best friend." I said. "He wanted to help."
"Then he is good in our book, isn't he, Love?" Mum asked Dad.
"I guess so." Y/N said. "Besides, he's nice to you. I'd expect to see him with Axel at the wedding."
"But how was your night?" I asked.
Both of them smiled to each other and began to tell me everything, including a bar fight with one of Jason's uncles. We spent the whole night talking until Mum fell asleep on Dad's chest.
"I think I should get to bed too." I said as I hoped off. "I hope you liked your night out."
"Oh, we did, apart from that fight." Dad chuckled. "And the gift you gave us... it's more than we deserve. But thank you so much, Anne."
"Of course." I said. "You and Mum have always been there for me. And I want it to stay like that. Even before you adopted me, I felt like you were my parents. You both were always so protective and caring of me."
"And I know I speak for both myself and your mother that we regret nothing." Dad smiled. "We will always be willing to help and support you. Now, you should get to bed. You look tired, pup."
"Yeah, I'll go." I said with a hug to both him and Mum. "Love you both." I said softly and kissed his and Mum's cheek.
"We love you too." Dad said with a warm smile before I left. "Good night, pup."
"Night, dad."
(A/N: Shoutout to The_Grey_Jedi1 for the idea of this potion!)
