76). The Battle of Hogwarts Begins

3rd POV

"They never learn. Such a pity. Begin."

Voldemort smiled as he watched the barrier form over Hogwarts. It was clear they wouldn't give up Harry Potter, so he would have to take and kill him by force. Bellatrix raised her arm in a signal, reading the Death Eaters for battle, but Pius Thicknesse spoke up.

"But... my lord... shouldn't we wait?"

Voldemort glared evilly at the Minister who was under the Imperius Curse. Bellatrix decided to put her arm down, smirking at the barrier.

On the other side, the Weasley twins burst out of the castle, ready to fight as Luna led Harry, Y/N and Hermione to the Ravenclaw Common Room. Lana and Ron were still running towards the Chamber of Secrets and the members of the D.A were creating the explosives, ready to destroy the bridge. Neville got the supplies for the explosives as Seamus commanded everyone.

"That's it." He said as he sat down to begin making the explosive. "I want a charge on each and every joist." As he begin, others such as Katie Bell, Cho Chang, Nigel Wolpert, Sam Johnson and Kayla Rosario placed the charges on them.

"You do know what you're doing," Anne asked him. "don't you, Seamus?"

Seamus smiled and gave a thumbs-up. "Don't worry bout it, Cotton," Seamus said. "You're gonna get back to your new family safe."

Ginny Weasley arrived and began to wave her hand at them, but stopped as she looked in the distance. An army of Snatchers were descending upon them. Neville turned and watched them run toward the bridge.

"Not good," he said with a hint of worry.

"You know Y/N killed one of them, right?" Anne said to Neville. "If they come, they're gonna be sorry. I just hope Hermione and him are okay."

On another side of the castle, Kingsley Shacklebolt and Remus Lupin were standing their ground with another member of the D.A, Dean Thomas and a new recruit, Blaise Zabani. As Kingsley looked into the sky, he turned to the D.A members.

"Tell Professor McGonagall and Professor Lovegood," Kingsley commanded them. "Remus and I will handle this side of the castle."

"Yes, sir," The boys said before Remus spotted the Death Eaters apparating near Hogwarts.

"Dean! Blaise!" Kingsley shouted, which luckily they heard. "On second thought, we might need one or two more wands this side."

The two nodded as they saw the Death Eaters and quickly ran to the Professors.

"It's the quality of one's conviction that determines success," Lupin said. "not the number of one's followers."

Lupin stared into the sky as Kingsley asked, "Who said that?"

Remus chuckled. "Me."

The two shared a smile together as Tonks appeared with two other people, none other than Newt and Tina Scamander. Little did Kingsley know, this would have been the last moments Lupin and Tonks would have had with him.

"Speaking of quality," Remus said as he hugged his wife. "Newt, Tina, what are you doing here!? This isn't where you should be now!"

"Someone told me years ago that I can't stay neutral forever," Newt said as he set down his case. "That I have to pick a side. Dumbledore told me that. It's time that we got back in action while we still can." Tina smiled at her husband as he pulled out what seemed to be a couple pointy balls on a string.

"This should keep them occupied," Newt said as he released the balls, revealing a swarm of Swooping Evils upon the Death Eaters. "They've been trained, so anyone on our side will not be hurt. They, however, will not be so fortunate."

"But you shouldn't have!" Remus argued with his wife. "It's Teddy who needs you."

"He'll sleep 'til dawn and snore like his father," Tonks said to him. "It's you who needs me tonight."

Lana POV

Ron and I finally arrived at the Girl's Bathroom, where the Chamber of Secrets was hidden. This brings so many memories...

Ron and I walked toward the sink, where Y/N and I had opened it years ago. As Ron removed his wand, I muttered in Parseltongue, "Take me inside..."

The hatch to the Chamber opened up and we made our way down in the chamber. We eventually made it to the section where Lockhart tried to erase our memories and separated us. After that, I feel Y/N dying and that... would have been devastating if Y/N actually died. He was my twin brother, I grew up with him, I loved him. If he died, what would I be like? That was a thought I wanted to keep tucked away. Even if he is older than me by 6 measly minutes, I was still overprotective of him.

We entered the chamber near Salazar Slytherin's face. "I didn't expect it to be like this." I said.

"What did you expect it to be like?" Ron asked.

"Not this."

Ron found the now decayed skeleton of the Basilisk and pulled out one of its fangs. I took out the cup Hermione gave me from her pouch as Ron extended his hand with the fang to me.

"You do it," He said to me, with a little fear in his eyes.

I couldn't speak. He was holding the thing that nearly killed my brother. I remembered his dying thoughts from before Fawkes resurrecting him after his short death. I was about to speak, but Ron objected and put his hand on my shoulder.

"Yes, you can." He said with a reassuring small smile. I took the fang from him and held it in my other hand as I looked at the face of Slytheirn, remembering what happened here 5 years ago.

"This is for my brother, you sick son of a bitch." I said as I raised the fang and knifed it into the cup, causing it to scream. I could feel Tom screaming in pain as I twisted the fang in the cup, killing the Horcrux. It's ironic... the thing that Voldemort used to nearly kill my brother was the same thing used to finally kill Tom Riddle's soul fragments.

As the goblet was destroyed, it sizzled but it didn't affect me that much. But something exploded as water spewed forth and soaked us in water. As the water had stopped, we found ourselves still standing with the destroyed cup on the ground. Ron and I looked at each other as I nodded at him. Then it happened.

It finally happened.

(A/N: Chose this gif cause well... NO-ONE HERE WANTS TO SEE THE ROMIONE KISS!)

We kissed each other. Finally, he does it. I've been waiting a long time for him to make a move. We stopped as I looked him in his eyes. I couldn't help but giggle as he smiled. We ran out of the Chamber but this time we ran back hand-in-hand. Harry and Y/N would probably be protective of me this time. And I would be completely fine with it.

Harry POV

Luna led the three of us to a corridor near the Ravenclaw Tower where as we turned, we saw a ghost of a beautiful woman in front of a mirror. Her eyes were distant and as she turned around, I recognized her from my visions and so did Y/N.

"It's you..." I said. "You're the Grey Lady, the ghost of Ravenclaw Tower."

"I do not answer to that name." She said in a calm but ghastly voice.

"Of course," Y/N responded. "We're sorry. Your name is Helena, right? Helena Ravenclaw. Rowena's daughter."

"Are you a friend of Luna's?" Helena said to him.

"She's not just my friend," Y/N said calmly, not to agitate her. "She's my little cousin."

"She thought you might be able to help us?" I asked her as Hermione nodded.

"You seek... my mother's diadem." She said as she looked down.

"Yes!" Hermione said. "That's right --"

"Luna is kind," Helena said. "Unlike so many of the others, but she was wrong. I cannot help you, despite you being her cousin." She began to drift away, but something had exploded and the room quaked. I was so desperate, we needed to destroy the Horcrux.

"Wait, please!" I pleaded to make her stay.

"Many have sought my mother's diadem," Helena went on. "Its powers are legendary..."

"But I don't care about its powers!" I yelled. "Honestly--" Helena continued to drift away. "We don't seek it for ourselves! You have to believe us!" Y/N said to her but she still kept drifting on. Then Y/N said something that caught her attention.

"If it's power is so desirable, it has to be destroyed! And we want to destroy it!" Helena stopped drifting and turned back to us. "That's what you want, isn't it, Helena?" he asked. "You want it to be destroyed."

"She thought I took it to hurt her..." Helena said as she drifted to another corner. "But I only wanted to be more like her, clever and wise. She wore it so beautifully, but on me... I grew to hate it... the pain I felt... the pain I feel even now..."

"We'll end your pain, Helena," I said. "Tell us where it is and we'll destroy it, I swear, on my mother's memory."

"Another swore to destroy it, many years ago," Helena said. "A strange name..."

"Tom Riddle..." Y/N said with a glare.

"But he lied."

"He's lied to many people..." I said but Helena burst with anger and rage burned her pale eyes and see-through skin. "I KNOW WHAT HE'S DONE! I KNOW WHO HE IS! HE DEFILED IT! WITH DARK MAGIC!"

Helena composed herself again and looked back at us. I noticed Hermione's grip on Y/N's hand tightened as Y/N quickly kissed her cheek.

"Yes, that's right," I said. "But I can undo that, Helena. I can destroy it once and for all. But only if you tell me where he hid it. You know where he hid it, don't you, Helena? You just have to tell me. Please." I stepped forward a bit and said, "Trust me."

Helena looked at me, but more closely into my eyes. "Strange... you remind me of him a bit..."

I looked back at her and was lost in thought before she finally spoke up. "It's here. In the castle." Helena spoke up. "In the place where everything is hidden..."

Y/N looked at her strangely. "If you have to ask, you'll never know. If you know, you only need to ask." Helena quoted mysteriously. Hermione's expression was blank at first but she soon knew and her eyes widened as mine and Y/N's did as well.

She was talking about the Room of Requirement.

"Thank you..." I said as we turned around but I turned to her again. "Thank you..."

"One moment..." Helena said. "You... in the overcoat. You look very familiar... like a Ravenclaw from years ago. His name... was Langden. Do you know him?"

Y/N looked up at her. "Of course I know him. He's my father."

Helena smiled for what seemed to be the first time in a while. "I remember him. He was so nice, always one of my favorites." He smiled and we ran off towards the Room of Requirement.

The shield in the sky fell as more Death Eaters advanced into Hogwarts, but curiously some creatures were flying above them attacking them. I found it strange, they looked evilish, but weren't on the Death Eater's side.

"Wait a minute," Y/N said as he and Hermione stopped. "Those are Swooping Evils... Newt's here!"

"Newt? Newt Scamander?" I asked wildly. "Brillaint... those creatures he has will give us a fighting chance." Just then, more magical creatures entered the fray. A giant furry creature whose body twisted as he flew around screamed at the Death Eaters.

Another creature looking like a rhino burst through as more of them panicked and a blue-snake like bird creature soared through the skys and throwing the Death Eaters around.

"Well..." Hermione said with a small grin. "Newt's really brought the cavalry, hasn't he?"

3rd POV

As Newt unleashed the Magical Creatures on the Death Eaters, the members of the D.A were continuing to set the explosives, the Professor were protecting the other students and Kingsley, Remus, Tonks and the Scamanders battled the Death Eaters flying in the room. Arthur, Fred, George and Percy Weasley were fighting Death Eaters in the corridors.

The Snatchers were only moments away from the D.A and the bridge. All of them were being lead by the one-eyed werewolf Fenrir Greyback, which made Anne very angry to see him. She never forgot the moment where he had tried to hurt her and Hermione, her now-unofficial adoptive mother and had loathed that werewolf ever since.

"Not good." Neville said as he watched with Anne. He watched them slowly advance like beasts on the field. He backed up slowly and guarded Anne with his hand.

"Ready!?" Ginny yelled at the members, clearly in shock of how close they were.

"Are you bloody joking?!" Anne and Neville said at the same time.

But Ginny pointed her wand at the charges and so did Neville as Seamus sprung up with another wild and maniacal grin plastered on his face.

"Oh God--" Neville said as he set off the charges and the D.A were behind him and Ginny. The sections of the bridge exploded one by one and the Snatchers fell into the hole underneath them as Seamus howled like a madman. But suddenly, Fenrir jumped the two halves and landed in front of them, but as he was about to attack, Anne stood in front and shouted, "Depulso!" sending him across the bridges, injuring him.

I tell you, Hermione and Y/N would be very, very proud of her.

"Bloody bastard..." Anne muttered underneath her breath as the others watched in awe.

"She... she just did that?" Seamus asked everyone. "That was brilliant."

"She learned the Patronus Charm in her first year," Ginny smiled. "Just like Hermione, I tell you, just as brilliant." Anne smiled at her but suddenly, the section under Neville broke and he fell, but only a few feet.

"Well done, Seamus!" Neville yelled sarcastically as he revealed himself from the ledge, only for Seamus to smirk.

"Told yeh I'd bring 'er down." He said with the same grin. Ginny and Anne walked forward to help him as Neville shook off the ashes off his head but had grinned unexpectedly.

"What?" Ginny said to him as Anne and her pulled him up.

"That was kind of exciting..." Neville said.

"Mad." Anne smirked. "You're both mad. And I love it."

From across the castle in the dungeons, Filch had locked the opposing Slytherins away. He was known not to like children, but he didn't like the Death Eaters either, so he complied.

"Night-tee night," he smirked as he locked away the Slytherins.

"You let us out of here!" Pansy Parkinson yelled. "You filthy Squib!"

Despite being called a Squib, Filch grinned at them and held up the kets before running back to the Great Hall. But as he did, he didn't account for the giants on the field as one burst through the wall with Draco as he grabbed Crabbe and Goyle. Filch couldn't help but watch, but he didn't know Draco was really on Y/N's side.

And Draco was planning to show he turned sides officially.

Hermione POV

"Ginny! Neville! Anne!" Harry said as the others ran towards us. Anne was running with them and as we had both hugged her on sight. "You alright?"

"Never better!" Neville exclaimed, feeling the rush of Adrenaline in him. "Fell like -- I feel like I could spit fire! Haven't seen luna, have you?"

"Luna?" We all asked him.

"I'm mad for her!" He confessed. "Think it's about time I told her, seeing as there's a pretty good chance we'll both be dead by dawn!" He then made a mad dash as Y/N, Anne and I watched Ginny and Harry embrace each other.

"I know," was all Ginny said.

After we watched the beasts attack the Death Eaters and Neville's confession of his feelings for Luna, We arrived at the Room of Requirement but Harry reached for his temple again as Y/N supported him. Lana and Ron arrived as well, but Lana was smiling, just like I did when I kissed Y/N for the first time. Ron finally did it, didn't he! They kissed, didn't they!

They separated their hands and hugged us and as she hugged me, I asked. "You kissed him, didn't you, Lana?"

Lana smiled and nodded. "At least you'd have a guest at the wedding then, if you're willing to still plan it?" I asked her again.

"Of course, I'm still planning it!" she exclaimed. "Anything for my best friend and my soon-to-be-sister-in-law."

"We need to find the Diadem," Harry said as he stood up properly. "After that, it's just two more."

"We better start looking," Y/N said as he took my hand and I gently accepted it into mine. He looked at Ron. "So... you finally told her, didn't you, Ronald Weasley?" He smirked. "I'm happy for you both."

"Me too," Harry said. "But Ron, if you hurt our sister, I'm very sure Y/N will hunt you down."

"I don't ever plan on doing something like that ever again," Ron said. "Done with being the world's biggest git."

As we finished up our conversations, we went on to try to find the Diadem in the Room of Requirement, and in hopes to stay hopeful, Y/N and I were talking about our plans after we win the war, like finding my parents, getting married, continuing at Hogwarts if we can.

"I mean, we have to continue if we can!" I said to him.

"I never said I disagree with you," Y/N said. "Of course, we need to finish our seventh year before we get married, we need to finish our exams and our classes but most of all, we'd have a year together with no threats or Harry and Ron walking in with something when we're spending time together."

I chuckled. "Especially with Addison as the Headmistress again. She'd have a full term as well. People did like her when she was that. But I'd love every single moment with you, babe."

I titled his head down to mine, kissed him and pulled him closer to me. I felt his lips turn to a smile as he kissed me back and put his arms around my back. We snogged for a good few minutes and we separated, but not before Y/N kissed my neck which made me giggle a bit.

"I love you," I said to him as we looked at each other.

He rubbed my cheek with his thumb and looked into my eyes with more love and affection as I smiled at him. "I'll always love you. And I am so lucky to be your husband soon." I pecked his lips again and we went on, but someone had arrived and made some noise as we ran back to find Harry face-to-face with Draco Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle.

Again, I knew that Draco was truly on our side, but he must have a plan about this. Especially with these two with him.

"Well, well," Draco said as he pointed the wand he was holding at Harry. "What brings you here, Potter?"

"I could ask you the same," Harry replied.

"I virtually lived here last year," Draco said. "Remember?"

"I remember."

"You have something of mine," Draco said, gesturing to his wand in Harry's pocket. "I'd like it back."

"What's wrong with the one you have?" Harry questioned.

"It's my mother's," Draco confessed. "It's very powerful, but it's not the same. It doesn't... understand me. Know what I mean?"

Harry reached for the wand as Draco said, "Easy..."

"Why didn't you tell her?" Harry asked. "Bellatrix. You knew it was me. But you didn't say anything."

Crabbe and Goyle turned to Draco, who hesitated and fidgeted with the wand. Crabbe and Goyle were loyal to Voldemort and so were their parents. If they knew about Draco, us and Draco would be in deep trouble.

"You knew?!" Goyle beckoned. "If he knows, you'd be in just as much trouble as your father!"

"Wonder how he'd react..." Crabbe said. "If we told him."

"Hmm. Yes, I wonder," Y/N questioned. "But Tom won't know." He turned to Draco. "I believe it's time to reveal your true colors, but these fools shouldn't report it."

Before Goyle and Crabbe could do anything, Draco got out of the way and ducked as Y/N and Lana quickly drew their wands and attacked them. They did retaitate and fight back, but we were able to escape them for a moment.

"Harry, give Draco his wand," Y/N said as he looked in his pocket. "Nabbed it off at Malfoy Manor, it's Scabior's. thought it would come in handy."

"How long --" Ron questioned.

"Since Harry attacked Draco last year in the bathrooms," Lana finished for him.

"I don't want to be like my parents," Draco confessed as Harry gave him the wand but with a look of confusion. "I didn't want to do this, be a Death Eater."

"It's alright now," I said. "You don't have to be anymore."

"Avada Kedavra!" Goyle yelled as he found us but we ducked out of the way. We were running out of the way as Crabbe ran into us and grinned as he was about to cast a spell, but Harry had shouted, "Expelliarmus!" towards him making his wand fly out of his hands.

"I had the Diadem!" Harry said. "But I lost it when they got here."

"Did you see where it went?" I asked. "The Diadem?"

"It's gone! We'll never be able to --"

"There it is!" Y/N yelled as the diadem landed into an avalanche of books. He looked at it, teleported to it, nabbed it and hopped back to us.

Goyle had found us again and casted a spell near Lana's head but she managed to duck, but it had enraged Ron. "You prick!" He yelled. "That's my girlfriend, you numpty!" he ran after him as Lana blushed to herself. But Ron came running back with a fearful expression.

"RUN!" He yelled again. "GOYLE'S SET THE BLOODY PLACE ON FIRE!"

As he ran to us, he grabbed Lana's hand and we followed after them but we looked back to find a sea of fire following after us in the form of a Chimera, a Serpent and Dragon roaring at us.

"Ah fuck," Y/N shouted. "The bloody dickhead casted Fiendfyre!"

"Fiendfyre!?" I yelled. "You mean the uncontrollable fires that no one can control?!"

"Yep!" He said, but then stopped for a moment. "Wait -- I have an idea, but it's mad. And I mean really, really mad."

"How mad are we talking!?" Ron yelled.

"I mean it could possibly stop Fiendfyre," He said. "But it could probably destroy the Room of Requirement!"

"WE'RE TAKING ANY MAD IDEA WE CAN GET!" Ron said.

"Good to know!" Y/N said worriedly as Lana got the idea and turned to him. "Ready, sister?"

"Always!" She said as she looked at me, Ron, Harry and Draco. "You lot -- get together! This could get dangerous!"

We listened as Lana got behind us and Y/N got in front of us. They drew their wands and as the flames got closer, they shouted...

"PROTEGO DIABOLICA!"

A circle of blue fire erupted around us and Y/N and Lana ran in semicircles. "Don't worry!" Lana said. "The fire won't hurt you if you're loyal to the ones who cast it, and we're sure all of you are."

"But too bad for them," Y/N said as he raised his hands and the fire rose up with them. "Run!" He yelled as we passed through the fire, and true to the twins' words, it didn't burn us since we had our trust in them.

However, the same couldn't be said about Crabbe and Goyle. Goyle had fallen into his own fire as the flamed creatures battled it out, and Crabbe had tried to pass through the fire, he ended up burning and killing himself.

"Serves em right," Ron said as we made it out with the Diadem.

"When I said they won't tell him," Y/N said. "I didn't mean they'd actually die from that. You all know that, right?"

"Hey, hey, it's going to be alright," I said to him and caressed his face on my hands. "You did it to protect us." I looked at the others, especially Draco. "All of us."

"You both sure we can trust him?" Ron said as he eyed Draco. "He does have the Dark Mark."

"He does, but he had the chance to call the rest to us," Lana said. "But he didn't. Gives us more reason to trust him."

"I meant it, Ronald." Draco said as Ron's eyes widened at him using his name. "I don't want to be a Death Eater. I didn't want to, I was forced to."

"We trust you, Draco," Y/N said. "But we need to destroy it now."

"It kinda hurts to destroy something from my own house," Lana said. "But it's necessary."

Harry took the fang, struck it into the Diadem and flung it into the Room of Requirement as Y/N and Ron resealed it, hearing the shrieks of the Horcrux wailing from inside the Room.

3rd POV

As the Diadem was burning inside the Room of Requirement, Voldemort's eyes gleamed from madness and rage for another of his Horcrux being destroyed. With each Horcrux being destroyed, he felt himself dying with each piece of his soul being damaged. He finally spoke for a moment as he said, "Nagini... come..."

Voldemort could feel himself dying as he stumbled. One of his Death Eaters had tried to come to see what was wrong with his supposed, "Dark Lord," but Voldemort didn't care.

"AVADA KEDAVRA!" He bellowed at said Death Eater, killing him in cold blood.

Tom Riddle had truly snapped.

He traveled to the boat house with Nagini, remembering the moments that he had traveled across this lake in his first year when he was 11.

Now at the ripe old age of 71, he was back as a feared figure, wanting to kill a teenage boy that destroyed him when said boy... was an infant. Lucius Malfoy had arrived next to the Dark lord and stared at Nagini.

"Stop looking at her," Voldemort sharply said to Lucius, who stood up straight at his command. "She smells your fear. It... agitates her. Be grateful she's just eaten."

Lucius looked at the bloodstain on the wall. Nagini had eaten the Death Eater Voldemort recently killed. "Forgive me, my Lord." He said. " but wouldn't it be more prudent to call off this battle and seek the boy yourself?"

"I DO NOT NEED TO SEEK THE BOY!" Voldemort bellowed. "Before the night is out, he will come to me! Do you understand!" Lucius had witnessed the Dark Lord's anger at him. It was nothing compared to Y/N Lovegood, his nephew who had killed Death Eaters.

"O-of c-course, my Lord." Lucius said before leaving but Voldemort beckoned him once more. "How do you live with yourself, Lucius?" He eyed him as he sneered. "Go. Find Severus. Tell him I need to see him immediately."

Luciu nodded and left, leaving Tom Riddle and Nagini to watch the lake. He stood there with his known literal lifeline.

Known was the objective word.

Because little did Tom Riddle know... all those years ago, he made another unintentional Horcrux. He had thought that Nagini was his last Horcrux.

But the last Horcrux was none other than Harry James Potter himself.

And if Voldemort killed him...

He'd be killing himself.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Back on the battlefield, students, Dumbledore's Army and teachers alike were all fighting the Death Eaters. Padma and Parvati Patil, Neville, Seamus, Madam Sprout and Kingsley Shacklebolt were spewing spells towards the Death Eaters. On the upper level, Professor Trelawney raised her wand and sent a Death Eater flying, earning more respect from the Irish explosives expert.

"There's more to me than incense and tea leaves, Mr. Finnagan." Trelawney remarked. Just then, Luna was cornered by a group of Death Eaters, But Neville shot a spell, knocking the Death Eaters down like bowling pins.

"Thanks." Luna said to Neville.

"Don't mention it."

The Golden Quintet made their way through the hall, but Hermione had spotted something from the corner of her eye and gasped at what she saw.

Lavender Brown was attacked by Fenrir Greyback. Greyback's lips glistened with Lavender's blood and eyed Hermione as if she was a prize for the taking. He smiled, started forward, but Y/N had other plans for the werewolf whose eye he stabbed. Y/N was more angry than he could have ever been. He was fucking pissed.

(A/N: Imagine Fenrir doesn't have his left eye.)

He slowly reached for his dagger as Fenrir licked the blood off his face and continued to eye Hermione, but Y/N was thinking ahead and was faster than Fenrir could ever be. His eye glowed a blue-whitish color, he growled and teleported to Fenrir, pushing him against the wall.

Fenrir Greyback was going to regret every single moment he found the Lovegood's rage in front of him. But it was his last.

Cause Y/N Lovegood took his dagger...

And stabbed Fenrir Greyback right in his heart.

Y/N POV

I plunged my dagger straight into Fenrir's chest, on the skin of which his heart laid underneath and he was shocked that I would do this. He was scared, more than he could ever be.

But I wanted to scare him even more. The same fear he gave his victims, I was going to deliver it to him tenfold.

And I stabbed him again.

"This is for Remus."

STAB.

"This is for Bill."

STAB.

"This... is for trying to attack my fiance."

STAB.

"This... is for attacking the Weasleys and the Burrow."

STAB.

"This... is for... nearly KILLING MY DAUGHTER, YOU FUCKING ANIMAL!"

STAB. STAB. STAB.

But yet, Fenrir was still alive. But he was scared for the reminder of his minutes. "Please... have... mercy." He croaked.

"Mercy? MERCY!?" I shouted at him. "You're the reason my godfather fears the public! You've turned many people into your victims, you rape, you kill, and you beg for mercy!? MERCY!?!" I yelled in his face.

"IS THIS HOW YOU WANT YOUR VICTIMS TO FEEL WHEN YOU ATTACK THEM!?" I kept shouting. "YOU LIKE IT WHEN THEY'RE SCARED LIKE THAT AND YOU BEG FOR MY MERCY!? HOW DOES IT FEEL, FEARING A TEENAGER!?"

"Please... mercy!" He begged.

"Taking your eye out was enough!?" I yelled. "Every breath you took since that moment was mercy for me. And I've had enough."

"So fuck your mercy."

With that, I got behind him, put my arms to his head...

And snapped his neck.

SNAP.

My dagger was still implanted in his chest as I grabbed it and watched Fenrir's corpse bleed out. He's finally dead. And I murdered him. Guess Dolohov will have a buddy in hell.

I purged my knife of his blood with my wand, but I felt it. Was this how Fenrir's victims felt? Being attacked by a monster? Did I finally fulfill what Umbridge told me?

No. I haven't. And I never will be a monster. I did what I had to do. The world will no longer fear Fenrir Greyback. And I was destined to kill him. Like I saw many years ago.

My face felt warm but it wasn't my blood. It was Fenrir's, splatter from each stab I delivered. I was about to rid my face of the blood, but I felt someone take my hand and walked in front of me. Hermione now stood in front of me and pointed her wand towards the blood and muttered softly. "Scourgify."

The blood disappeared off my face and eventually, my face felt free of blood. Hermione then laid her hand on my cheek and pulled me in to kiss her. As we separated, she looked into my eyes and smiled softly. "I know." She said. "You don't have to explain. He frankly did deserve it."

This earned a smile from me and Hermione took my hand and looked at the others. Ron and Harry were awestruck, but congratulated me and Lana patted my back as we continued to where we thought Tom Riddle was. At the boat house.

We arrived at the boat house, where Snape and Riddle were talking to each other. Voldemort had the Elder wand in his hand, admiring it as he spoke to Snape.

"Why doesn't it work for me?"

"You have performed extraordinary magic with this wand, my Lord. In the last few hours alone --"

"No! I am extraordinary!" Voldemort bellowed. "But the wand resists me!"

Snape looked at the wand. "There is no wand more powerful. Ollivander himself said it. Tonight, when the boy comes to you, it will not fail you, I am sure. It answers to you and you only." He muttered in his usual tone.

"Does it?" Voldemort asked him, showing him the wand.

"My lord?" Snape questioned.

"The wand. Does it truly answer to me?"

Snape said nothing. They stood perfectly still as we studied Snape's face. Calm, cool, collected as always. But twitching with tension.

"You're a clever man, Severus," Voldemort sneered. "Surely you must know."

Snape looked down at Nagini and back to Voldemort, still silent.

"Where, Severus?" Voldemort questioned once more. "Where does your loyalty lie?"

Wait a moment...

"With you, of course, my Lord." Snape said.

Voldemort stared at him and a long moment of silence followed until he finally spoke.

"The Elder Wand cannot serve me properly, Severus, because I am not its true master. " Voldemort said to him. "The Elder Wand belongs to the wizard who killed its last owner. Ollivander was quite explicit about that. You killed Dumbledore, Severus. While you live, the Elder Wand cannot be truly mine."

"My Lord..." Snape said, now with fear.

It made sense now. Why he helped us in the beginning of the year. Why he was always around with Dumbledore. His argument with him, why he killed him. Why his words when he killed Dumbledore were...

'Have you ever considered that you ask too much, that you take too much for granted? Has it ever crossed your brilliant mind that I don't want to do this anymore?'

"I was only following my orders..." I said to myself as the others noticed.

"What?" Harry said.

"Snape..." I said. "He was never loyal to Voldemort. He was always loyal to Dumbledore. Dumbledore... wanted Snape to kill him!"

"You have been a good faithful servant, Severus," Voldemort glared at him. "But only I can live forever."

With that, he swept his arm and swung it over Snape's neck.

Shick.

Snape's neck began to bleed out as Voldemort hissed in Parseltongue, "KILL." Nagini obeyed and inched forward to Snape and struck him with her deadly venom. Harry screamed as Voldemort traced the wand.

"Nagini! Come!" With that, he left the boat house, with Nagini following after him. We came out of our hiding spot and made our way to the dying Professor as his blood flowed and stained his shirt. Harry kneeled down and laid his hands upon the wound as Lana and I tried to clear the blood and heal it, but no use. It was Dark Magic, we couldn't heal those kinds of wounds.

Snape looked into Harry and deep into Harry's eyes. And for the first time we saw from him...

He cried.

"Take them..." Snape begged. Harry was confused, so Snape spoke again.

"Take them!" He begged once more. He shuddered softly and his tears changed color from a clear color to silver blue. It was a memory. Snape pulled Harry by the collar and looked at him. "Please..."

He dropped and released Harry as he looked at Hermione. "Give me something!" Harry said. "Quickly! A flask! Anything!"

Hermione understood and conjured a flask, handing it to us as I held it to his face, allowing the tears to drop into it. Snape looked in our direction and muttered softly. "Langden... Landgen would -- be very proud -- of you both. I'll -- I'll be sure -- to tell him."

He then looked at Harry as I handed the memory vial to him. "They are the same..." Snape said to Harry as he looked at his eyes as Snape's own dilated.

"You have your mother's eyes..."

And with that, Severus Snape, the Half-Blood Prince, was dead.

(A/N: Rest In Peace, Alan Rickman. I nearly cried writing Snape's death, and then I remembered that Alan passed away a few years ago in 2016.)
