Where Are They

It took most of the next day to figure out who the victims were. Melinda and her team worked all through the night to offer any type of help they could from the lab. The fluids were a mixture of semen and gasoline and they were indeed three blood brothers. Their DNA wasn't in the system at all, so Elliot told Rollins to search online for anything, any missing teens that was in the last few months of three brothers.
They eventually found the name of the three brothers missing from New Jersey. Derek, Cameron, and Xander Adams. They were missing for three weeks and suspected runaway with an older friend Michael Parker from New Jersey also. Now that they had a suspect and the names, they could find out more about them and what happened.
Elliot was in the middle of sending an email to the Adams brothers mother in New Jersey when his cell phone started to ring. Seeing it was Liv in the middle of the day made him worried. "Hey Liv," he tried to sound happy.
"Elliot its after three and Liz and Dickie aren't home. They've been coming home at 250 pm each day and they are around thirty minutes late. I'm worried with Kathy out of jail."
He was up at once. He was very worried as well. "I'm on my way."
Rushing to Cragen's office he threw the door open without knocking. Cragen looked up in surprise. "The twins aren't home yet. I'm going to go looking for them."
Cragen stood up. "Need anything from us?"
Elliot shook his head. "No, this case is taking most of everyone's attention. I'll keep you in the loop." He rushed out without another word, passing Fin who looked curious at him.
Elliot first went to the school to see if anyone left there had seen them. Everyone he asked said they left at the normal time for home with Alvin. Elliot felt a small glimmer of relief. At least Alvin was with them. He went slowly on the way home, to see if he saw Alvin's car anywhere. Nothing. When he got home, Liv was pacing with a screaming Eric. It was as if he knew something was wrong and his mother was missing.
"No sign of them yet. I do know that Alvin's with them, though. Slightly reassuring," Elliot stated. He started to pace as Liv jiggled Eric in attempt to silence his screeches. Eliza was pouting in her bouncer and Eli and EJ were watching the ordeal confused. They didn't know or understand that their older siblings were missing.
"What do we do?" Liv asked over Eric. Elliot shrugged. "Call all their friends and ask when the last time they saw them. The few people that I talked to at school weren't all that helpful. They only said they left at normal time with Alvin."
Fifteen minutes of Liv and Elliot calling Liz and Dickie's friends, even Maureen and Kathleen hadn't seen them in a few days. It was time to actually call Queens police. Maureen and Kathleen showed up at the same time the police did. Karry from the Missing Childrens Division took down all the information and said they'd do the best they could. Elliot knew what that meant. They'd check everyone that he already called and them chalk it up to runaway.
He wanted to be out there looking for them. In fact, he was almost out the door when Maureen stopped him. "Dad, don't. Liv can't handle two toddlers and two babies alone right now. She's just as worried about Liz and Dickie as you. She may not be our birth mother, but she has watched us grow up over the years and she's like our step mother. Something that we all love. Don't try to fix everything yourself. Take care of this family," Maureen told him gently.
Elliot looked at the door and sighed. She was right. He just wanted to protect his family. Perhaps he's been doing it wrong this entire time though. He gently kissed the top of her head. "Okay," he said with a small smile.
He went back to where Liv was breastfeeding Eric. Eliza was fast asleep in her bouncer. She loved that thing. Eli and EJ were playing with some toys. Another few hours and he'd have to give the boys a bath. He loved the fact that they were growing up so close. They were like twins, not knowing any difference if EJ was his blood brother or not. They fought like toddler brothers, they smiled similar, and even started speaking similar.
Elliot tried to go to work the next day, but he was nearly kicked out by Cragen. He said they'd be okay until Liz and Dickie were found. He'd pitch in when needed. So, hanging his head in defeat, Elliot walked to his car. After closing the door, he sighed and rested his head on the steering wheel. When he heard his phone ring, he rushed to see who was calling. Gasping happily, he answered, "Dickie! Where are you and Lizzie?"
Silence followed. "Dickie?" Silence still rang out in Elliot's ears. "Listen whoever took my kids, you will be sorry. I'll find you and if I find that a single hair was touched on their heads, I'll kill you myself," he hissed.
"Oh, Elliot. Why would I hurt my babies?"
His heart dropped three floors. Kathy. "Kathy, where are Dickie and Liz?"
She giggled manically. The few months she spent in jail must have turned her insane. There goes her going back to jail. She'll just end up in the nut house when they catch her this time. "Oh, Elliot. They're fine. They're spending the weekend with me, silly. Don't you remember?"
"Kathy, they don't want anything to do with you. What about Alvin Penny?" Elliot asked. He hadn't heard from Alvin either since the twins kidnapping.
"Oh, the boy that raped our Liz? He's...sleeping...I'll tell him you're concerned about him when he comes too. If he comes too, that is," she said slyly.
Elliot went back inside and ran to Cragens' office. He wasn't there. Phone to his ear, trying to keep Kathy on the phone, he found Fin and Munch and pointed to his phone. "Listen, Kathy, please just let Dickie and Liz go. I promise that we won't call the police and say that the twins ran away."
Fin and Munch both ran to their phones as soon as Elliot said Kathy. One was no doubt calling TARU to see if they could triangulate Elliot's phone call. The other had to be calling Cragen and Rollins that must be out in the field at the moment. Kathy made an doubtful noise and scoffed. "Not in your lifetime, Elliot. They're my babies. I gave birth to them while you were off playing house with Olivia."
Elliot was confused. He and Liv weren't partners when the twins were born. They didn't become partners until the twins were around 8 or nine years old. Why would she think he's been stepping out on her? That didn't happen until almost two years ago when Eli was around nine months old. Elliot shrugged at Fin who looked at him just as confused.
