Kathy Shows Up
Hi again, how are you? Snowing here, around 2 inches or more with the temp being only 11 degrees. Yay.

Elliot stood there with his mouth open in shock. She peeked around Elliot to see Liv sitting on the couch. She gritted her teeth, but didn't say anything. "Kathy?" he greeted, questioningly.
Kathy smiled at him. "Elliot, can we talk?"
He didn't want to. He wanted to be with Liv, helping her through this. Sighing, he stepped into the hallway and closed the door. Crossing his arms, he leaned against the wall and shrugged at her. "What?" He didn't mean for it to sound so harsh and cold, but she's the one that decided they were done. He wanted to try to fix their marriage, but she's the one that ran away.
Did he love another woman more than his wife? Yes. However, did he ever cheat? No, as much as he wanted too. He gritted his teeth as Kathy rubbed her stomach. He wished it was Liv that had gotten pregnant with his child. It was one moment of weakness during their separation and now a child will grow up in a broken home.
"I heard from your Captain that Liv was attacked twice and she's staying here," Kathy started. Elliot nodded, unsure where she was going with this. "I don't want the kids around her, so they won't be coming over until she's gone."
Elliot's eyes went wide. She couldn't do that. They had an agreement. "You can't do that. We had an agreement with our lawyers."
She shrugged as if there was nothing she could do about it. "I'm sorry, Elliot. I just don't want my kids around her."
He pointed to the door. "She's helped you so much over the years. You are really acting like a selfish bitch right now?"
Kathy sighed. "I'm sorry you feel like that, Elliot. I just wanted to come tell you face to face." She went to leave. Elliot stared after her, hardly believing it.
He didn't call after her, but he wanted to. It was a little late to call his lawyer, but he made a mental note to call him tomorrow. He reentered his apartment and tried to keep his anger under control. She was curled in a ball on the couch watching the news still. He watched her for a moment rest her chin on her knees. She didn't seem to realize he was back in the apartment.
Walking around, he gave a loud sigh before collapsing on the couch as well. He laid his head on the back and closed his eyes. "You okay?" she asked hoarsely.
"No, not really. Kathy said until you leave the kids aren't coming over," Elliot explained.
"I can go stay with Fin," she offered. Elliot quickly shook his head.
"No, I'm calling my lawyer in the morning. That's against our agreement," he told her, placing a hand on her knee for comfort.
Liv nodded slowly, watching him stare at the ceiling. "What're you thinking?" She asked lowly.
He shrugged. He didn't know what he was thinking, only that he wanted to be around Liv and his kids. "I don't know Liv. I thought that Kathy and I would be together forever, but lately I've realized how far apart we've drifted in the last couple years." He knew it was because of his love of Olivia, but not that he would ever say that to her face. He was much too chicken for that, at least at this time. What if she didn't feel the same? He'd look like an idiot.
They watched movies all night. Way past Elliot's normal bedtime. However, he didn't mind. Cragen had told him to come in later with Liv so she could do a line up. He didn't know how she was going to react to seeing the guy again, but he'd be there for her. Elliot glanced at Liv at the other end of the couch, finally relaxing and stretching out, engrossed in the movie. He couldn't concentrate on the movie however. Her foot was slightly touching his.
He held a pillow over his lap while their legs stretched out towards each other to hide his erection. He tried to make it go away, but she was jiggling her foot off the edge of the couch, forcing it to gently brush against his foot. He didn't want to move his foot and possibly offend her, she was finally calm enough to, in his opinion, be back to her normal self. He cleared his throat and tried to focus on the movie.
The next time he looked at Liv, her head was leaning at an awkward angle with her eyes closed. If she stayed like that, she'd get a crick in her neck and he'd never hear the end of it tomorrow. He gently picked up Liv bridal style and took her to Maureen and Kathleen's room when they stay over. He made sure she was covered so she wouldn't get cold before he went to his room. He doubted he'd sleep right away. Not with the problem his still had. He was just very thankful that she was asleep already.
He dreamed for the first time in a while. Liv and he were married, raising his youngest child with their children. Two of them, a girl and a boy. The girl had his eyes and smile while the boy looked so much like their mother it was scary. He and Liv were going out of town for their anniversary while the young ones stayed with their older siblings. He and Liv had just made it to the hotel room and started to kiss when Elliot jolted awake.
Glaring at his alarm beeping loudly, he ran a hand down his face. That was one of the more pleasant dreams. He glanced down at his waist. He had a tent going which annoyed him. He didn't have time to worry about that. Last night he simply relaxed enough to be able to go to sleep, which wasn't the best idea. He knew that it would still be here in the morning. He went to the bathroom to take a shower and take care of his problem.
