9:32pm

Let's go home.

Those words made her heart drop.

He wanted to go home. He didn't want to stay there with her. He didn't want to be with her.

"Oh, okay." Astra said quietly. "Yeah, it's getting late. We should go home."

"Aw, bye!" Laura and Ro said and they both grabbed her and hugged her tightly.

"Hey, what's your number? We'd love to hangout with you again someday." Laura pulled her phone out and Ro nodded.

Astra smiled and wrote her number in both of their phones. "I'd love to hangout again. It was nice meeting you guys, I'll see you later."

"Bye!" They both waved at her as she turned to walk back to her car, Orson following behind her.

She climbed in the car, and as soon as she was sitting down with her seatbelt on, she couldn't stop the tears that slid down her face. She grabbed the wheel and leaned her face on it as she started crying.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Orson's voice asked from the seat next to her, and then she felt his hand on her back.

I'm in love with you. I can't get the words out. That was embarrassing. You don't even love me anyway. She thought.

Man, she was turning into one of those girls in love. She was overthinking everything, she was acting silly around him. She never thought she would ever turn into one of those girls who have a silly crush on a silly boy. She was not acting like herself and it was embarrassing.

Everybody was right. When you're in love with someone you act like a complete fool, and you can't help yourself. Being in love wasn't as fun as she thought it was. It was scary.

It was scary because she didn't know if he loved her back, and she always overthinks everything and ends up hurting herself or breaking her own heart. Overthinking was a curse.

"Star?"

"Let's just go home, I'm tried. I want to go home." Astra lifted her head up to start the car.

"Okay." Was all Orson said.

She wanted him to say something else. Anything else. But he didn't say anything else, that was all he said.

They sat in silence for what felt like hours, and Astra wanted to say something, but she didn't know what to say, but Orson finally spoke up after a few moments.

"Drive to the lake." He said.

"The lake? Why? Did you forget something over there?" Astra turned to look at him for a second, just enough to see him shake his head, before she turned back to the road.

"Just stop at the lake." Was all he said.

Astra didn't know what he was up to, but she drove and stopped at the lake they had first met at. When she parked the car and turned it off, she barely turned to look at him before he opened his door and climbed out of the car with such difficulty.

"Why are we here? It's pretty late Bear Cub, and I'm actually really tired right now. Maybe-"

"Just come on." Orson smiled as he grabbed the crutches from the back seat and started walking towards the water.

"You can't swim if that's what you're thinking." Astra shut the car door as she called to him.

"I'm not swimming." He chuckled.

"Good, because I wouldn't go in and rescue you anyway, not in my clothes." Astra caught up with him. "Why are we here then?"

"Lay with me." Orson gently sat on the soft grass and set his crutches down. He smiled up at Astra, patting the spot next to him, before he layed down on his back.

"Okay." Astra said, unsure.

She sat down next to him and then layed down.

"I've always loved looking at the stars." Orson pointed at the sky and a smile appeared on Astra's lips as she saw how covered the sky was with beautiful little stars.

"It's beautiful." She whispered.

She remembered her mom used to love going outside with a blanket almost every night to watch the stars. It was always late at night so Astra was almost always already in bed, but there were some moments where her mother brought her outside with her.

Astra loved each moment she had looking at the stars with her mother.

"Star Gazer." Orson chuckled softly, and Astra playfully punched his shoulder. "What? I love it."

"And I love-" Astra immediately stopped herself, clamping a hand over her mouth, as her eyes widened.

Uh oh.

"You love what?" Orson turned his head to look at her, and when he did, she quickly lowered her hand from her mouth and gave him her best smile.

"I uh... and I love it too! Yeah, I love it too." Astra laughed nervously, but he seemed to fall for it, because he nodded his head with a small smile.

"Do you know any constellations? I mean, since your mother was obsessed with stars." Orson looked back up at the stars as Astra laughed.

"Actually, this is so ironic, but no, I do not. She never taught me any of the constellations. It'd be pretty cool to learn them all though." Astra put her hands under her head as she looked back up at the starry night sky.

"I know a few, but only by name. I don't know which ones they are or where they are in the sky." Orson shrugged.

"That's better than me." Astra laughed. "I only know one name."

"And which one is that?" Orson turned his head to look at her.

She looked at him, but didn't say anything, only a smile appeared on her lips as his brown eyes met hers. She would make him wonder what the one she knew was, like she always did with Harley.

Orson smiled back.

A sudden cold breeze blew past and Astra shivered as she rubbed her arms. "It's getting kind of chilly out here, should we head home now?"

"It's not that cold." Orson shrugged, seeming to not be bothered by the cold breeze blowing. "We're in Florida, it doesn't get cold."

"Well, it's cold to me and I absolutely hate the cold. And yes it can get cold in Florida." Astra shook her head, rubbing her arms harder, trying to warm them up.

"Come here." Orson held his arms out for her, and she stared at them.

"What?"

"Come here, I'll warm you up." Orson raised a brow as she continued to stare at him, not moving towards him. "What? You think I'll bite?"

"No." Astra laughed. "It's just, I don't know."

"Just come here." Orson grabbed her arm and pulled her towards him.

Astra finally gave in and scooted towards him. He wrapped his arms around her waist as she layed her head on his chest, and he started rubbing her back and arms with his hands, trying to warm her up a bit.

As Astra layed her head on his chest, a sudden sleepiness hit her out of nowhere and she closed her eyes.

Why was she so tired? She didn't want to fall asleep outside with Orson, if she was going to sleep with him, it'd be in a house on a bed, like last time.

"Bear Cub?" Astra mumbled.

Orson was making circles on her back with his finger, and she felt him lean his cheek on the top of her head.

"Yes." He whispered.

Astra didn't know what to say, and she didn't realize minutes had passed, or that she was drifting off. She didn't know how long they'd been out there, but soon time disappeared and Astra fell into a deep sleep.
