"Hola, mi sol."

Carlos Sainz walked up to his new girlfriend, Adelina Oliveria.

He wrapped his arms around her waist, though he pulled his arms back slightly as he felt her body tense up underneath his fingers.

Lance Stroll's chest deflated as he stared at the two of them, since he had been wanting to ask his friend Adelina on a date for a while.

It turned out, that he was too late because somebody else had clearly already done it, and made her their girlfriend.

"How long have the two of you been dating?" Lance questioned the couple, one of which was silently panicking.

Adelina was internally panicking, mainly because she had absolutely no idea how she had even managed to get herself caught up in something as stupid as this situation, but she couldn't exactly back out now.

She just hoped that Carlos would have an answer on the spot, because she could not have made anything that left her lips from now, sound anywhere near believable.

"Two weeks, but it's going great, isn't it?" Carlos Sainz lied smoothly, staring at the woman that was stood beside him with a smile that was fake, but very believable.

Adelina had to clear her throat before speaking, to avoid having her voice give out on her.

"Hmm, yes! Yes, it's been uh, it's been going great." Adelina honestly just wanted to ground to open up beneath her feet and swallow her whole, because she had absolutely no idea what to do.

Carlos carefully took a step closer to the woman, before he gently placed his right hand on to the upper part of her arm, with his thumb rubbing small circles over her skin.

He found it incredibly amusing that he had heard his name leave her lips as her apparent boyfriend, and had decided to play along, simply because why not?

He knew who Adelina was, because he had seen her around multiple times throughout the years, and even spent some time talking to her too, but he knew that he definitely did not know enough about her to persuade people that they were dating if people asked questions.

He knew who her father was, that she had lost her mother, that Yuki, Mick and Pierre were her closest friends, and that she had a fear of spiders since he had seen and heard her scream at the sight of one when she was in the AlphaTauri garage.

But that, was just about it in terms of what he knew about her.

Lance nodded his head as he took note of how the both of them acted around each other, causing a sting of jealousy to hit him.

"Anyway, uh, bye Lance!"

Adelina practically dragged the Spanish man who was now her fake boyfriend, away from the Canadian and in to his Ferrari garage.

Carlos brought the girl in to his driver trailer before he locked the door behind them, turning around to face her with a smirk on his lips.

"So, I am your boyfriend, now?"

Adelina rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms in front of her chest whilst she leant against the wall of his trailer, seeing an arrogant smirk coat his lips.

"Around Lance, yes. He's my friend and I panicked!"

Carlos noticed her genuine worry and fear of Lance finding out that she was in fact not dating Carlos, along with her embarrassment at having put herself in a situation like she had just done.

"Okay, so let's pretend that I am your boyfriend. To everyone, so that somebody can't tell Lance that we're not actually dating." Carlos proposed a situation, hoping to calm her since she started to become erratic.

"And how would we do that?" Adelina glared at him slightly, seeing a small smile coat his features.

"We convince them that the started dating two weeks ago but wanted to keep it quiet."

Adelina was very clearly debating it, since she zoned out as she was deep in thought, with her fingers drumming against her chin.

Since she had accidentally forced herself in to a situation that she would not be able to easily get out of, she knew that her chances of not having to pretend that she was dating Carlos were incredibly slim.

"Okay, but here's the rules."

Carlos nodded his head as he stared at her, a small smile on his lips that he tried to force back.

"No kissing, no bed sharing, as little physical touch as possible, no telling anybody that it isn't real, I am not sleeping with you, and we do this long enough that Lance doesn't ask me out, then we fake a breakup."

Adelina listed off her rules, and noticed the look that she was recieving from the Spanish Ferrari Formula One driver, causing her to roll her eyes at him.

Carlos watched the Oliveria girl carefully, watching as she was repeatedly wringing her hands together and her foot was constantly tapping on the floor of his driver trailer.

"Okay. Deal."

Carlos spoke after a small moment of thinking about it, since he himself was debating what he was prepared to do or not, and her rules seemed to fit him perfectly.

He held his hand out to her in the form of offering a handshake to seal the deal of their agreement and noticed the small moment of hesitation from the girl in front of him.

He slowly started to pull his hand back, in case that she had already decided to give up on their plan and not pretend to date him, but found that her own hand shot forwards to shake his after the brief spell of hesitation.

The duo shook hands whilst they stood inside the Ferrari driver trailer of the Spanish Formula One driver, their eyes staring each other down as their hands were being shaken, with their grip on each others hands incredibly firm.

Adelina may not have liked this idea, but she did not have a choice since she had accidentally put herself in this situation, so she had internally decided to make it a competition.

She was not going to be the one who made people realise that this whole charade was not real.

"Let the game begin."

I wonder how this will turn out....

Anyway, I have nothing against Lance, but in this he is her friend and she panicked because you will find out that Adelina is actually a terrible liar.

Which is obviously incredibly useful in this situation.
