Enoch's POV
"You're right. Thanks Elle."
She stopped dead in her tracks.
"Elle..? Eleanor? Hello?" I shook her by the shoulders.
Tears were streaming down her face.
"Eleanor! Are you ok?! You're crying!!! Talk to me!" I yelled, waving my hands in front of her face.
Her eyes went wide, awakening from whatever she was thinking of.
"Huh? Oh I uh.." She managed to stutter.
I pulled her into a hug.
Eleanor's POV
Enoch pulled me into a hug.
I sobbed, and sobbed, soaking the front of his grey sweater with my tears.
******
We made it back to the house, neither saying anything. Silence.
Miss Peregrine gathered everyone to go walk around Cairnholm.
"Good, good! Right on time everyone. Please do stay close, I wouldn't want to go out looking for you all frantic, as today is a beautiful day." Miss P announced.
We all headed to the cliffs together.
I lagged behind the others, kicking the bits of gravel and small stones.
I walked every so slowly, you might've thought I had a walking problem.
A rock about the size of a stone hit the back of Enoch's foot.
Whoops. Sorry.
I looked down, pretending I didn't kick it.
He turned around.
Oh boy.
"Look Eleanor, I don't know what happened back there, of what I did wrong, but please, if you need anyone to talk to, I'm always here to listen." Enoch said.
"Thank you Enoch." I said under my breath.
He nodded, hearing what I'd just said.
******
The small town of Cairnholm came into view.
The little houses and shops bunched together.
As we passed through the tress, I noticed a little mouse.
It looked at me, and I looked at it.
He mouse scurried away under the brush.
Aww little mousie.
******
We came back to the house, all exhausted from the walk.
Miss Peregrine allowed us some free time again, she was busy exchanging important phone calls with other ymbrynes. I went inside to take out my book from my duffle bag - the one from 2016.
Peter Pan it read on the front cover of the book.
I walked outside, the hem of my dress slightly brushing the leaves as I walked through Fiona's garden.

I spotted a nice oak tree to climb, swaying as I walked toward it.
The wind changed depending on my mood.
This time I was actually quite anxious. I was thinking of how Enoch was sorry for slightly triggering one of my most depressing memories.
We both felt bad.
I tucked Peter Pan under my arm and jumped to grab the lowest branch.
I swung myself over onto the limb and reached for another one.

(A/N)

Pls forgive me.

I kept climbing until I reached a nice spot, facing the view of the skyline.
The sun was starting to set when I got half way through Peter Pan.
I watched the horizon slowly fade from blue, to purple, to orange, to pink, when suddenly,
"BOO!!" said a voice.
I jumped, falling, which seemed like forever, bouncing off tree branches, shaking the leaves of the limbs.
I closed my eyes, bracing for the impact.

Dont you just hate it when you fall off a tree?

I do
