The halls are silent in the late nights I lay tucked into the shadows of a cave when I hear walking I lift my head in confusion and sit up as I heard the sound of talons on stone get louder '''where are you?''' a voice echoes in my head as the dragon prods at my mental barrier. I sit there for a second and wait to see their actions. They keep prodding at my mental barrier 'do you mean me' I speak out to their mind the prodding stops and the dragon seems to back up as if they'd been startled. My mind races with questions: Why is there another dragon with my gift? Didn't they lose the ability? How are there others like me at this school? Were they looking for me? Were they looking for somebody else? Do they know who I am?

"'Who are you????"' Moon says in a panicked voice. I respond vaguely "My name is lost in time". "That's unhelpful" Moon says exasperatedly. I stay quiet expecting them to walk away, but they don't so I ask "Do you need something?" in a questioning tone. The dragon responds "I'm looking for another dragon that can read minds, but I don't know where he is." Now I am intrigued so I ask, "do you need help?". "Yes" Moon proclaimed excitedly. 'What is his name, if I may ask' my curiosity getting the best of me '"i-don't know"' they say with an embarrassed tone 'do you know what they look like? how they act? Anything?' there is barely a pause before they responded "'Yes. They are male, they are a night wing, they are old and uh that's it"' they say sheepishly. I try to continue when i feel like i'm hit by a bolder 'beware the darkness of dragons beware the stalker of dreams beware whom is not what she seems something is coming to shake the earth something is coming to scorch the ground jade mountain will fall beneath fire and ice in less the lost city of night can be found.

"You are going to get killed when Midnight gets back!" I snorted. "At least I'll have Cloud to protect me.'' We all entered the eating cave. "So you talked to her?" "Yes" I answered Amber. "Well, does she know who you are?" Amber asked curiously. I answer, "not....technically.....????". "Okay, so you gave her a prophecy?" Sandstorm says in a monotone voice. "No. I recited her prophecy, somebody isn't allowing her to have it". I answer seriously. "You don't think it's Darkstalker do you?" Amber asked quickly. "Yes; there are two dragons that are suspects. Darkstalker, and......" I look over at Sealily. "Midnight" Sealily answers by illuminating his scales. "Yes, but Sealily would be able to sense him". Sandstorm says bluntly. "So, you are saying that it's probably a dragon that was hunted down for being too deadly for their tribes safety...That's AWESOME" Amber says with her voice laced with sarcasm. "He was the last one to see Midnight." Sandstorm says with a bit of emotion leaking into her voice. Sealily slightly shrinks in on himself at that comment. "We will find him. I promise" I respond to Sealily in my most serious voice that I can muster. "Find who?" Kinkajou asks. "An old friend that went missing during the war." Scrach said sadly. "Oh!" Moon said as she sat with Winter and a sandwing. Amber brought her wing behind my back and hovered it over my scales. "Why do you always do that?" Quibly asked curiously. "Do what?" Amber asks. "Well, you always hover, you never touch dragons" Winter says matter of factly. Amber looked down at her talons before answering, "the princess is probably looking for me, I'd better go" before darting off in another direction. "I'm going to go too" Sealily indicated with his scales. "Me as well, I'll see you later Sandstorm".
