Summary: How did Ant-Man know there were ants in Cassie's rug?... unless he put them there. Scott Lang just wants to protect his daughter.

Notes: What's this? A Marvel story that doesn't have Spider-Man in it? It's a miracle! I watched both Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp a few days ago and this story idea popped into my head from the first film. It will be short though.

Scott Lang watched his precious daughter sleep. He wished he could wake her up to talk to her, embrace her. But he knew that he could never leave after waking her. So Scott just watched Cassie peacefully slumber and listened to her soft breaths. She was so calm and at peace, it warmed his fatherly heart. If this mission goes wrong, he may never see her again.

Scott kissed his daughter's forehead tenderly and stood. Before he left, Scott touched the earpiece and concentrated.

  "Hey, any nearby ants! I'm Ant-Man, and I'm friendly to all ants! I just need a favor from you. My daughter, Cassie lives here and I need you guys to protect her. Can you help me with that?"

There was a light chattering response, which Scott could not understand. About twenty black specs marched through the window sill and over to Ant-Man's giant, in their perspective, shoe.

Scott grinned and shrank down to their size.

"Thanks, guys! Follow me!" He lead the ants up the train table to a dirty, white rug. "You're gonna hide in here and watch Cassie for me, okay?" The ants chattered a positive response. Scott smiled as gratitude filled his heart. "Thank you." Then an idea popped into his mind. "Operation: Protect Peanut is a go!"

Ant-Man flew out of the girl's room on Ant-Tony's back, knowing that his daughter was in good hands.
