One of the warlords interjects impatiently. "Yes, yes, but where did they go?" He pusses. Grimnel picks up a charred stick from a brazier next to him and begins marking the map at his feet with sooty strokes. "Must I explain this?" He mutters; then, he speaks loud and condescending. "Night Furies can't survive in the cold, so they haven't gone north." Grimmel He crosses out the lands to the north of Berk.

Back with the Vikings, The flock of dragons continues flying steadily toward the horizon as Grimmel predicts their every move. "They are trying to put distance between themselves and enemies to the East and South." Grimmel crosses out the lands to the East and South on the map. Hiccup sees a shape emerging between parting clouds ahead. "And Night Furies cannot fly long distances without rest."

A massive monolith of an island rises impressively from the sea, its thousand-foot sheared cliffs pushing through a ring of clouds. The crowd is silenced. Grimmel indicates a hopscotch-like path across islands toward the West. "Their flight path must include stops." he continues. Fishlegs break to the front of the crowd. "POTTY BREAK!" he yells; the convoy ascends the vertical granite cliffs of the towering island, piercing the ring of clouds surrounding it. As they rise above, the spired battlements of the sun-kissed stone give way to a jaw-dropping valley within. "Therefore they've gone... they can only have gone..." he pauses. "Does anyone want to take a guess?" A glimmering lake extends across the plateau, surrounded by verdant pastures and lush forests—sparkling waterfalls cascade from the snowy peaks. And at the far end of the lake, a majestic terraced island sits perfectly poised to look out over the golden sunset.

"Anyone?" Grimm says and tries to get the warlords, "Why-whu-who.." he sounds it out, but none of them gets it. suddenly, Ragnar places his ship piece on the eastern portion of the map. "East!" he exclaims, and in response, grimmel glares s and moves it to the west. "West! Simple! Do you see? Oh, isn'tthis fun? Yes? No. Yes!" he calls, but the warlords leave, disgusted. "Yes. Where's your love of the hunt? I thought you were conquerors! You'll have your prize in time. Just allow me a few more days to enjoy this." he calls after them, pausing as he gazes out on the island. "I have dearly missed it."

Hiccup dismounts on the terraced new island, surveying theidyllic landscape as Toothless paces, searching the sky forthe sapphire dragon. "Alright. LIt looks like we're campinghere for tonight." Hiccup announces, and Gobber thanks him, "Well, thank Thor for that!" Tuffnut drops to his knees, hands raised to the sky. "Yes! My place. I plan to builda hut only for the bearded.Ruffnut, you have to stay out. Chinwhiskers don't count." he says the last bit to his sister. Snotlout pushes through them, framing the treetops with hishands. "I see a tower of manliness in my shape" He glares at Eret, unpacking Skullcrusher with flexed andshining biceps. "It's going to be taller than Eret. With bigger muscles." the man says, and eret frowns, turning aorund to face the latter. "What?"Snoutlot takes his hand and snarls at eret, "Get outta my house!"

Eret turns entirely and says as politely as he can, "Hey, is there a problem here" Snotlout puffs himself up, pressing chest to waist againstEret. "Yeah, there's a problem. Ever sinceyou showed up, you've been trying toupstage me! You're just so jealous! It's delusional." the more petite man hollers, and eret rolls his eyes sihgihng. "Yeah, delusion's a good word forit." Snoutlout then back at teh more muscular man, "Listen, son of Eret! When Hiccupblows it as chief, I'm next inline. Number 2, because I'm Valka's favorite, you betterstart showing me some respect," he then stomps off. "Huh. Strange little man," he mutters, and as he passes Gobber, the man gives Eret a sympathetic pat. "Don't mind him. It's not your faultthat you have the body of a Norsegod," he says and pauses, taking his hands to his back. "I have the same problem." Gobber cracks his back and shrieks out in pain. He takes a pickaxe from Grump's saddlebag and plants it in the dirt.

"Blacksmith stall goes right here,"  he says but then recoils in horror when he suddenly finds himself face toface with a gaggle of Hobgobblers. He starts counting them, confused that they've somehow multiplied. "Gah! 1, 2... 3, 4, 5..." meanwhile, Viking immediately start calling out, staking their claims:"This one's mine!" "I spotted it first" "Bah! I'll fight yafor it!" Etc. Hiccup talks up, signaling everyone to calm down. "Okay. Hold on, Gang. I said makecamp..." Gobber rushes over to him, still startled by the Hobgobblers. "...Not build a new village." Hiccup finishes his earlier words. FUSSY PROTESTS issue from the travel-weary crowd. "Come on.""Are you serious?" Etc "Who died and made you chief?" Snoutlout calls out but gets in response Groans fill the air in unison. Eyes roll. Gothi flies by in abasket carried by Terrible Terrors. She cracks him on thehead with her staff.

"Granted, this place is very nice, but it's not the Hidden World,"  Hiccup says, ignoring snoutlouts remarks. a viking speazsk up agrny adn tierd. "We don't even know if this HiddenWorld exists." "Yeah, this place is real." another one calls. The crowd SOUNDS OUT in agreement. Valka chuckles, approaching. "There's nothing more stubborn thana tired, hungry Vikings mob." Hiccup SIGHS. "Yeah, well, I guess this can workas a base in the meantime.Defensible. Hidden..." he muttered, then talked out loud to the group. "All right. You can stay." Gobber miles and cheers, "Say hello to New Berk! Let's getbuilding, lads!" The crowd CHEERS, tossing helmets. "Until Toothless and I find theHidden World." Hiccup cuts in, and boos sound out. Tuffnut pulls him aside.

"Now about that voice. Can we losethe whole honking goose thing? It'shard to imagine wedded bliss withthat going off every minute." Hiccup grimaces and walks off with Valka. "If you're going to continue West, Ishould head back to make sure weweren't followed," she says, and Snotlout appears, grinning. "Great idea. I'll go with you. Forprotection," Vlaka answers him horrified, "NO!" She sighs and talks calmly. "Y-you're far too important here." Snoutlout girns and mutters, "Yeah." He saunters off; chest puffed out. "Just... be careful," Hiccup says to his mother. He can see that she is holding back. "What?" he says, and Valka considers her words carefully. "This plan to hide us from the restof the world... though I wish itwere possible, I fear it can'tlast, Hiccup. I tried to do the same foryears, but greedy humans alwaysfind a way. I just... I only askthat you think about it." She walks off, leaving Hiccup to consider her advice.¨'

He turns to Astrid as she strokes Stormfly affectionately andsets about unpacking her saddle. "Do you still think I'm crazy,or...? " he asks, and she pauses what she's doing, turning to glance at him, saying, "Let's just say this whole idea isvery... you." Hiccup smiles. "Well, thanks for supporting me lastnight. It meant a lot." Astrid pulls Stoick's notebook from a crate and hands it toHiccup. "Don't thank me yet. I hopeyou're right about this." She walks off, leaving him to contemplate the book.
