♠ Chikamsi ♠

She walked out of the Principal's office with her head held high, but her stance wasn't fooling anybody. Her eyes scanned the area for her best friend, Chetachi.

“Ezi enyi," she called, breaking into sobs as the light skinned boy took her in his arms.
“How are you and Gracious?" She asked him, trying to make conversation before letting him know what she had to tell him.

Chetachi's arms tightened around her for a minute, before easing his grip, “There is no Amara and I," he whispered.

Chikamsi nodded, “I'm sorry. I just didn't want you to get hurt." She pulled out of his embrace, arms still around his waist looking up at him, “How were your results? Did you gain admission?" She asked him.

Chetachi nodded and smiled, “I'm going to study Architecture in Orion State University.
It's not too far from home, so I'll be able to visit Chanah often,and explore my new found love for painting. There are a lot of beautiful sceneries in this town." He said.

She smiled and nodded, “Well, I failed so you'll be seeing me more often as well."

                            ♠ Gracious ♠

“Are you sure you can do this?" Her father asked her.

She nodded and gave him a teasing look, “You worry too much, Daddy." She said, her father frowned and handed over his credit card to her, “Don't overspendz and call me if you ever want to leave there, you hear?"  She gave him a mock salute and rolled the green box along with her, stopping at the front door, to kiss her brothers goodbye.

The Uber she had ordered was already waiting, and Gracious didn't want to pay an extra ten naira for each minute she kept him waiting, so she shooed her brothers inside so she could leave.

After her exams, she had decided to take a gap year to fully discover herself. She didn't want a repeat of what happened with James happening to her in the university.

Gracious had decided to give this self love thing a chance, but she knew it was a journey she couldn't make alone. Her mother had been elated when Gracious called, informing her of her plan to spend the first few months of her gap year with her.

Gracious' father had refused, claiming that she was a bad influence on his daughter. “I'm not the slimmest person alive, but I'm healthy, and I appreciate my body and the totality of who I am. I want the same for my daughter as well." Those words won him over.

Your journey with The Lost Ones has come to an end, but their journey is undoubtedly just beginning.
It's the end of the story for us, but a new beginning for each character I've chosen to love and cherish as my own.
