♥Chikamsi ♥
“Why are you covering your head with a—" Chetachi was interrupted, when James, started mock hyping (teasing)the hell out of his best friend.
“Salesgirl, well-done ma" James called, walking towards the fair girl, a sweater clad Chikamsi with a mischievous grin on his face.
"Omo Cheetah, your bestie don turn salesgirl o."James laughed, briefly glancing around the class, before bringing out his phone to show them the latest post from 'The Lasgidi Vault.'
Chetachi turned to her, his raised eyebrows, silently questioning her.
"There's nothing wrong with being a salesgirl," he defended,
“and besides, we all know The Lasgidi Vault has debasing nicknames for glorified titles she just closed a deal with Darling hair abi?" Chetachi asked turning fully to face her.
She sighed, gave a slight nod and settled down.
Marketing for Trip Market was what she wanted to do, not this- not constantly being forced to get a formal education, when there were so many opportunities to learn informally.
She leaned against Chetachi, her head resting on his chest,a bored expression on her face, as she waited for her 'better half to arrive.'
Eniola had insisted on calling herself that, since she found out that Chetachi was Chikamsi's best friend.
In her opinion, a best friend was your other half, and since Chetachi happened to be in the picture, she happened to be the one with the 'glorified' title of Chikamsi's ‘better half.'
"English teacher said you haven't been attending his classes, why?" Chetachi asked, his deep voice making his chest rumble as he spoke to her.
Chikamsi sighed, gave a not-so obvious eye roll, and leaned off him.
"That day was the day Darling hair asked me to show up, and I've been busy with their work since then." she explained turning to face him.
Black orbs watched her intensely, she squirmed a little under his gaze, and Chikamsi knew that he was aware she lied.
In a bid to change the topic, she gave him a small smile and asked him to guess what had happened to her the previous day.
Chetachi was trying to play along when their maths teacher stepped into the classroom and the students rose up to greet him.

The science library was a good place to read, it was better than the main Library, which was full of unwanted distractions, like the Air conditioner.
Why was an AC so loud?
What business did it even have making noise in a Library of all places, she had new content to plan for her next brand promotion, and dealing with a noisy air conditioner wasn't worth the hassle.
Chikamsi slipped a note to the librarian containing the components of their ‘deal' if she were to call it that, and walked inside.
To her, the place reeked of formulas, and physical quantities, but at least it was better than an old air conditioner that refused to stop working or keep quiet in the general library.
Her phone had been vibrating nonstop since maths class, but she didn't want to answer it and attract any more insults from their maths teacher Mr Andrew who had a very hazy veiw of her.
In a way, it did her good.
The man believed she didn't know math when infact she couldn't care less about how trigonometry and integration affected real life analysis.
She chuckled and shook her head, school and always teaching you stuff you didn't ask for or need.
“What are you waiting for?" the maths teacher had asked after Eniola's little accusation of him being a misogynist.
She had raised an arched eyebrow at him, given him a one over, looking at him like dirt, and uttered a one worded reply that made the class go wild.
“Apologize"
That was the thing about Eniola.
She wasn't going to sugarcoat things for you, neither was she going to pretend that her opinion did not matter.
So long as she felt it, she said it and if you happened not to agree with her, you were in for an invariably lost battle.
The maths teacher, Mr Andrew hadn't realized in his one term stay in Jasper High School that Eniola was a fighter.
Her unrelenting approach to justice and equity for the female gender, and the uncompromising way in which she stayed her stance, ready to beat down her opponents, had earned her that nickname.
"I'm not going to apologize to a student, who does she think she is?" The maths teacher said, discreetly moving back to avoid any more of the darker girls accusations and glares.
She didn't even want an apology. She was the brand ambassador for Darling hair right now and her phone had been ringing since. She told him not to bother, and began packing her things.
He didn't need to really, there was nothing she was going to do with his half hearted, if not totally fake apology.
And even though Eniola insisted, and Chetachi tried to calm her down, Chikamsi packed her books and left the class.
A green lounge chair sat in the corner of the library, awaiting her.
She had first marked this chair as hers when she came here three years ago, deciding to take a ‘quick break', answer her messages and get back to class.
Chikamsi pulled out her phone, dropped her school bag beside the chair and settled down.
She scrolled through her Instagram page, her last post had gotten over 60000 engagements. According to her insight out of almost eight hundred thousand followers, 60000 had tapped on the link and actually bought the product.
“Not bad" she muttered closing the app and going to her email.
Her eyebrows were nonexistent, due to her frequent shaving and shaping for photo shoots, she decided to shave them off and draw on fake eyebrows whenever she was going out.
Content creation wasn't easy, but she loved her audience, and would go to any length to give them optimum satisfaction.
An email came in from Trip Market, a reply to the one she had sent to them three weeks ago, practically begging them to let her work with them as a brand ambassador, stating how she admired them, and it had always been her dream to do just that.
She tapped on their reply, eager to see what the multi million dollar brand had said.
Chikamsi Omonigho, Thank you for contacting Trip Market, your email is quite captivating, so is your profile.
However, you are not of age to work with us, we regret any inconvenience this might have caused you..
Cheers,
The Trip Team
That was it! All her effort, hard work and dedication, including her recent post that Shade Onam had liked, and shared!
Seemeha Malik had also shared it.
They were popular professional teen models, and all Trip Market could say was cheers, she scoffed, bringing out her notepad to jot down points for her next post.
She smiled as a thought occured to her, Chetachi's habit of jotting down items had rubbed off on her.
“But wait o," she frowned, pausing her writing.
“people are wicked sha, they couldn't even let me market something for them, let me even try at least" she sighed squeezing the bridge of her nose and glancing at the rejection email again, she tapped on it for a few seconds, the trash icon came up, and she deleted the email.
She was going to try,
“Chikamsi you are not a quitter, you hear?" She said to herself. She was going to grab Trip Markets attention until they came to her before she was eighteen, begging her to work with them.
“Im not an influencer for nothing" she scoffed swelling with pride as she went back to her content planning.
Wahala for who no be influencer 😂😂😂

A lot of you guys in the previous chapter commented on how Mr Andrew didn't mind his business, was such a horrible person and everything, this actually happens a lot in nowadays but sadly there's not always an Eniola to stand up for them,I want to encourage you guys to speak up for whoever is being bullied or maltreated, be it emotionally, physically or verbally.
Let's do our part to help ease other's pain, if only a little.💙🍦
Thank you and have a nice rest of the day😗🦋 or night 😗😂
