"Of all the irresponsible, bull-headed, stupid!" Vespera paced in front of Bella as she sat in a metal chair back at the base. She was less than happy about Bella's actions.

"What did you expect?" Bella protested. "The guy tried to kill me."

Vespera ran her hands down her face in frustration. "It was unplanned and irrational."

"I'm nineteen." Bella crossed her arms. "Did you really think I wouldn't be impulsive?"

Vespera spoke through clenched teeth. "I figured that you would be less impulsive."

"Sorry to disappoint you." Bella's voice dripped with bitterness and sass.

"This is why I don't work with teenagers." Vespera muttered.

Bella stood. "I resent that. Haven't you ever wanted to get revenge?"

Vespera opened her mouth to speak, but hesitated.

"Don't you dare deny it." Bella pointed accusingly at her. "You think you're so high and mighty because you've had hundreds, maybe thousands, of years of experience, but guess what, I haven't. So, don't judge me because I'm less 'rational' than you." She stalked towards the door.

"Tam Song doesn't care what happens to himself." Vespera's voice echoed through the room.

Bella turned. "What?"

Vespera grinned. "He doesn't care if you threaten him or hurt him or even kill him." She walked towards Bella. "But there is a way to harm him."

Bella met her gaze. "I'm listening."

Vespera walked around behind Bella, trailing her hand along the girl's shoulders. "If you want to hurt Tam Song, you have to go after his twin sister."

Bella smirked. "And where can I find her?"

"Patience, Bella." Vespera moved to a chair and sat down. "You need to get ready for what comes next."

Yes, this is another short chapter, but I don't want to skip between perspectives mid-chapter and there wasn't much to cover. So, I hope you enjoyed it. We're starting to get into the fun part of the story.
