Sophie's perspective:
Sophie sat cross-legged in the grass as Luna and Wynn nuzzled her neck and nudged the picture on her lap. The gnomes has found it when they were cleaning out Valerie's room in the Silver Tower. It was a portrait of Wylie hugging Valerie from behind. They both wore silver capes - signs that they were both in the elite levels. Valerie looked up and back at her brother with a wide smile that made her eyes close. Wylie's grin was more mischievous, as if he'd caught her by surprise. Sophie had never seen that side of him. They looked so happy.
She didn't want to imagine Wylie's face when Lihn told him what had happened.
Adoption might've made them sisters, but Wylie had known Valerie a lot longer.
Sophie squeezed her eyes shut, a tear leaking down her cheek. She should've been there. Why hadn't she convinced Elwin to let her stay the night?
Her imparter rang and Sophie dug it out of her pocket to answer. Valerie's face flashed across the screen.
"Hello, Moonlark."
"Valerie," Sophie could barely breathe, as if Valerie were Mesmerizing her through the screen.
"It was a shame how we ended our last meeting." She smirked. "Care to try again?"
Sophie took a deep breath. This could be their only chance. "You're on. Where do we meet you?"
Valerie chuckled, fingering a small crystal in her hand. "That's for me to know, and for you to hopefully be smart enough to figure out." She grabbed the crystal in her clenched fist. "I'll give you hint, neither of us have ever been there before."
The screen clicked off and Sophie was left standing in the Alicorns' pasture with the babies trotting around her curiously.
Sophie picked up the photo off the ground and dashed to the house.

Mr. Forkle, Fitz, Biana, Marella, the twins, and Wylie were all crowded into the living room at Havenfield along with Sophie and her parents.
"She didn't say where she was?" Forkle asked for what seemed like the hundredth time.
"No." Sophie answered, a little exasperated at this point. "All she said was neither of us had ever been there before. And I think she showed me the leaping crystal." Sophie held out a picture of the crystal. She had projected the memory as soon as she'd reached the house.
Forkle examined it. "Grady could you..."
"Done." Grady held up a slip of paper with lots of scribbles on it. "It leads to Silver Moor."
"Of course it does." Forkle sighed.
"What's so bad about Silver Moor?" Biana asked, making Sophie feel a little better about not knowing.
Forkle cleared his throat. "Silver Moor was to be the original location for Eternalia, until they found its current residence. Unfortunately, they'd already begun construction, so we had to hide it from the human world. It's completely abandoned and no longer considered part of the Lost Cities. Some even chose to ignore its existence, which is why no one from this generation knows about it."
"And what's the problem?" Tam stood with his arms crossed in the corner. He'd gotten even more distant since the fight with Valerie.
"The problem, Mr. Tam, is that we have no idea what's out there." Forkle clarified.
"This is most likely a trap." Grady observed.
"Yes." Forkle agreed.
"But we have to go." Sophie insisted. "This could be our only chance to get Valerie back. We can't just leave her."
Wylie finally spoke up. "Sophie's right. Even if you tell me not to, even if no one else comes, I am going after her."
Forkle sighed, muttering something that started with "you kids." "Fine." He gave in. "But I will not be coming with you. I have other matters to attend to."
Grady stepped up. "I'll keep an eye on them."
Forkle nodded and held up a yellow leaping crystal.
Grady, Sophie, Fitz, Biana, Tam, Lihn, and Wylie all joined hands and stepped into the light, letting it carry them to Valerie.
