Third Person's POV

*At Eggman's base*

"It would seem the peaceful days of tending my garden will have to wait" Zavok's master and part of the deadly six said walking up to him.

"While I take care of theseatters the rest of you cannot" he said "Please, Master Zik, this is not something you should trouble yourself with" Zavok said "It's beneath you" he said "Oh, now, don't be concerned" Master Zik said showing off his skills against Zazz and Zomom "It will be good to stretch these old bones" Master Zik said and walks out.

*Some time later after fighting Sonic and Brody*

"I tested the blue and yellow duo and they are more powerful than I anticipated" Master Zik said "They show much potential and they certainly make a good team" he said "Who cares about them?" Zomom asked eating donuts "Now that I'm free, I want to squeeze Eggman until he pops" he said "And eat him, I suppose" Master Zik said "Well yeah" Zomom said "There are better ways to make him suffer" Zavok said "But more delicious?" Zomom asks "What would you say if I told you we could destroy Eggman's world and use its energy to make ourselves unbelievably powerful?" Zavok asks "Well I would say that I had taught you well" Master Zik said and Zavok turns on Eggman's machine starting to drain the planet's life energy "Yes, you have" Zavok said "And it will be Eggman's own creation that causes his destruction" he said laughing.

*Meanwhile at Tropical resort*

Brody's POV

"Sonic? Brody? Something bad's happening" Amy said on the communicator as we can see life energy being sucked "Whoa what's going on?" I asked "I don't know. It's like something in the sky is draining the life out of the world..." Amy said "Plants, animals, even the air feels cold and dead" She said "Ok, you guys stay safe down there" Sonic said "We'll try to figure out what's going on and stop it" I said and Amy nodded hanging up.

*Later*

Sonic and I run when a familiar stick is thrown at us "Your time is almost over, brash hedgehog and wolf" Master Zik said "I shall prepare for you a lesson in respect" he said "A painful lesson" he said "Oh, someone's gonna get taken to school all right" Sonic said "Follow if you dare!" Master Zik said and we follow him for round 2.

*Later*

"We have a mutual problem, one so large that it will take both of us to overcome it" Eggman said walking up to us and Tails "Whatever. I told you we can handle the Zeti by ourselves" Sonic said "And I already told your boyfriend I'm not interested in talking to you hedgehog!" Eggman said "Still you shouldn't doubt that we can defeat the Zeti" I said "True that's not my worry. The thing is the rebellious swine have gotten hold of a device of mine and they're using in ways for which it was never designed" Eggman said "What was it designed for doctor?" Tails asked and Eggman ordered Cubot...well his head to show a hologram of Eggman's machine "It was supposed to extract energy from our world, but the machine is unstable" Eggman said "Once it reaches full power it can't be shut off" he said "It will drain our world dry!" He said "So that's what Amy was talking about" Sonic said "And you just wanna go smash it, don't ya?" Tails asks "Well yeah" Sonic said "Sorry Sonic but that's a stupid idea" I said "What? But it's what we always do" Sonic said "Thank the lords one of you is resonable. If you wish to create a cataclysmic explosion that will incinerate everything within a hundred miles then please smash away you moronic hedgehog!" Eggman said "Isn't there a way to turn it off?" I asked "No not anymore" Eggman said "I need to get to the machine and reprogram the shutdown sequence" he said "I'll supply the brains, Sonic and you will supply the brawn I need to get past the Zeti" he said "Oh, and you're aakinf so nicely" Tails said "Heh good one buddy" Sonic said "heh thanks" Tails said "Man up Tails! I don't like working with my most hated enemies any more than you do but our entire world is at stake!" Eggman said "Come on Brody, even you have to admit I'm right" he said "So basically we havecolmon interests" I said "Precisely!" Eggman said "hmmm we really don't have a choice but to work together" I said "Good to see you have a level head" Eggman said starting to walk off as I hum in thought "Are you sure about this Brody?" Sonic asks "Yeah working with Eggman is..." Tails said "Annoying I know but to be honest It's worse to let him go off on his own and make things difficult for us. At least by working with him we can keep an eye on him should he try anything" I said "Okay you're the boss" Sonic said kissing my cheek "Ooh you just want to make sure he doesn't try to betray us, We can work with that" Tails said smiling and I nodded as we follow Eggman.

Knowing the type of guy Eggman is I'm almost positive he'll turn on us after the deadly six and the machine are stopped.
